There is more to the 801ers than meets the eye. It's not adding up. Been there for two days and today the flight just vanished.

Frankly I don't think we are in Korea at all. (Yes I'm a 801er)
Your post reminds me of the series "Lost". Are we in purgatory? Are we dead? Something else? :p

And didn't "the numbers" in Lost add up to 108? See ya on the other side . . . . .

Uh...you're making two assumptions: a departure scan and that the phones are still in Korea. Given the wacky updates people have been seeing from UPS, and the updates from UPS that several people's phones "weren't even in Korea" despite showing that on the tracking info maybe being so sure of something without proof isn't going to help anyone :)

Maybe. But inner peace/happiness >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> a phone!

Welp, got an official email from UPS warning of the Machine Delay and that they have no idea when...

So just talked to UPS. They have a special department to handle the iPhone shipments that they transferred me to. Well they were no help. The girl basically said it is beyond their control because it is not in the USA yet. She blamed it on Apple and said they had to handle it because they are the ones that setup the shipping outside of the USA. I ask if they were going to deliver on Saturday due to the delay and she said no because the shipper did not pay for Saturday delivery. I did find out if it does get to my distributor I can have them hold it and pick it up Saturday when they are open. I am not sure what to think now.

I was transferred also to their special Apple dept too. And they basically told me the same, blaming Apple.

Mine's "supposedly" in Louisville as of last night but hasn't moved since. I'm on my 3rd "scheduled" delivery day and no phone.

Even if your phone moved into "shipped" it is still going to have a long wait behind the pallets of phones that they cannot seem to move. You'll be even more upset when it sits in China for a week after you get the email from Apple.

Yeah I'm sure you're right. But I need some sort of satisfaction somewhere on this process. It's been a rough ride so far

I'm on the sat in ZhengZhao for like 2-3 days and departed last night, headed to Korea, but have been since switched to the Machine Issue where they don't know wtf...
Oh wait, yes, The mechanical delay was Incheon @ 4:25am

I got the same basic line from the iPhone Dept when I called UPS also. They seemed a bit more testy than usual. I have to wonder if Apple gave them a bit of a beat down on price this year and they said they could do it for that but it withnas good a service as full price and we are seeing the effect. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to call Apple and express frustration if that's the case.

Well that was easy. Reserved a 256GB Black at NY 5th Ave store. Walked in and walked out in 25 minutes. Good luck all.

I'm on the AT&T next program. The day Apple marked my phone as shipped (19th) it started my 14 day window to return my existing phone before they charge me for it. Looks like i'll get to pay another installment payment for my 6s while I wait for my 7 Plus. Apple said nothing they can do about it.

So frustrating that I preordered on launch day and my order is still processing...yet a family member of mine walked into apple at the exact right time and was given the exact spec phone I ordered...
How can they do that before all of their preorders are fulfilled?
So I have to wait for who knows how much longer to get my preordered 128gb black 7+
But someone with the random idea to stop in gets one that could have fulfilled my, or for that matter, anyone else's preorder who orders that exact phone.
It boggles me. It truly does. I wish I could complain to Apple but they won't do anything for me. Have never been comped by Apple for much of anything.

Sigh. Come on. My wife's rose gold 7+ is being delivered today...

If you are tired of waiting and haven't ordered with any special financing (Barclays)use the istocknow map and try to find the phone you want. Of course Jet Blacks will be near impossible but found every color and every configuration. Might save you some weeks of waiting.

So, called UPS again, and the automated tracking still insists my 7+ 128GB Black AT&T will be delivered today, and 5 minutes later the UPS truck drives right by without stopping.

And, to add more salt to this wound, Apple.com lists my device as available for local Apple store pickup tomorrow. I will not preorder ever again.

Isnt it painful? I know that I can walk 15 minutes from my job right now and get the phone that Ive been agonizing over. But its too late. I have AT&T Next and my phone thats in limbo is already in the system so Im no longer eligible for an upgrade. So If I were to go to an Apple store now and try to get a phone, I'd have to pay $800+.

It appears that Flight 99 never took off yesterday (Korea time). There are 2 inbound flights from Alaska and 2 planned outbound flights. Keep in mind that the times are local to the source. The outbound flights are scheduled to leave in about 14 hours.

801 lost patrol:

Take this with a big grain of salt but I spoke to the UPS special Apple secret squirrel desk again and they "guaranteed" me that my phone would arrive tomorrow (East coast). They said there is a status delay update and the phone is not in Korea despite the tracking. MY BS detector is honking wildly but I thought I would pass on the report.

I'm in the 801, and here I am trying to figure out how to reserve my phone for pickup tomorrow, but I had enrolled in the Apple upgrade program... decisions decisions.
