Mine is still "Prepared for Shipment" so I'm starting to think for whatever reason it won't be here on Saturday. Ordered 15 mins after they went on sale. I did just get an email from Apple saying they were refunding the extra shipping I paid (just in case).

;) I know, but I'm pissed at the people who went "thank god!" I mean, seriously? You'd rather take somebodys life and have an iPad?

That is the thing - I did too, that is why I apologized...

I would NEVER want someone's life over an iPad. I wouldn't be the UPS Logistics Manager in China to say "Send a crew of three and a plane loaded with parcels into a warzone or through a hurricane, just so I get my bonus for having those on time for Apple."

Far from it, actually...

I'm in the same boat :/

I got my tracking number last night but It says on UPS's web site "Ship by April 1st" and billing info recv

Anyone else have this or is this normal?

It should never say "ships by April 1st".

The UPS site never says anything like that.

Can you go to www.iship.com, click on trackit, enter your info, and copy whatever is there into a reply here?

I would like to see what it says...

i dont know what's going on now.. mine says shipped/billed on: 4/1/10
the other day shipped/billed on: 3/30/10 and then mine went back again to shenzhen... oh boy...

it has to do with timezones...

Plus some of those scans may not ACTUALLY be shipping / billing info, but rather customs clearances or internal activity from corporate.

Basically, i don't know. You can copy the last few things from your status here, but other than that we can't really say exactly.

UPS63 is on final approach and UPS71 has landed.

Everyone get ready to hit the refresh button a thousand times... the next hour just might be a doozie :)

or a total flop. And out packages are going to leave on tomorrow's flights. Who knows... lol.

Well it isn't "shipping by then" but I would assume it will be shipping "today" in China...

You should expect an update within the next 12-14 hours depending on when they decide to ship it. It could take until tomorrow around this time to get an update.

So I should still get it saturday.... I have saturday Delivery in my area

To celebrate my iPad delivery on Saturday, I will have I-Pad Thai for dinner.

Heh. I think I'm going to steal this.

A coworker who is not getting an iPad--yet--did tell me he's going to a friend's party on Saturday, the party being to celebrate the friend getting his iPad.

Which also reminds me--next to tech, my big passion is cooking. Major. I just totally overcooked some chicken because I was busy reading this thread. I never overcook anything. I'm ready for this waiting phase to be over. :)

(It's weird because I can go several hours at a time without checking the UPS tracking--I know that stuff takes time. But I read this thread pretty much constantly when I'm awake. Temporary insanity!)

Hi all!

Could I recommend the nifty little menu bar application Changes Meter to everyone here? :D I find it very useful in these tracking-needy days!
Works with Growl and everything. I just input my iship.com URL and the UPS url, and let it work it's magic every 5 minutes, and I never have to do a single reload!

No, I'm not affiliated with the developer, and it's free anyways.

Yes, you should. That was Apple's promise. And there is still plenty of time for UPS to make that commitment.

Haha same here! Usually I have my apps and I check the status a few times for packages, as well as use flightaware. However I don't usually go as far as answering every question thrown at me about anything I have ever known about UPS or tracking XD.

I actually let my mac and cheese sit until it was cold yesterday because I was caught up in this thread so much :D. And I agree, cooking and tech are two of my big passions, but so is science and aviation. So sans the cooking and bio stuff, aviation and shipping fit hand in hand for me to be able to enjoy tracking my packages, and help people know where their package is down to the flight it is on and things like that :)

I love knowing the flight too - because I will know before UPS Customer Service knows if it will be delayed. I did that last christmas with a present I ordered - the flight was flying into storms and the next flight out was delayed - so I called and the lady laughed and said "Wow, you called the second it updated on my screen. You should apply for logistics when you are old enough..." hehe :)

You are not alone, I had a doctor's appointment today and kept reading this thread on my iPhone until I got back to a computer. Hoping to see some else with the same info or close enough info as mine report good news.

No I am definitely in your boat. It showed KY and then it disappeared after the "EXCEPTION" came off. UPS keeps subtracting info from the window. I have no clue what's going on. Regardless, you, me, and everyone else who ordered this Day 1 or right at the beginning better have that package on time.

Keep in mind, the KY Exception note was just an internal note put in the UPS system to collect paperwork from Apple. I had that same note two days ago and I can assure you, it was never in KY. It is now sitting in a holding area in KY I am being told until release tomorrow or Friday to overnight to Boston...

Its weird iship.com shows different than ups's website. You'd think ups.com would be the most accurate.
