iship.com shows that extra "IN TRANSIT TO" bit. Try it. Most people have been using that site to cut and paste from.

Nope: Here's my entire iShip.com history:

Scan History:
3/31/2010 6:49:00 AM BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED CN
NOTE: The times listed in the scan details are local time.

I think they go to Orange County.

I remember now. Ontario Airport. Then it will get sent down to Gardena and be out for delivery by the next morning. That means they really don't have to send my iPad to Ontario Airport til Friday night. That's gonna be nerve racking.

You guys realize that UPS is just screwing with you and that all the iPads are in the states already. I talked with UPS and they said dont pay attention to the tracking because those getting the iPad on the 3rd, theirs are already stateside.

I would feel a hell of a lot more comfortable if I had AT LEAST an "origin scan"

Thanks for that, you're right!

Woo hoo!! :)

Rather odd that some third-party website has more accurate and up to date information that the shipper itself (UPS) though.

It is weird (and I forgot - I thought that you meant the "In Transit to Guangzhou" part, not the KY one.

But yea, it is because iship.com accesses UPS's servers directly, and provides unfiltered updates. The UPS site filters out certain notifications for clarity and for conciseness on their page.

TechDude 16,
Thanks for the explanations, man, about Chek Lap Kok. And apparently you've been wicked helpful to everyone on here, I've just been on here starting today. So yeah, good work, man.

Thanks again. Seriously, anyone that can help prevent me from like, freaking out even more than I am, deserves props. :)

Thanks man! I appreciate it.

Its fun looking this stuff up. I like doing this kind of thing... plus it keeps me from being bored, and also teaches me even more about what to expect the next time I get something internationally (iCar, or maybe iShipping, perhaps :p)

Read my explanation above - sorry but I don't believe it.

Because that status would not show up EXACTLY when it says it happened, and UPS can't screw with their system like that - it is based off of feeds from all of those posts - what about the other ACTUAL packages besides Apple's? UPS can't screw those ones up too. Because then it would screw their OWN info up and wouldn't be able to provide any service.

Gotta love the fact that I spoke with numerous different people at UPS over the course of a couple of days, every single time I was told Saturday delivery was available in my area.

Today I get an email from Apple saying my iPad will be delivered Monday. Called UPS again. Guess what? No Saturday delivery.

Would have been nice to know in advance so I could have changed my order to in-store pickup!

In 2010, I find it difficult to believe that UPS couldn't have provided Apple with a list of zip codes where Saturday delivery isn't available. Then when ordering an iPad the customer could have been notified immediately about the later delivery and made their choice accordingly. Not waiting until 2 days before delivery when its too late to change the order to tell them!

I don't mind the extra waiting, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time so I could have made the right choice.

BTW If you are having trouble visualizing exactly where our packages are going, go to boxoh.com and put in your tracking number.

The map will help a lot :)

These scans are weird. Take note of the one that is dated 04/02

Be careful, because international saturday delivery dates are a little bit different than those that are domestic.

I would suggest waiting and seeing. But if you got that email then you probably are getting it Monday. And Apple DOES have access to those zips - I am a UPS shipper myself, and I had the book AND PDF file somewhere, but I cannot find it right now...

never the less it shows all of the zones and what the dates and delivery types are in that area.

So trust me, Apple knows...

I don't believe it either. I am just not sure why there still isn't any further information. Does "billing info received" and nothing else mean there is a chance UPS hasn't even picked up my iPad from the factory?

This is that site translated (time wise):

2:05 AM EST - UPS23 - VHHH Hong Kong -D> PANC Anchorage

7:15 AM EST - UPS63 - VHHH Hong Kong -D> PANC Anchorage

I don't know about the 2 AM, and nobodies packages have reflected ANY packages from Hong Kong - they have all shown from ZGGG Guangzhou, that is why I think that these flights are irrelevant.

Again, I think UPS71 @ 7:30 AM EST from ZGGG.

Actually mine went from HK to AK, and there were a few other posts earlier today with the same tracking info as mine

i just called internation ups. they told me my package would be here on MON. I told her it was suppose to be delivered to me on Sat. she said in order for it to be delivered on saturday it had to have a certain sticker on the box mine did not. :( because UPS doesn't ship in my area on SAT.

can you do the shipping from https://iship.com/trackit/track.aspx ?

Because the UPS site does not show the in transit statuses to Guangzhou.

I don't know, but I mean all of what I have been seeing are statuses from Guangzhou.

It is possible that they could have shipped some from HK, but I just haven't seen it myself.

I just don't see them putting it on a flight that is also going to Japan - as it would take longer and THAT I know hasn't happened from what I can tell from their flight plans...

I have a theory

All of us who still just have billing information received and no origin scan I think that our iPad's have been stolen.

Yeah, I've already talked to a few people. Before, I was told it was available in my area as long as it was an "Express" shipment, even for international shipments.

Then I got that email and spoke to UPS again and Apple and suddenly no Saturday delivery.

FedEx does Saturday delivery here. I know that from recent experience. So its odd that UPS doesn't. And its not like I live out in the sticks. I'm just outside of LA.

Interesting, when I go on UPS.com to try and ship myself something from LA or Boston to my town in Maine it doesn't give me the option for Saturday delivery. However, the UPS driver from here that I know and the UPS center one town over said if something is Next Day Air it will be delivered to my down on a Saturday. So, I'm a bit confused.

Well then it is quite possible they went from Hong Kong to Anchorage then - I can't seem to find the flights, exactly, but there are some that are close that I guess would have been the ones.

Either way, people's packages are moving and they are getting them on Saturday (if they know they have the delivery in their area).

Anyways, there is pretty much no way those flights to Osaka (according to Hong Kong Airport's online stuff) are not ones iPads are flying on to reach AK.
