Sooooo, in my house, we have 3 of our T-Mobile lines that all have the iPhone 6 64gb (verizon version) and all are fully owned by me and in excellent condition.

We have been very happy with T-Mobile since we came over a couple years ago. Assuming we plan to stay with T-Mobile for at least 2 more years, is there any reason NOT to take this awesome deal??? Trading in a phone that is worth maybe $350 for $650 (via bill credits) still seems great!

I just sent a message to one of the reps on Twitter for the details on JOD. I know you have to call or go to the store, but I'm wondering how much will be required down this year.

Just got off the phone with them (they're calling me at 3AM!). 3rd confirmation that we're NOT being forced onto T-Mo ONE plan. No notifications yet on JoD credits, so looks like it'll be the full monthly payment.

What did that conversation look like? Was it something along the lines of "I want to order the new iPhone 7?"

Just curious what that conversation was like.

Got an answer back pretty quickly:

Me: Good morning, I would like to know how the JOD would work for me going from 6S+ 64GB to 7+128GB?

TMo:Excellent question Corey! That iPhone 7+ sure is amazing and I can't wait! Going up to the 7+ with the 128 GB memory would just be 149.99 down and $28/month! *AmandaP

That is what I was told on Twitter, but then went to a store, they looked at my account and said its a even swap. Guess will not know for sure until tomorrow. I owe $180 on my JOD also looking to do a 6S+64 to a 7+128

I may need to stop by the store then for further clarification as well.

I am going to attempt to preorder at 2:01am CST tonight. First time to preorder with tmobile so I don't know what to expect. Hopefully if can't get in then I can get one launch day with same free upgrade deal. Last year the stores had plenty and just picked one up on lunch break.

Good point about the store having them now. Hopefully stores will get a nice collection of the 128GB phones and will 5 different colors now options should be there as well.

Yeah I didn't buy one last year. Went with a buddy. But zero issues getting one on day one. So its my back up plan at least. I do live in a big city with tons of Tmobile stores and Apple stores. So that might work in my favor a little not sure. I am sure there are going to be a lot of people upgrading that didn't plan to now.

I'm gonna attempt to pre-order off of T-mobiles website, I don't have jump or JOD so just a straight EIP upgrade. I'm hoping the site will be ok since all JOD customers will be calling in their orders.

I'm hoping too! My biggest fear I can't get on for an hr or so and it will be back ordered already :(

True story :( but i do seem to be in the minority on my purchase (7, 32gb) so I'm hoping it won't be sold out quick even if i can't get in for an hour lol.

Can a JUMP! user (not on demand) preorder online?

and for the free iPhone deal, does the one you turn in have to be paid off? I'm eligible for a jump upgrade but I still owe on my current device.

I think 32 gb should be fine lol, tmobile said I could do it through the app but I see no option of purchasing it lol know any info on this?

This is very helpful being a new TMobile member as well.

Sucks we have to call versus doing it online but so is life and will be up at 2am Texas time it seems.

Basically. Asked what the deal was with JoD, or paying my JoD balance to take advantage of the promo. Rep was super nice and helpful and offered to call me (and verified it was 3AM EST) when the preorder was happening. Said there was 1 person in front of me for her to call and that's it.
