Flightaware shows TEN UPS MD-11 and 747 jets from China going to Louisville (through Alaska). ;)

There's always phones that come from China and some stored in wherehouses in Louisville, Kentucky ready to be shipped to us, or am I wrong here ? I just want my got damn phone on the 16th is that too much to ask Apple !? Lol

Lot 23E. Somewhere in Georgia.
What I'm hoping is since some of us have delivery dates 9/26-10/4 , that they might move up next week. Maybe, there's a chance that our phones are in Kentucky somewhere ready to be dispatch, the first wave of pre orders. That's just wishful thinking:)

My theory is many of the people that have 9/16 dates have phones that are already state-side. The rest of the 9/16 crowd have phones that either shipped yesterday or are shipping today.

I think everything depends on how fast those 9/16 overseas phones start moving. The faster they move, the sooner the rest of us can see movement.

I like how most people begging for expedited shipping really have no reason except they just want it. These threads are so depressing. haha.

This!

This is the first time I've preordered and, up to this point, it says it will be here on the 16th which is fantastic. Even though it's supposed to be here on time, I still read these threads and get anxiety for the other people because I went through the same thing a few times. It wasn't fun even though it's just a phone.

Partially. I'd bet all of the 16th phones are already here. That's the ones they could guarantee to deliver the 16th as already being in the US.

Anyone who got something after are coming from China and those are the dates that could slide up as phones get sent over from China and hit Alaska to come to Louisville. More than likely fro past years the week after phones will slide up and some will get delivered launch day, some that Monday the 19th.

Some of us seem to have gotten screwed on the delivery date for no legitimate reason.

Unless you were promised a 16th date when hitting the purchase button you didn't "get screwed." You got exactly what it said you were buying.

Mine said 9/23 to 9/30 upon checking out and I knowingly hit the purchase button, as did every one of you. It said a date that wasn't the 16th. Hopefully it comes Friday still, if not then it's just a phone. Whining and claiming screwed and unfair wont make it come faster; life is inherently unfair.

That's just it. I should have gotten the 16th when I checked out since I stayed up till 3am and connected to the store after 10 minutes wasted trying to get into the store. That's how I got screwed.

LOL I stayed up too as did many people posting here. And couldn't get ATT to verify the upgrade until 4:25am due to their site issues; almost an hour an a half middle of the morning to get a 9/23 to 9/30 date 128gb black Plus. And Im not complaining. Tis life.

MANY will still show up the 16th still as it seems a huge buffer time was given this year; especially the black/jet black Plus phones.

That doesn't make it right. Therefore one is entitled to feel wronged. I felt screwed the moment I checked out. Naturally I accepted. It could only have gotten worse if I waited longer and tried again.

You were to slow in typing and setting up your order, I got in at the same time you did, had previous setup
My selection as a favorite, the only steps I had to do was check out. During preorder it's a war out there
You have to prepared...hey **** happens.

I know it's like a war or those stampedes to the stores on Black Friday.

I hope you're right, but I don't know. Some 9/16 folks are getting notice that their phones are preparing to ship and some aren't. That leads me to believe that some 9/16 shipments are originating in places other than Louisville/Memphis.

Also, if all the 9/16 shipments are here already, shouldn't the next "tier" start seeing shipping notices directly from China by now?

Well obviously there are too many models/storage combinations to have them all here. There still is 5 days until launch and planes are flying them over daily building the stock here. And more will fly over every day until the 16th.

That's why I think some 23rd to 30th people MAY see them early, if they get them over fast enough to cover all of the 16th promised ones, then they start delivering the next batch.

Careful it's safe space here. Cant tell anyone they are wrong when they knowingly purchased an item with a perfectly visible date range and now aren't happy with it.

Anyone with a 16th date that slips (or any date slip past when you ordered), if that happens, they are the only ones who have a right to feel screwed.

They must not have properly anticipated the demand if they ran out so quickly.

Your iPhone was already "reserved" before that. Preparing for shipping means that the "reserved" iPhone is ready to be assigned to your order and shipped. It means that the process to do it started.
Thank you!

Not true.. Mine said the 16th. When I got the now processing e-mail the date had changed to the 27-29th.

Now YOU have a legitimate gripe. Not 99.9% others who hit the button knowing the date and its still that date.

But to be fair, it still may show up so can't really say anything until Thursday and no tracking.
