iPhone 3Gs - Italy and Belgium - unlocked?

handtec staff are very rude today really.

Whenever you mail them, they never reply.

they change the status of the opened ticket to "closed" without any reply or answer. Weird!!

seems they are suffering from iphone pre-orders calling and mailing them to ask about the shipping date.

When I called they where polite and seemed friendly, I guess they are getting a lot of calls about iphones!

It would be better for handtec to do not accept pre-orders untill delivery of big stock.

When you pre-order, you get mad lol cause your money is with someone else for weeks and still you did not recieve your device.

for sure it annoys and they should stop accepting pre-orders untill delivery of the stocks they are waiting for.

Easy way to make a lot of money fast specially when there is a lot of demand specially with the iphone.

They told me 2 weeks originally so I am skeptical that I will get anything this week.
 
personaldigital.com.au seems to be fishy... Tried to make an order with a fake credit card number... by choosing the eway payment method i get some "92 transaction to route error" and another try with their paypal payment option got also an error:

I agree when I saw the site it did not feel right, I put in my works address here in the UK and then it would not let me select any kind of courier.

Something tells me whoever buys from that site is going to lose their money.
 
this means we have no option except waiting for handtec lol we move in circle

The difference in price between the 2 models doesn't look correct either. That's something that scammers often get wrong.

Also, some of their hero banner artwork looks very amateur. e.g. No self-respecting designer would use low-res image files for them. That might simply mean their designers aren't very good...but hey, it's worth noting ;)

In their defence, their eBay feedback IS very good.
 
Hi guys. It seemed i arrived at the end of the discussion. I have to say, i am a bit disappointed with the delay (i feel for you dream) However, as i said before, i expected that.

I looked at this Australian website. The website, looks very suspicious from a UK consumer point of view (no official retailers signs, etc). Also they are based in Australia, and i am not sure what are the differences between the UK and their consumer protection laws. The only thing that support their claim is the perfect e-bay score. So, i definitely won't be the first guy to start the research Dale is proposing :D

For now, i will try to be patient until the end of the 2 weeks they promised to have a stoke (so the 14th of July :eek:) :(

14th :eek: ??????? they promised me to get a stock within 2 days.

hmmmm I am lost lol
 
I will tell you what they told me:

Just before i made my order, they told me (online support and by phone) the iphone will be shipped 2 weeks from now (which was the 30th of June). However, when they called me last Thursday to check my address, they told me the phones will arrive in 2-3 days, and we should receive the iphones next week (this week).

So, if we don't receive the phone by the end of this week, i will be anxious, however i will not panic until the end of the 2 weeks period they originally promised.
 
I don't think i even asked when I would get mine when I placed the preorder lol.. Just noticed they are starting to preorder the pre.. no pun intended!

How anyone can take preorders for a phone that hasn't been officially announced outside of USA (and is still quite fairly hard to get even you live in USA), I have no idea. I say this as someone who actively wholesales phones ;P

No idea I heard its going to be announced tomorrow so we will see, maybe they will offer us pre's instead of iphones lol
 
Play.com are selling The original iphone 2G, unlocked for £200. It is really cheap. If i have a choice, i would put the hardware of 3GS into the 2G. I think the 3G body feels much cheaper than the 2G body :cool:

Do you think it is worth buying? it has the same processor as the 3G (i think), the main difference is the 3G issue. I can use it as a spare for the 3GS 9hopefully when i get it).
 
going back to ordering from Italy...

I ordered on the 30th of June, used my friend's Italian mailing address and phone number, but my polish credit card. Apple requested from me the next day some extra paperwork related to the credit card and the ordered has been processed immediately.

According to the order tracking my new Iphone is on it's way and will be delivered today :)!!! Can't wait!!!

I really wish that we could place our orders with Apple in Belgium - at least then we'd be getting them from the source, would be able to get an idea of inventory levels and lead times, and wouldn't have to deal with bloody Mobistar (either directly or indirectly). The situation at present is an absolute farce that other locations don't appear to be suffering with.
