They did in the UK, when people had orders due on launch day but they didn't have time on their routes.

I am in the 801 crew, and mine just updated status as well to severe weather conditions have delayed delivery. I am pretty sure the weather stuff is BS - Coincidentally, right before this status change I was just online chatting to their international customer support and they said this:

I sincerely apologize for the delay in the delivery of your package. I can tell you that we have a contractual agreement with some shippers, which limits the amount of packages that can be handed over to UPS on any given day, when this amount is exceeded, as in this case, the packages may experience delays. We need first to complete those packages that were given to us in previous days before we can export those that were recently shipped. My best advise is to keep on tracking the package on ups.com for further updates.

The 'severe weather' pushed me over the edge. I just jumped on an in-store pickup for the 7+ 128GB Black AT&T, and I'll return the one that comes from Incheon, whenever it arrives.

I'm apart of the 801 squad and mine just updated stating the severe weather delay. How is it that NOBODY knew this!? My phone was supposed to be here yesterday. What's the point of preordering your phone if this type of Tom Foolery takes place? Apple and UPS need to do better. This is unacceptable.

Exactly. It's understandable when a typhoon delays flights, I understand that. But numerous people have posted about contacting Apple and UPS and they all just got the runaround. Why didn't they just say that the typhoon grounded a bunch of flights and they are behind?

Who the hell knows what's actually going on, but for certain it's not a weather delay. Today's forecast is 77 and partly sunny. Yesterday's actual conditions were sunny and 75.

I called Apple this morning and they called UPS for me. They were told it was on the way to Louisville and the scanning was not accurate. They stated it will be delivered tomorrow.

I'm part of the 801 crew. This is a crock and I don't trust any info from Apple or UPS. The phone sat in China for a long time, then it sits in Incheon for days.

I think the pallets of phones got sent to N. Korea and they hijacked all of us.

Here's a question, who contracts the shipping from the factory to Louisville? Is it third party or is it actually UPS personel and equipment(i.e. planes)

Either way, I'm not expecting a phone till late next week!

That's funny you mentioned high jacking. My BF said that earlier. He mentioned there's some sort of war brewing bw North Korea and China if I'm remembering correctly. He said they prolly took them from the airport.

I feel that way every time I preorder an iPhone. Why am I waiting weeks for something I preordered when others walk in a store and get one? I guess to Apple a sale is a sale, but IMO all in-stock phones should be allocated for pre-orders and walk-ins should have to sign up to wait for one.

I'm also part of the 801 crew but a scan did mention it left Incheon (22/9 at 1pm) and now it just arrived in Germany. I live in Belgium so I will probably get it tomorrow.

Just to show that some flights of the 801 group did leave Korea today (at least to Europe) and that the bad weather conditions is just a lie.

Your time/status would indicate a different flight and therefore two separate flights with mechanical issues

I got the mechanical issue update. I'm still part of the Sept 27th crew. I was in PFS for 6 days then I China for 2 days now this. I'm now out of the country for 2 weeks so I won't be home for delivery........actually by the time ups and apple get their $h*# together and deliver my phone I'll probably be back already!

UPS Worldwide Express Saver does not do Saturday deliveries!! If we, the 8:01 club with also the mechanical failure club, do not receive our phones on Friday, then next week it is unfortunately.

I am 801er but I am weather delayed. Weather and mechanical issues hit at uPS at the same time.

My wife and my contract through Att is the next every year plan. I preordered our phones and bough jets is here today mine is going nowhere fast. Sitting in processing limbo for 13 and a half days now. No change. Even if I found one to pick up in store, can I? Or does the next program lock me into he phone I have on order? Ordered 2am launch day 9/9.
So frustrating. At this pint I'd be happy with a PFS! Lol. Feel like Apple should comp me a case like they did others but I don't see that happening.

I think it depends on how far you are in the order. Go to the apple website and try to place the reservation. It told me I wasnt eligible for an upgrade, then gave me options to pay full price for the phone. Then I was chatting with AT&T the other day and the agent congratulated me on the new phone, even though I ordered it through Apple.com. He says its in the system for me and its listed as "pending", I guess because I haven't activated it yet.
