I think those who preordered will get them by Wednesday next week. If you look at the inventory at stores, those without inventory say that the next available date to pick up phone in store is 9-25 or so. If I ordered online I could either pick up now from store (any color) or have shipped for free tomorrow from my local store. Such a dumbass system they have.
The stock has updated. There are still plenty of phones For pickup today (well “a few”) at most Best Buy’s around Boston. So I am sure they will send them pickup email today for the preorders. I mean. They’re there.
I assume they’ve already moved the preorders to a pile to be tagged and set aside for pickup.
whats left is for a straight order and in store pickup. Ill update when I get the email.

I think they are allowing UP TO one month for arrival. I am sure they will arrive before then.
Also, Titrau. I did one time payment and didn't get my phone either. If you wife is going to kick you out of the house for not having the new phone on launch day...I would say you should take care of the marital situation first!

So how long BB ship out delay , 1 week ? 1 month too long , iphone is good when new come out 1 month who want it ? better wait till 2020
Does bestbuy sell iphone without carrier , i will spent 1k buy it without carrier for my wife ,
I might call off work today and checking around else where got iphone for her , loose 1 day jobs better than homeless , i dont want living in street just for an iphone
I wish i could just order online for pickup at apple store today. I'm so done with best buy at this point. Cant trust anything the inventory says
I ended up getting a tracking number last night around 5:30pm. And around that time the package showed up in my UPS app as well. As of tracking this morning, it's now out for delivery.
The only thing that irks me a little bit (#FirstWorldProblems) is they shipped it by UPS ground, which means in my area there's a good chance it doesn't get here until 5:30pm. Normally that would be fine, but I was supposed to leave for a work trip today and would have preferred to leave earlier. Luckily it's flexible, just annoying.
Considering how much we all pay for these phones, sending it's 2nd day air would have at least ensured I got it this morning. It might have been better if I had just gone to pick it up at the store.
edit: the tracking updated and gave me a window of 12:45pm to 4:45pm which is unusual for my area, so maybe they have dedicated/additional drivers doing this (like during the holidays) and it will show up early? (*fingers crossed*)

guessing i ordered when they said they had limited stock available and fulfilled someones elses order and now i won't be getting a pickup today email even though it says I will. Pretty sure the inventory only counts those that have been processed ready for pickup.
What does the 888 bestbuy number say when you call? If ready for pickup, go get your phone!
I think that their stock is now updating in real time, at least at my store. I saw that it said "Act Fast – Only 2 left at your store!" on the model I wanted. So just now, on Friday/launch morning, I canceled my order that had been stuck on Pre-Order for so long.
So then I submitted a new order, and the status immediately lowered to "Act Fast – Only 1 left at your store!"
Now my order is already on to "Preparing for Pickup Today"!
So here's hoping...

Got my email from Best Buy last night to pick up my watch and then early this morning I got the email to pick up my Pro Max today. I'll be heading over there after work today.
says preparing. i ordered when it said limited stock this morning. Shows no stock now on the site but my order says preparing for pickup today.
If you just got the email yes. It will take a bit to get the 2nd email for ready for pickup since the stores are not open.
