When it says expected SHIP date, does this mean it will be delivered, or they will actually go and send it out?

I tried to order on my iPhone 6 Plus, but the apple store app kept timing out and I wasn't able to pay using apple pay... so I ended up ordering on apple.com but by that point 20 minutes had gone back.. Getting a shipping estimate of Oct 4-10 now for a Jet Black 128 iPhone 7.

I found the IUP (upgrading, not first time) process to be a little lengthy (in terms of pre ordering where speed is key)... I needed to order 2 phones and it would only let me make a store reservation one at a time. I was unprepared not thinking I would need the serial # and imei just to make a reservation (thought that was just to check eligibility, but they made me recheck eligibility in order to reserve). I didn't stand a chance landing a black 128gb plus for my 2nd reservation.

Also, one of the stores near me was grayed out from the start. The store is available as an option this morning, however most of the models are now sold out. Not sure what happened there.

They clearly failed with initial demand for black pluses. and with upgrading IUP you can't even just order it and wait for it to ship since you have to do it in store. So I guess you have to check store availability every day until you happen to find one? not a great system IMO.

I really hope my card doesn't the decline the payment, I've never made a huge purchase like this one.

I'm paying $922 for T-mobile 128gb 7+.

Finally got through to pre-order my Matte Black 7+ 128gb... estimated shipping window says Oct. 4-10th. Hopefully it'll come a little sooner than that!

Otherwise I will try and find it in stores sooner and just cancel my pre-order! :)

I spend a lot of time on airplanes, watching movies on my iPhone. So yes, it's common for me to charge and use the headphone jack simultaneously. So far the best solution I've found is to use an Apple Lightning dock, which comes with a charging port and headphone jack.

If it declines, they give you the option to update the payment method. My Wells Fargo declined last year and I just spoke to apple and added another card right then and it worked. You might want to give your bank a heads up if you think it may possibly be declined.

Well I got the dreaded delivers by Sept 27-29 for the black 256g ATT 7+. I ordered as fast as I could as soon as the sight went up. First year ever since the iPhone 4 I won't have one on launch day. But at least it is processing now
I was half asleep or I would have bought the faster shipping. Probably can't change that now.

It took like an hour before I got connected, but the CSR changed the shipping address on my order, still showing 9/16 delivery. As mentioned a little above, I am on AT&T Family Plan and my phone was shipping to my parents house a few hours away. Figured I'd do a chat, worth a shot, and got the address changed within about 5 minutes, once I got connected to an agent. The change was reflected on my order status before the chat was even over. I also just got an update through Apple Pay that the tax on my order was updated (Northern VA has a higher sales tax than back home).

Ordered a 7plus Black 256GB, 307am est. My order says processing, I used Apples App to order always seems to work the smoothest, and used Appple Pay but when I go on transaction history on Apple Wallet there is nothing there?

Delivery the 16, also the payment on apple's website is the device ID

Edit: forgot delivery date

I was told that they couldn't change the shipping address. I'm in the same situation as you. I'm trying chat now that it's working again.

Somewhat mentionable: I upgraded to AT&T Next Every Year thru the Apple Store. Since I can't get through to Apple, I went on AT&T's website and noticed that my line's upgrade eligibility has gone from "You are eligible for a Next upgrade" to "Upgrade for this line is already in progress".

EDIT: *sigh* nevermind. It said that because I accidentally had a 7+ in my "cart" when I was seeing how long the preorder wait was.

What is the reality of these non-release day delivery estimates getting bumped up to release day? I woke up too late (by accident) and got pushed back to "2-3 weeks"
