Right, get a mini 5 if possible or wait for a hopefully improved 7.No way! I don’t want to be dealing with a jelly scroll.

Yep exactly same boat. I also think iPhone 16 Pro Max (or Ultra or whatever) is looking like the next phone to get. I'd love to be able to skip the dynamic island if possible, and if not, at least with a larger screen it won't take up as much relative screen space.Yeah. I was thinking about upgrading from the 13PM to the 15 PM. But news of a slightly bigger screen is actually one of the biggest upgrades I personally want. That and make the island smaller, which I assume they will next year. If they can keep good battery life and with the 3nm chip keep it running cool, they'll have have a great release.
This year we get:
Periscope camera. I think that will be useful for a lot of people.
USBC. Going to make charging much easier. Fewer cables.
3nm chip better battery and runs cooler. That's pretty fantastic.
2024
Slightly larger screen
bullet hole front camera (so much better than the pill and notch)
more efficient 3nm chip
better cameras in some way
I personally feel it's worth waiting until next year. this year will be better than the past 4 years, but I think next year will be a beast.
This seems about perfect for me. I love the size of my iPhone 12 Pro (not max). I had a iPhone 8 Plus and it was just too big. However, I do wish the screen on my current iPhone (not max) was a little bigger. It isn't clear to me if the phone itself will be any bigger, or if they will just shrink the bezel to basically no bezel. My current iPhone 12 has a small bezel all the way around.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models launching in 2024 will feature around 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display sizes, respectively, according to oft-accurate display industry analyst Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants.

Young informed MacRumors that the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display sizes are rounded up. In response to our news story, Young said he will reveal the actual sizes to two decimal places during his speech at the Display Week conference in Los Angeles on May 23. Young did not indicate if the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will also have larger displays.
The new display sizes would be the largest ever for the iPhone, as the device continues to get bigger. By comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are equipped with 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively, and these sizes are not expected to change with the iPhone 15 Pro models launching later this year.
Young has a good track record with display-related information about future Apple products. In the past, he accurately revealed that ProMotion was coming to the iPhone 13 Pro and the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, that the sixth-generation iPad mini would be equipped with a larger 8.3-inch display, and many other details.

I will get the iPhone 16 Pro (not max). I was going to wait for it anyway to eliminate lightning cables from my life. I also like the idea of a new phone every four to five years so waiting until next Christmas to replace my iPhone 12 Pro fits that time scale.Hello my future phone.
The chagrin of many users? LOL... It's a very tiny minority of people who still want smaller phones. Unfortunately you are in the very small minority otherwise Apple wouldn't be going in this direction.Apple keeps making these bigger and bigger to the chagrin of many users like myself
I really wish that Apple would offer a smaller pro version iPhone - like the XS or 11 Pro form factor
The 14 Pro is bigger than the 13 Pro which was bigger than the 12 Pro which was bigger than the 11 Pro
If Apple is going to continue this trend, at least give users the option of the smaller, current size as well
It's a very small number of people. Only people that want to come to sites like Macrumors and complain about it want it. The average person wants a bigger phone. Otherwise Apple would still sell smaller phones. They follow the money. So many people want an iPhone Mini back. I’m not sure why Apple won’t release it.

Well, we have some timeKuo should have a report out next week that he will likely adjust 16 times up to the launch
What exactly is the difference between a mini lineup and a mini-size lineup?..Really hoping Apple can bring back the mini lineup or at least a mini-size lineup. I know bigger phone is gonna be popular but there are still quite a lot people who prefer a small size iPhone.
