Why so much? Are you JOD? She quoted me $163 total ($149 + tax).
For those on JUMP! on Demand, I'm not sure it's worth switching over to the 24-month EIP. T-Mobile knows the customer has the upper-hand on the lease programs, so that's why they're 'offering' the Trade Up program, but that requires customers to pay off their device and lower the monthly EIP payment.
I have a 128GB Rose Gold 6s Plus that has $200 left on it, and their trade-in value is $285. If I moved off of JoD and went EIP, I would've lowered my monthly payments to $14.79, but that requires the $200 payoff and $149 cost for the 128GB 7 Plus, making the down payment $360 including tax.
I decided to just hand it in and stay on JoD and continue to pay $149+tax down and $30 per month.
I was on T-Mobile chat before the 3AM ET start, and he gave me a special number (800-672-5390) to dial. Not sure if there was a queue on 611 (I called that from my iPhone and it still had hold music). It started up as an 'order status' line, but I pressed 1 and got a rep from the Philippines immediately and she placed my JoD upgrade within minutes.
