they must be overloaded... for iphone 6 plus the same thing happened to me, but I got through around 9 am EST... so either there is more demand or their site maintenance sucks
Had no issue either. Reopened the app a few times into the window, ordered my phone, entered card pin and password and that was it.The app worked so smoothly for me this year. I acutally woke up, ordered from bed, went right back to sleep. It cant get much easier than that
Went online, at 2:45 est. refreshed here and there. time came 3:01am. I had AT&T site open and apple.com open. I was through for AT&T and saw shipping dates of 23rd to 29th (Something like that), I slowly entered my selections on the AT&T site in case apple.com never worked for me. I ended up waiting an extra 10 mins to order through apple.com and refreshing constantly until I was let it. I ordered through apple (matte black 128g plus), and of course is oct 4th-10th. Two years ago, AT&T was last to receive their orders compared to a lot of pre-orders, and that's not to say everyone had that experience, but a lot of people here did. I waited longer to order through apple.com to hopefully get my phone sooner. Happy shipping tracking everyone!
Same problems here. Got a reservation number at 3:10 AM EST last night. Got an email that they were ready for me to confirm at 6:02 AM. Almost 4 hours later, still getting the dreaded "Page Not Found" error when I try to checkout...
First iPhone pre-order ever for me where things didn't go perfectly smoothly.
Guys forget the jet black. There's going to be 1,001 threads relating to smudges and scratches. Do yourself a favor.
Unless you were really set on the jet black, this decision could be the best one you've made. I've read the jet color is really dirty looking and scratches horrible easy, plus you get the phone in your hands quicker. Win win
I apologize if this has already been asked, and I am confident it has, but what are the chances that a phone that "ships in 2-3 weeks" ships earlier? It is a 7+ 128GB ATT. When I tried to preorder it at launch, ATT was going through scheduled maintenance and it wouldn't let me through. I was/am livid!
Oh for sure, I know they're overloaded but damn what else were they expecting? A company as big as Apple should have been ready for the sh!@t storm.
Just ordered a Gold T-Mobile 128GB 7 for my daughter. I'm paying full price upfront. Six hours 45 minutes after preorders opened. 2 - 3 weeks delivery if shipped, or pick up on launch day at my local Apple Store. So pick up it is.
I just ordered a 7+ 128GB. Part of me really wanted to get 256GB for just $100 more.
I still am using my iP6 128GB and haven't updated past 8.3.
This is the first time I've ever bought a launch date iPhone, I usually wait for JB but I realized I don't really use any JB functions anymore except speeding up animations.
I just hope the 7+ won't be too big. The reason I chose it over the 7 was the extra ram and battery life.
If the 7+ doesn't benchmark better than the 7 with that extra ram (if its dedicated to the camera app or some such) I might step down to the 7.
I was able to trade in my iP6 for $650 at Verizon, the decision made itself.

Ordered the T-Mobile iPhone 7 256GB in matte black at 3:10AM, for delivery on 9/16.

However, I was expecting to recieve the 16th since I'm moving before Oct 1st. It won't let me change shipping address, because of att, even though I bought outright and have no contract. Horse Piss!

I actually ordered it through Apple's website like I have every phone since the 3GS but they wouldn't allow me to because I still had one installment on my next plan left. I even talked to a representative about it yesterday afternoon and he assured me I could do it when I was checking out the pre-order. Malarkey
