I would but i'm at work until 4 at least then i live an hour away. I had it sent to this store since it was near my office. Soooo don't really want to go there on lunch in traffic and leave and then go again after work if it isn't there yet. I really think i might just order the 1 hour pickup ones that don't seem to be reducing in stock online.I pre-ordered for in store pick up on Saturday 2 phones. Last night my update changed to preparing your order. I walked into the store when it opened and said i didnt get an email for ready for pick up but was told on the phone my order is good and will be ready and to go to the pick up line, which i did despite being worried that something would be wrong. Luckily i was wrong and walked out of there with my order. I did notice that being the cage in the mobile section there was many available for walk ins, but then a UPS truck arrived which may have contained more phones. So if you didnt get the email and you live close to the best buy for in store pick up, take the chance and see if they already put it aside like they did for many at the location i went to.
I am so annoyed at still sitting at pre-order status for my pickup when they have walk-in stock available... Absolutely NO MOVEMENT since ordering. I'm just going to cancel and place a new order for 1 hour pickup.
well its saying my phone number isn't eligible to upgrade since i havent cancelled my preorder yet. I wonder if it will make it instantly eligible again when i cancel? ugh... what a pain in the ass
Just pulled a 180. Decided to go for the Midnight Green Max 512GB after having it in my hand for an hour. Finally walked out the Best Buy haha!
worked this time.... now lets see how long they think an hour is. I actually changed from going with the 256 to the 512 myself and I'm not trading in my iphone x . I think it will be faster to keep it. I'll just give it to my 11 year old. He will be stoked.

why are they activating it for you? I usually just pick it up and activate it my self. I am not about to sit there and unbox a phone and wait on some jackass to to take 45 minutes. I'm going to take it to my office, pop out the simcard, pop in my old phone simcard and carry on about my day. I do not understand why these companies still make everything such a giant hassle. If you can get your phone shipped to you then why the hell do you have to stand in a store and let some teenager activate your device you could have done yourself?Going on 3 hours at Best Buy getting these activated with att. The couple before me has been here already literally 4.5.
Decided for the first time ever to try Best Buy out for launch day preorders. Ordered for pick up, everything going smoothly until today.
I was going to stop by BB after work to pick up me and my mother’s new phones, but at 11am this morning I get an email saying “Thanks for picking up your new phone!”
I’m internally freaking out. How is it even possible someone else picked up my phone or they claimed the wrong phone got picked up? You need ID, credit card, and your name has to match the account (ATT). Of course it’s also launch day so it’s taking forever to get through to anybody at the store. Waiting on hold right now still but at this point I might as well wait until I stop by physically. Just don’t wanna be there all night.
Never again am I giving them a preorder.
