I plan to replace my iPhone 12 Mini with the next SE. I need standard screen size for my games, simply for larger font size. As for the weight, if the rumors are right, the upcoming SE should have only one camera. That should shave some weight.

The next SE will likely be an XR/11/6.1” style and size tho no? Even if trimmed bezels and 60hz oled in there

I did grab the 256. With my luck from Amazon, this seems like such a better deal. I know the casing will be in good condition and the battery will be 99%. I'm stoked. Going down from the 15 Pro Max. Cannot wait.
Apple refurbished store states that the outer casing and battery will be new.

I wouldn’t buy anything from Amazon anymore since they’ve made their return policies way more strict in the past few months. It was the only reason I used them before.

Display should be new as well at these prices. I know OLED Apple devices are pretty good at not getting burn-in with normal use, there’s no guarantee the phone used to be at max brightness 24/7 before being refurbished.

what is the easiest way to migrate from eSim on my 14Pm (as NA models have no SIM card) and AT&T service to either SIM or eSIM on 13 mini? esim to esim or esim to sim?

..And what if I were to want to get service back with 14Pm? I dont plan on switching back and forth all the time, but might be nice to take the other one for a spin occasionally

really? can you elaborate im curious

6.1" is standard screen size nowadays, right? Since Apple no longer release new Mini, I will move on from Mini to Standard.

yeah but 6.1 is a lot bigger in the hand than 5.4 imo.

6.1 is what drove me to max: I dont think its that much more uncomfortable for added screen real estate and more importantly battery life gains for being in a similar league of unwieldy, after having 14PM two years and 12Pro for 2 before that.

I want to replace my iPhone 8, but just can't decide. iPhone 13 Mini could be a good option, but it lacks USB-C and it's already a bit old, so it will receive less support than newer iPhone.

Guess I will keep my iPhone 8 for a bit...

another intrigue is the official MagSafe battery pack which was discontinued when iPhone 15 / USB-C came out in the fall last year

just grabbed a new genuine one off eBay for upper $40 after tax

seems like it would make a good pairing with the mini, I have used someone else's before and found it nice but not worth the $100 asking price when it was sold

but the design is real nice and coupled with the compact phone, not a bad accessory to have laying around

bonus that I could use it with my 14 pro max as well as needed... since its not tied to one iPhone unlike the smart batter cases (which I also thought were cool, 'lived in one' essentially for 2/3 of the duration of having SE2)

Low power mode has to be helpful for 13 mini longevity right? especially being 60hz display

LPM on 14PM having PrMotion is super jarring, its quite a bit jankier than native 60hz displays imo.

Tempted a bit to grab a 512 but 700 bucks for a 3 year old refurbished phone still feels a little crazy.
That’s the one I picked up about 6 months ago. I love it, hop between that and a 15 Pro Max. Not too much difference performance wise but the screen sizes are worlds apart.

I actually like both.

How do you swap service between them?

Don’t understand. You’re averse to an iPhone13mini because (a) Lightning connector, (b) a tad old, and (3) it will receive less support than today’s model. I get that so far. But then you say because of these you’re keeping your iPhone8? Wut? An iPhone with exactly the same issues but even worse for the third issue? As I said, don’t understand.

Not too much difference performance wise is good to hear. Guess my 13 will last quite a bit longer.

Planning to get the 16, but always keeping my mini as a spare.

Curious to know, where is everyone's battery life at? Mine is at 84%

My battery is at 77% and it was purchased in April of 2022.

I’d like to keep this phone and just replace the battery but I am growing tired of Lightning and the inconsistent connection with the charger. Each time I have to very delicately position the charger within the port to ensure connection then gently let go so as not to disconnect it.

If a new port at the time of battery replacement would fix this… then I’m all in for several more years as I have my iPad Mini 6 for tasks requiring a larger screen.

After using mini 12/13 for years, finally upgraded to z flip 5 last year and flip 6 now. I love both apple and samsung. Missing SIM card tray is forcing me to switch.

hyped! the refurb iPhone 13 mini I received has a beautiful, bright, crisp (crisp text in particular no fuzzies) and uniformly white display. shames the other two I tried in years past briefly but could not stomach for long much less for full msrp at the time.

me likey.

I won the screen lotto

ignore the tempered glass screen protector distortion
