How are you liking your black Apple silicone? I know you have stone gray as well. Do you go back and forth or mostly use one over the other? I just ordered the black and have stone gray already.

Ah, that Jet Black 7 was my favorite. Wish they’d produce that finish again, though not possible with the current materials of course. Such a cool looking phone…
It’s been great so far. I haven’t been swapping back and forth, plan to run this one for a while to see how it wears before switching over to the gray. I also have a black Lumen arriving today and a frost black Ultra Hybrid T arriving this weekend. I’m mostly curious about the camera control covers on the Otterbox and Spigen, though I’m open to one or the other replacing the Apple if they’re better than expected. Seems unlikely though as I’m pretty well satisfied with the Apple.

I've had mine on since day one for the most part. This years silicone holds up better than before. No degradation at all.
The Apple silicone case has survived a million drops. On tile floors, LOL. (I'm clumsy, distracted and I have cats.) I especially like that it has a significant front lip as a disproportionate number of drops seem to land screen side down.
LOVE the way gen Gen6 frosted feels in hands, there are no more rough edges whatsoever on the case and feels thinner overall when holding it.
Type C port is much bigger than before so that issue is cleaned up. The only thing I don’t like about it is the buttons are way more flush now. Still very clicky but they are just about flush with the case.
Camera control cutout is done very clean also. Overall really like the case just not sure how I feel about the flush style buttons.

Been waiting for this one! Did notice they removed the raised edges on the back and rounded it out. Wonder what that will do for scratches on the back. If you pop in the “ultra” style buttons from last years case do they become “unflush”?
Yeah I did notice that now what you say so and I wish they would’ve kept them. But honestly your phone rests on the camera hump and the bottom is the only thing that rest on a surface. I’m ok with it but still prefer them to be there.
Someone in the thread had one when it first came out and aid the camera control cutout was loose. Then Apple pulled the whole series completely. I just checked and now they’re showing to arrive end of October. Keen to see how they’ve changed or improved it.
Thanks! I ended up getting there and they sold out of both so it’s on order, supposedly will be here Friday. I went with black because I heard this years is a little blacker than the 15 pro black that I currently have… I want BLACK as black can be lol
Just guessing, but I wonder if this is a result of stiffening up the area around the buttons to prevent it from getting loose over time as it sometimes has in years past?
Ehhhh I don’t think so because it still has a little movement when you press it. It’s not that much improved than before.
Interesting. What do you mean? I bought both mine from Apple the week before iPhones were delivered. Both arrived and have had no issues.
Forgot about Incase. Their Slider cases for the 3, 4, and 5 series were so good.
A few pics of the Otterbox Lumen on my black 16PM. Initial impression is that it’s a nice case. Tight fit, buttons are good, cutouts are good, and the camera control cover is excellent.
It’s glossy, but has a sort of tacky feel, which some will like and others might not. I’m guessing fingerprints are going to be an issue, not sure about scratches.
The front lip is perhaps just slightly more prominent than the lip on the Apple Silicone while covering more of the bezel, so there’s less room for dust to collect, which is nice. It’s a very good fit with the Belkin UG.
My initial impression is that the Otterbox and Apple camera control covers are equally responsive. This case is slightly stiffer, so the shutter release takes slightly more pressure to activate (just slightly) which may be off-putting for some (works fine for me). Swiping is equally responsive, and because the cover is just slightly inset to the rim of the case, it’s actually easier to tell where your finger is on the button surface without looking (hunting for the control without looking is a minor issue for me with the Apple).
We’ll see how it goes over the next few days, but so far it seems pretty good.

I have the Mous Limitleas 6.0 in Blue. It’s a great case. No MagSafe imprint on the back, after using it for a week.
The Mous Clarity has disappointed me, but mostly for the way Mous keeps delivering tje cases. The first one had a production scratch inside and stiff buttons. I returned it. After receiving the Limitless and being happy with it, I decided to buy another Mous Clarity. Ordered the wrong one, forgot about the MagSafe. But the case was great. Not damaged, nice feel. I ordered the MagSafe.
And it got delivered today. Case was repacked, finger smudges all over the insides and outsides of the case and three big scratches at the inside of the case. I get it, this case will scratch. But let me be the first one to do it. Why do I need to pay 70 EUR for a case that had been returned before? That’s crazy. I ordered through Amazon. I contacted Amazon and they said Mous shipped it. So I contacted Mous to let them know. If I don’t tell them, they will never know and can’t improve. Who knows, maybe they want to replace the case for a non-returned model.
In other news: the Caudabe Synthesis got in. I ordered it on September 23. It’s a great case and very happy with it. I still want to give the Clarity a chance, but I first need to get a hold on one that wasn’t returned or damaged before.
Unfortunately not… the store I went to is kind of lame. They only had a Desert Titanium PM and and Natural Titanium Pro strapped down so you can’t even see the back or hold it… oh well. I went with black because I figured I couldn’t go wrong with it. Although I guess I could have tried NT then returned within 30 days if I was unhappy
The strip of plastic where the camera control cutout connects to the front of the screen is loose is what the member said at the time.
They were available for a week or so and then they all became unavailable. It recently came back up with an estimated delivery of end of October.
