If you can't then you're more likely to have joy with the resellers as they don't care whether you take a contract or not.

Try calling Cami and Macline in advance, worth a go - they all speak English.

You could try Mobstar in Charleroi - it's a much poorer city than Brussels so maybe a chance of stock...

Otherwise from gare du Midi you can take the Metro to Louise then the tram down Chausee de Charleroi to Cami. Or stay on the Metro to Arts Loi (Kunst Wet in Dutch, yes I know, don't laugh - there's also a Wet Tunnel) then go to Rodebeek and/or Stockel.

But call them today and perhaps save yourself dissappointment. On the other hand Brussels is really a nice little city to spend the day

BTW, you can buy a day-card for that gives you unlimited travel on all busses, metros and train in the city limits.

According to Apple the 16 GB White iPhone is sold out in 57% of all stores in the US. Perhaps it's sold out in Apple Italy and they're waiting for a new shipment.

I ordered a 32gb black, on ITA shipped to UK. it worked quicker on Friday.

i can send this to a valid ITA address but i'm waiting for a response from someone who can hold on to the item until DHL can pick it up.

I am also waiting on confirmation on the 32gb black iphone too.

This may sound a bit rude but as I am also based in the UK would you be willing to let me use your Italian address to ship mine too as well and then we could go halves on the shipping for them both back to the UK? (assuming it is yourself paying for the shipping) and I will pay the difference of course to ship it to MK or Northampton where I am based.

Interestingly, I note that Mobistar's website is now advertising 0% finance on an iPhone, which wasn't there last week when the device launched (might have been available in the shop, mind) and this is a better deal than with the previous 3G where they charged about 6% interest. Not sure if you need to sign a 24-month call plan contract with them to get the deal or not (that's not specified) but it sure would be nice to spread the cost. My wife almost had a heart attack when I told her the price...

Though UPS really seems to be pissed because they're routing most iPhones first to Italy and then to the right country which cost them lots of money.

And regarding the postcode, is it confirmed that entering 000000 does NOT work? So do i enter 0000100 and the just put my regular Irish address in and just put in caps 'ireland,europe'

anything else i need to know? Also, do i use my current itunes username/password or do i create a new one for this order?

There's an Apple Store in Rome too...why don't you go there first? The phones are little bit cheaper in there than at TIM...

I think that may be the case as well. I haven't had any update on my order yet. Not shipped...the charge is still pending in my bank account.

I have found this apple store in Rome (http://www.flaminiacomputer.it/). I have tried to contact them, the prices are the same and they didn't replay regarding the possibility of making reservation on a phone (only one). The other store i have found - official reseller in too far from the center (info from apple web site - http://www.apple.com/it/retail/romaest/map/)
i have found vodafone store, there is only one in the center of the city - Via Corso, but it is too risky, they may be running out of stock...this winter i have bought my iphone from Milan from vodafone.....in TIM and apple store in Milan they were out of stock.....in italy iphones are very popular

1) Sold my BGB 2G for €225 a couple of weeks back
2) Bought it with a friend's company so he is giving me the VAT back €125
3) I saved up about €150 in coins and €5 notes
4) I shall sell the brand new Nokia e71 I got from work for free - I reckon for about €175

That all adds up to €675 - so nearly for free

I hasten to add I would have bought it anyway, but stories like these really help keep things smooth...

My plan is to sell my dell mini 9 laptop for £150 and then sell my locked 3GS for £350 and just put £100 towards it for a new shiny 32gb unlocked 3GS

Can you let me know how you get on? I'm from Ireland myself and would like to avoid changing to O2 as much as possible so am very interested to hear if this is possible, in particular for those of us who don't have a post code!
