Finally got 2 JoD orders through an hour ago. Of course my wife's rose gold 7 is expected to ship on time and my black 7+ is pushed back to 9/27-10/10. Wouldn't be surprised if it ships on time though--seems like the past 2 iPhone releases had folks with pushed back dates getting them on release day.

Kinda pissed as like many, I was trying to place an order right away at 12 AM PST. Best believe I'll be getting some sort of bill credit because of the usual shenanigans from TMO.
 
You'll probably get your phone but will have to phones to pay for. I did something similar because JOD wasn't working over the phone and didn't want my phone shipping too late. I did it because I just got my latest phone after the Note 7 recall so I can still return mine by the 16th and wont be stuck paying two phone.

Then that's no big deal. I will just turn in my old phone when I get the new one.

With how iPhones are handled on T-Mobile I don't see myself staying much longer as this is ridiculous.
 
Just got off the phone with Tmobile.
There's a catch to this and I was afraid there would be one.
In order to get this deal besides having to trade in a paid off iphone 6 or 6S you also have to change your tmobile plan to their new Tmobile one plan.
And I really like my simple choice family plan.
Not a big fan of the new One Plan and all their restrictions. Hotspot at 512kbps and non-HD video streaming and other bs that comes with this plan.

You DO NOT have to change your plan.
 
So frustrated...called last night at 12:02 and got through no waiting. Rep tried to get my order in but her systems were freezing. Said she would call me right back. Surprisingly she called right back and got all my info and $$ info and tried to put in my order but systems still freezing. She assured me my order would get in. She would send EIP with order confirmation. Nothing so far.....
 
I called at 301 am and was placed on hold because of a system outage, then told i would receive a call back and no one called me back. I called again around 4 am and placed my order, but was then told the system froze when trying to process the JOD orders. The rep said that my order was entered into the system and that a timestamp was placed on my original call at 305 am to document when my order was placed. She then told me i would have to go to the T-Mobile store to complete the order. I guess I'll have to see how everything plays out. Ordered 2 iPhone 7 +'s one in rose gold and one in black. Also guaranteed me my order would ship on September 15 with overnight shipping arriving on the 16th.

Call them back! I was in a similar situation and my original orders disappeared.
 
I called at 12(PST) exactly and a rep answered within 30 seconds, told me i was the first one in her line. Ordered a iPhone 7 plus black 128gb and a iPhone 7 plus rose gold 128gb, it took a total of 15 minutes, everything went smoothly. I got my EIP agreement about 5 minutes later and signed them, got confirmation saying i signed them and about 30 min later i got order confirmation on both. Shipping does say 09/19-09/26. She did tell me the shipping system will be all messed up until close to release date when they start shipping out. I'm pretty confident I'm looking at release date delivery hopefully. The time ordered on my order confirmation shows 12:06 am.
 
I called T-Mobile at exactly 3 AM EST when pre-orders began and didn't have to wait on hold at all, phone was ordered nice and smoothly. 7 Plus, Black, 128GB. However, my estimated shipping date is 09/19-09/26. Wtf? I had to have been one of the first people to order! Lol

I did similar, did the jump option online at about 11:58 before everything went haywire. Original estimate is the same as yours. Have the paperwork all ready to send my old handset back, so at least the jump process worked correctly.

All hell broke loose just after midnight though! Website slow or errored out until about 1am.

Glad I checked early though.
 
Did we ever get a confirmation on if you need to switch plans to take advantage of the iPhone trade in for iPhone 7? On simple Choice now, with unlimited, and pay 70/month.

From what I read on the T Mobile twitter you do not need to switch over plans. I believe even John Legere confirmed this on his twitter.
 
This was two years ago, probably iPhone 5s? Whatever it was the trade in vAlue wasn't greater than owed balance, which is what the original jump covers

Ah gotcha. They messed up my order, did a regular eip instead of the jod. Debating if I want to call them back or just try and sell the phone I had on jod. It was a 6s plus 64gb and owe less than 400.

Absolutely do NOT need to switch. The phone rep I spoke with did not even talk to me about changing anything with the plan.
 
I know that now. None of the 5 reps I spoke to let me know when I asked about up front costs.
Your paying for the storage, everyone has to pay that.
It's true that we pay for storage but the lease agreement was based on the cost of the phone at each level of capacity (16gb, 64gb and 128gb for iPhone 6s).
This year is no different as the lease should still be based on the cost of the phone.
The key point is that the prices are exactly the same between both iPhone 6s from 2015 & the new 7.
So, using their math we should not have to pay more for a phone at the same value.

I'm in the same boat. Called in and was the first person to speak with my rep. We were on the phone for 70+ minutes before she said she would call me back. I did receive a text from her stating they were still working, but that was 4.5 hours ago...

I JoD'd from a 6splus 128g to a 7plus 128g and its costing me over $230 up front. I pay these loons over $300 a month, I expect an occasional thank you for your business, not a sharp poke in the eye.
That is messed up and there should be no charge to move laterally in storage capacity.
 
They weren't going to pay off EIP so had to cancel that order and reorder using jump. Under order status it should say JUMP! Upgrade if done correctly.

I guess we will see! I wouldn't expect them to be able to have 2 phones on the same phone line if it wasn't upgradeable.

I received a new cost for each month for my plan and it's the exact same since my price was the same as the new phone.

I am not calling their asses today that's for sure. Maybe a chat, maaaaaybe :)

agree I got my EIP and email literally a min when she sent it.
 
Hey is it normal that my tmobile order says overnight shipping but the order on my tmobile says USPS Priority ?

Called to upgrade using JOD, they say I'm not eligible since I don't have their "insurance" even though I've been making the JOD monthly payments on a 6s+ for a year??!! Now waiting on hold to talk to customer service...
 
I ordered early also. No problem ordering over the phone, except the rep forgot to tell me i had to sign the EIP. Saw it this morning and signed. A different rep told me this morning it would ship on the 16th to arrive on the 19th. This is incorrect. They were giving us the same bad date last year. It will be delivered on the 16th. I was told i was one of the first to order.

Also, I'm upgrading using JOD so was surprised I got an EIP and not a lease agreement. Since i dont want to affect my place in line, will deal with that situation after the phone arrives.

With respect to eligibility, I am on a Simple Choice Family Plan and was eligible.

Ordered the Jet Black 7 Plus 128GB

I also upgraded using JOD. I ordered at 3 AM and forgot to sign the EIP, which I didn't do until about 6-6:30 AM. I was wondering if that was the reason my shipping date wasn't for the 16th. Hopefully it comes then. If not, no big deal I guess, since a lot of people won't be getting theirs until November lol.
