I believe it should be the same. If you can't pull it up using the Track by Reference, it probably hasn't shipped yet.

You're right, but I'm fairly sure the months remain the same (24) so you do end up paying $0 per month.
The app is iffy. I have to sign out and sign back in for the order to show up each time.
Yes, it works no matter where you ordered from because it will be shipped by UPS. If it doesn't find a package for you, then it hasn't been shipped yet (or a label hasn't been created yet).
You can also try to use your T-Mobile account number as the reference number.
This guy didn't answer my question about where he ordered from. From my experience... Apple.com orders will let you track by reference with your phone number... but I don't think T-Mobile orders let you do that.
Mine hasn't shipped either. I figure it will be a while.

The last couple of iPhone pre-orders with T-Mobile, I've been able to track by reference using my phone number.
Right now... I went to UPS, Track by Reference, I changed the date range to the last year... searched my number... and nothing came up... not even the Galaxy S7 I ordered a few months ago, not the iPhone 6S I ordered last year around this time.... nothing.
Interesting...the 6S Plus I ordered last year showed up....
Nothing for the 7 of course...I was hoping my card would be charged today but it's looking more and more like I'll really be in that 9/19 range
Same thing for me, nothing popped up when entering phone number. Ran a query from 8/15/15 of last year to 11/30/16 this year. Only thing showing up in MyChoice is an Amazon package.
Anyone see any plus models ship out with tracking or CC get charged?

Nothing so far, i checked through the other threads as well from carriers and they are all in the same boat like us. Only ones that have gotten shipping notifications on pluses are the ones who ordered from apple directly.
Go to UPS.com. On the blue tabs towards the top of the page, there is an option that shows "tracking". Click on that, and it will bring a new page, to the left of the page it will show some options such as "track by number". The option below that is "track by reference". Click on that, fill in the fields, and under where it says "Shipment Reference:" put in your t mobile phone number
(no dashes) and click track. If it doesn't find it, a label has not been created yet for your package. Don't know if it's 100% accurate but it's worked in the past for me.
Lol you guys need to chill. Your cards won't charge, nor will the T-Mobile system show any progress till they are ready to ship (last year I got charged about 36 hours before receiving my phone).
Once you're charged, the phone will prepare for shipment and be shipped within hours.

Anyone get the iPhone 7 32GB through JOD and not get charged a single cent? Thought it was weird I didn't even get charged the usual sales tax off the retail price. My "charged" email says I got charged a whopping $0.00. Not complaining, just curious.
JoD is no upfront costs. The tax is seen in your monthly bill, so instead of $27/mo you might pay $29/mo.
I talked to T-Mobile and if you used JOD and stayed at 32 gb you didn't get charged taxes
You don't pay sales tax upfront like an EIP for JOD. So no charge until your next bill, at which point it will tax your payment.
