I did look at that thing posted earlier about the UPS shipping numbers... I had heard about it before but I forgot which numbers changed and how.

I looked into it a little saw that they are going by Apple Web Order numbers... each subsequent Shipping # has the next web order number, chronologically....

I didnt steal info or anything, not that you can do that, but it makes sense... at least to some degree. And those Tracking Numbers nearest mine all shared the same tracking status of Enroute to Guangzhou....

It does make some sense, bulk shipped until Kentucky, then broke up there.

Well I'm just so glad that I woke up early on pre-order day and everyone that ordered days and weeks later is enjoying the process of watching their iPads shipped when I am sitting here refreshing every 30 minutes of the past 3 days just to see "Billing info received" stressing out hoping to God it gets here on Saturday... How depressing. I'm seriously killing myself over this... I'm so stressed/pissed.
It's Apple's way of taunting you for throwing a fit about the case not shipping. ;)

Seriously, don't sweat it. I'd bet it arrives Saturday.

It's not necessarily the fact (well it sort of is) that I'm worried that it won't get here Sat (IT BETTER ) but it's just that I ordered so early yet I see no "results" or changes and when you go to that tracking page and see the same damn thing over and over when "everyone" else is see theirs, it just sucks.

Haha I understand your frustration - when I ordered my iPod touch when they were first released, I ordered the day of preorders, and I had the same experience.

Then I got told it wouldn't deliver when it was supposed to because it "Missed the aircraft leaving CN by about 30 minutes."

You know what happened? I got it on time anyways :)

I called Apple and made them aware, and the guy gave me $100 worth of free stuff (I got $25 before because they double charged my credit card).

2 minutes after getting off the phone with him, I got an email from a manager in China (from Apple) saying that it was a mistake in the tracking and that it will be on time. That day it updated in KY, and I got all of my stuff (the iPod and the free stuff) in one day :)

Yup. That is how WorldShip works - consolidated until necessary for easier customs and shipping :)

Friend of mine and I ordered within 5 mins of each other, on same flight now it seems, so I guess that correlates. (we got the KR stop, too lazy to update sig)

Okay, I sent an email earlier to UPS China, and that was when all I had was an origin scan. I just got this email in response (and I know the department she forwarded it too - it was the same as when i emailed them about another shipment - it is the division manager for international shipping and shipmment requisition)

Here is what she said just now (So maybe the Guangzhou update was an error, and they really left Hong Kong? Or maybe she was being general in saying they left Hong Kong and will be enroute to the US):

Yea, happens a lot when they do things in bulk, somebody on one side was quicker imputing the data than a previous person. I bet 50 cents and the crumbs of the doughnut I just ate that you are on UPS 21

Good, so I'm not the only one refreshing my UPS status every 10 minutes.

Haha not every ten... I think that is overkill xD. I have it open and maybe every 10-15... but pretty much every 20 minutes I refresh it.

But my flightaware tabs automatically update every minute or so. So yea. Haha.

Plus my iPhone will send me a push notification if anything changes, along with about 4 other services online that will do the same :)

Looks like I'm in the same Korea boat as others on here. What does AIR SCAN mean though?

btw, TechDude... sad to hear about Nick Tahou's closing, when did that happen? Whenever I'm in roch-cha-cha I like stopping by Dinosaur's.

I'm just hoping mine is on a flight from Hong Kong to Anchorage right now...

Both UPS Flights are enroute, UPS21 is enroute and then UPS43 should be enroute :)

but I am going to head out for the night all.

If there are any updates (especially those with the Guanzhou Enroute statuses, post them here and PM them to me if you'd like).

But I am going to get off so I can get some sleep and wake up early to check the status again and see if it is updated - its like Christmas :)

Night all!

Happy refreshing / tracking :D

Haha AirScan means that the package (and the container it is in along with all of the other Apple packages) has not been removed from the aircraft.

However it does reflect that the aircraft landed in Incheon, KR and that the aircraft did load/unload other packages.

The Airscan is just a confirmation that occured, but that your packages were never removed from the aircraft for any reason other than to get the ones for Incheon out :)

And Tahou's closed about 4-6 months ago maybe? I will have to ask when exactly... and Dinosaur is good, but there are some good restaurants coming to town that are really impressing me - so finally the cuisine life in Rochester is keeping up its flair :) Roc City FTW Baby :)

Only every 10? Amateur. :p

I have a tab open on my PC and I have a package tracker on my phone....so if I'm not refreshing one every 2 minutes, I'm refreshing the other.

I seem to be on the same shipment as you guys and I was a bit worried it would be stuck in China and me without my iPad

My iPad has been sitting in Kentucky for almost two days. I know I should be content with that, but I'm getting bored. I need something to stress over. You guys are having all the fun.

What's killing me is that mine still says Kentucky. But two days ago it said it was 10 miles away from my house in New Jersey. It went from Kentucky to New Jersey back to Kentucky!

What you saw was an exception listed at your local UPS location, your package never left Kentucky.

I saw mine do the same thing, but to Virginia. It was just the local facility doing some kind of processing. It didn't ever really leave Kentucky.

All of you who have an iPad on a plane have nothing to worry about. It is the people like myself who only have billing info received that have real cause for worrying.

The only activity we have seen is a change from our original bill date to a later date.

Yea, that sucks, but I would be shocked if yours did not suddenly get scanned in Kentucky within the next 24 hours.
