Yes it's true. My original dates were 10/18-10/31. But I ordered 7 minutes after they opened up so I don't even see how I got those days.

I too had a 9/23 updated delivery time which I got yesterday then updated to what you see today. They better be doing Saturday deliveries!I too see the dreaded "reschedule delivery" message on the UPS tracking site. Originally it said 9/23. Apple's order site says 9/27 still.
UPS99 won't show that it departed until its about an hour out of PANC back into the flight aware coverage area. The flight drops off their website because it assumes it cancelled because it doesn't know if it took of or not.
Honestly guys, Id recommend checking online if the apple stores near you have one. I picked up a matte black 128gb verizon (Unlocked) and am using it on T Mobile. While my shipping dates weren't for another couple weeks.
Out for delivery! Wish we could track the actual truck like we do the flights!

Same here, the pre-order was actually open at 12:10am pacific time (I'm in California) I ordered as soon as it opened. My confirmation email was at 12:24 am so I ordered within 14 minutes! Congrats!!! Hope I will be getting a tracking # soon. Are you in California?
I'm still waiting no movement on my phone yet, but Lvi11Mew sent me the actual tracking & he/she ordered the exact same thing as me 7+ jet black 128gb on At&T shipping date of October 18-31. I now have hope!
I was tracking a friends for him as he was on vacation, but his also showed 7:34 arrival in Incheon, but then shows a 7:35pm departure from ZhengZhou again. All of this just not making sense.
If that flight is not in the air, then the finger pointing has begun.....
UPS rep stated they are aware of the issue and that the holdup is due to customs clearance. I find that funny since these phones are shipping via UPS's World Ease which according to their website this service is supposed to "simplify customs clearance" on these bulk shipments. She stated that they are working with Apple to expedite and that Apple may know more about the situation but just to continue to monitor.

I am also one of the stuck ones (8:01s). I had the same thing happen to my Watch on Monday Night. It did not leave until Tuesday night and was still delivered yesterday only a day late. I am hoping the same thing is going to happen with this.
Someone mentioned earlier that they called UPS and asked about the back and forth scans and UPS told them that they were errors which I believe.

I actually did this yesterday. I pre-ordered two iPhone 7+'s 128GB JB Sept. 9th. Got confirmation at 3:11AM EST and my order still shows as "processing" with a delivery window of Oct4th-Oct10th. So i reserved a black 128GB Sprint iPhone 7+ with Apple, picked it up and told the employee that i was going to pay for the phone full-price and not to the Iup program and he checked me out with no issue at all. So yes, you can pay for it outright. And both Verizon/Sprint models work on GSM and CDMA networks. AT&T and T-Mobile models only work on GSM networks.
No im in Pennsylvania. It started over here at 3:10AM I finished ordering 3:15. Email came in at 3:17.

Maybe they need to get this off the ground faster and need our stock of phones.
Or maybe all the Note 7s for recalls are getting pushed ahead of our shipments out of Korea and using all the space on the planes and took priority because of goverment recalls and all.

The scary thing is that a week later Apple is still filling orders made in the first few hours!
Did anyone pay extra for 2-3 business day shipping? I did, and my 7+ shipped on 9/19, so today or maybe tomorrow is the third business day. I want my $ back if my phone doesn't come tomorrow.
