Some movement I guess. This shows up on the deliveries app now. But for some reason nothing on UPS, or Apple.

Shipping info popped up on UPS courtesy of the MyChoice app. Black 128GB 7+. Contemplating calling UPS and having them hold it at the hub near me. We are heading out Friday afternoon so I'd rather not be waiting for the UPS guy. Will probably be able to pick it up when they open at 10AM if I have them hold it. Anyone have experience with this?

I have already requested mine to be held at my local hub. In years past I go right in when they open and pick up the phone. Much better than waiting around all day

Ours must be together, I have all the exact same scans and times.

I have done this several times and it has always worked. Just contact UPS and choose the HUB closest to you.

But make sure you choose the Hub. If you want a local UPS store, they usually say your product won't be there until Monday for these Friday launches.

any one have order number W58xxxxxx
Mine starts with W57 and mine ships sometime between the end of October and the beginning of December so I don't think those first two numbers have any meaning for us. It's be great of anyone who works deep within Apple could decipher them for us but I think they only have any meaning internally.

Ordered 7 Black 128 3:05 EST. got confirmation 2 minutes later. Has been at Preparing for Shipment since Friday afternoon. Still nothing in support profile or UPS/FEDEX.
Delivery date was 9/16 from the beginning.

my order went from "prepared for shipment" BACK to "processing" yesterday. Has this happened with anyone else? My card has been charged yesterday (7+ verizon 128 black, ordered 6am CST on friday).
I ordered the exact same phone about 10 minutes after 12am PDT. My delivery date is 9/16 but is still processing.

On 9/9, at 7:34am I preordered an iPhone 7 Matte Black 128gb (T-Mobile GSM Unlocked) and will be available to pick up on 9/16. It's still on processing items. I was wondering would I have to wait until Friday to see any movement in my status or will it tell me if it's preparing to ship to the local Apple Store? I know a lot of them are coming from China, so also, would I be able to track it soon? I've tried to track it on UPS and FedEx but no tracking info.

I usually have them hold it at the hub, but they open up at 8am here. The only thing they really give you a hard time with is ID, it needs to match the name and address on the package exactly! It can't just be the name and it can't just be the address.

Your phone is probably already in the states. I had this happen to me every year except for this one. I was always one of the last ones to see a status change and literally received the tracking number the night before. Don't worry it will get to you by friday.

It's just so hard to believe that by 15 minutes into the preorders all the plus 256 matte black were gone. And then the people whose status changed. Mine never changed from the time of checkout. Only one email directly after and nothing since then..and opening the store app shows same status.

Two of my phones (7, black 32GB and 128GB) are preparing for shipment, one (7 black 128GB) is still processing...

I just checked UPS with my Apple order number -the last 2 digits and I get my tracking... my iPhone has shipped even though it shows online as preparing for shipment.

So I was completely screwed ordering a 256 Plus Jet black. I added to cart initially shortly after 3am ET and it was due to ship in 1-2 weeks. After the site crashing and further attempts it slipped to 2-3 weeks. Then 4-6 weeks. 45 minutes later I finally placed my order which is scheduled to ship in November. Not happy.

Going to try to schedule an in store pick up on 9/17 but I'm beyond frustrated with the Apple ordering process for this launch.

I believe the first digits in the order number are related to which server is handling the order. Apple must have a bunch of systems processing the online orders and it would make sense to just use a prefix for each one of those since it would be a lot easier and simpler than having all those servers use one single pool of order numbers.

I have done this several years and it is frustrating, but it is caused by the overwhelming traffic of other would be buyers like us, trying to place their orders. I too missed the 9/16 date this year. In the past when I have missed it, I have had success with checking the local store's inventory on release date and the days after. I would try going to the store, the morning of the release and then a few mornings there after. Typically, after the release day, they post the local inventory online each day and you can buy one for pick up in store. Good luck.

This is exactly what I want to know. I got my confirmation e-mail about 35 minutes after preorders started. I chose to pick up in store, but mine still says Processing Items. I see that a status exists for Shipping to Store. I wonder if we will see it go to this status soon or if it will just go straight to Ready for Pickup on Friday.

I don't know I have 2 iPhones on order one is W54 delivers 9/16 and the other W41 delivers 23rd.

My order is still processing... I ordered at 12:05 a.m. PDT..

Device: iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Black
Delivery date: Sep 20-22

When will the order status be updated?

:(

Actually my card was just charged so I believe it will change to preparing for shipment today

I live in a smaller city with just two AT&T carrier stores on each side of town- I have a good feeling I'll be able to snatch a 128gb black 7+ on launch day as opposed to waiting on my 10/4 pre-order date. Anyone else?

No guarantees of course, but provided you have a handful of local retailers (Apple Store, carrier store, Best Buy, etc) I would be shocked if you couldn't find what you want before October.

Jet Black pluses are another story, but every other color/configuration should be attainable given two weeks to search.
