UPS is the worst man, get me out of this 8:01pm hell
I got an arrival scan in Korea after my phone arrived in Anchorage. UPS told me my phone was never in Korea but then I got the mechanical failure message. I'm just frustrated because they are giving false information. How do they not know where the packages are? I am like 99% positive that people were posting on this forum with mechanical failures messages 2 days ago.
If you check the order page for your phone on the apple website you'll see they changed it to free shipping. Estimated tax dropped about $10 as well.
I do see that UPS 99 is still scheduled from ANC-KSF leaving at 3:08 PM today . . . I don't know if that means anything or just that they'll cancel it once the landing time for the INC-ANC leg passes. I've never seen a case where Google says a flight is en route and all the flight tracking websites say "huh?", but I've also never tracked a cargo flight before. Im wondering if Google just defaults to the published time table and only makes adjustments if information becomes available that changes that time table.
That would be great except my nearest Apple store is 300 miles away. Stuck waiting on my order and not even shipped yet. Still processing and I ordered 9/9 at 6:30 AM CDT. iPhone 7+ MB 128 GB AT&T.
Called UPS and they're next to useless. Their system says mine is supposed to arrive today and says "that's the latest info" when I say Agent. I got to someone and they can't do anything until it hits Louisville they say and can't change the date until a delivery attempt is made. Of course I can pay to do it through MyUPS and they won't waive the fee even though it's their doing. She said they told Apple they might not make the dates because it's so many phones and it's all just estimates.
I'm going to be upset when UPS tries to deliver and I don't know that it was even out for delivery.
I think the next UPS flight out of Korea, whenever that is going to be, will be the one carrying the phones. So I don't see it coming before Monday. UPS 99 was scheduled to leave and just disappeared like fart in the wind after it was taken off the list.

I wonder if Apple pushed the launch up a week and did not inform UPS and that is causing all the shipping trouble.I just spoke with UPS via live chat, here's the transcript:

This gives me hope that if my phone gets to AK tomorrow by at least 3PM I should be able to get it by Saturday if they are indeed doing Saturday deliveries.I finally got my phone look at this pitiful tracking! It looks like it went around the world twice unless it was a glitch. I stopped it from being delivered and went and picked it up this morning. Its beautiful
