This year‘s camera takes photos with double the detail. It literally went from 12MP to 24MP on all models by default.

very useful for the countless people that print their pics in A4+…

what the other ones care about is low light performance, as that makes the difference between having a picture or not.

I'm not sure why people care so much about the titanium or edges if most just put it on an ugly case regardless. The only thing that I really thought were interesting for me was the GPU upgrades, but frankly I doubt we'll see much AAA gaming coming to the iPhone. The hardware available on the Macs has hardly moved the needle.
I think it's funny that you're not sure why people care about titanium (lighter) but then mention GPU upgrades which most people couldn't care less about.

Am I the only one who still has a bunch of devices with lightning connectors?

So now I'll have to go years with two different kinds of cables or replace all my lightning devices? Great. :(
And all the people who have accessories with lightning connectors (docks, etc) now have to replace them. So yay to the EU for promoting more consumerism.

15 pro max 5x telephoto is much better than Samsung s23 Ultra 10x telephoto

1/3.2 sensor 1.12 pixel size 15.5 mm2 f2.8

Samsung s23 Ultra 10x telephoto

1/3.52 sensor 1.12 pixel size 12.1 mm2 f4.9

1.375 more stops of light with a larger sensor and aperture.

EU regulators are a combination of utterly stupid (cookies = scary) and malicious. The one good thing they did was force Apple to quit crippling its old phones w/ iOS "updates" that rendered older devices unusable (hence one needed to buy a new phone).

Exactly, it will remain a “when i sit on the toilet” gaming device.

I just wonder how many Pro buyers really utilize all those Pro features after 1-2 weeks with playing with them. I bet not many.
I have a 14PM and never use any of the features exclusive to the 14PM.
It's work phone so I don't really care - just use it for email, text and calls.
Sort of an overkill if you ask me - but then it's the taxpayers that are footing it.

My personal 14+ is very good with a much better battery life and lighter too...

Not sure about upgrading my 14+ this year since I have another year of SOS emergency paid for.....

At this point I don't know how you can complain about USB-C and getting rid of your lightning stuff. We knew it was coming.

I think this is the post-keynote rush speaking. :) It's a nice incremental update. But I don't see anything groundbreaking. The real-life differences between the 14 Pro and 15 Pro won't be that noticeable. Good for them to habe USB 3 on the Pro though.
Can you believe that my First Generation 12.9 iPad Pro has USB 3. It's 8 years old.

this will make you smile. The devices that I have for my iDevices (Car and Denon desktop radio) has the 30 PIN Apple connector!

How much better did the photos actually look? The cameras are already brilliant. Unless you're a photographer it's really not that big of a deal. And if you are, you're already using a real camera.

Dumb question on USB C. If I get a USB A to USB C cable, will wired car play work the same as it did with USB A to lightning?

Battery life of the Pro. models is exactly the same.
I don’t think I’m going to upgrade. Those are too insignificant changes compared to my 14 pro max phones. The battery health on both of my 14 promax models are still at 100% so I would be getting rid of a perfectly good phone. I will really have to wait and see the video overview of the iPhone 15 by Austin Mann in order to really decide.

14 pro max would make a decent home-based iPod on a stand since it's too heavy to carry around as a phone. ;)

I honestly believe anybody preferring lightning over usb c as a technology must be crazy.

Its faster, it’s used by a gazillion of devices (Apple ones included), it’s way easier to find somewhere to charge should you need it.

Can you name a single thing for which lightning should be better than usb c?
Makes 0 difference to me, at my desk use MagSafe and in car, also at my desk still need lightening to charge my keyboard and trackpad for my iMac.

The only potential blocker is the Made for iPhone (MFi) program which Apple uses for CarPlay. You should be fine but it wouldn't surprise me if you need an official Apple cable.
