they ran a lot of promos on the iPhone 6 and 6S that they aren't doing with the 7 so the monthly installments are much higher. word is they aren't encouraging JoD anymore so they don't have any incentive to continue the discounted rates.
Any word on why they aren't encouraging JoD? Also, am I correct in my understanding that if you keep a JoD phone for 18 months, it would be fully paid off and you can turn it in without owing anything? If that's the case, then I'll get the iPhone 8 as my last JoD phone and keep it 18 months, turn it in, and start buying my phones again.

can we clear something up? we can have more than 1 EIP per line right? cause someone on another forum said no, but i've literally done it (not at the moment)

I still have 12 more payments on the 6S.

and if we opt for the trade in thing will that option even be available when preorders go live ?

I scheduled a callback at 12:01. He said it would probably be 12:05, but I'm betting I'll be getting a callback at 1AM-ish with the demand. Going to use JoD on two lines. I'll have the house phone calling T-Mobile at 11:55 to be on the safe side.

I'm hoping to get that good call back--waiting for a rep now. I'll also be calling at 11:55 from my daughter's cell though. LOL.

Best advice because I've done this 2 years in a row. Literally wake up whenever 12 pst is in your area, call them and pre order, go back to sleep, wake up with an email confirmation, sign your eip, wait on your phone. Profit.

But maaaan those EIPs were a long time coming! I actually ordered with no problem and not a long hold time. It was everything after that was maddening.

I was told by T-Mobilehelp via twitter $149 down and $28/month for 128gb 7+

That seems consistent. And what I needed to know since I want the Jet Black.

Definitely not interested in dropping $150 for my 7+ 128GB at this point. I'll think about it between now and next Fri. If I change my mind then I'll go to the store. Not feeling about pre-ordering after last years debacle and everyone waiting months for their device.

So I just hung up with a rep who told me she would call me back at 3:00 a.m. her time (she's EST). She also told me, though, that I--a JoD customer--would be able to order online starting at 12:01 a.m. We talked a bit more then I asked her AGAIN whether she was sure I would be able to order online being a JoD customer and she said I would.

I'm so confused. LOL!

I didn't wait months. I got mine on launch day. Of course I also talked with a rep in the President's office but so did a lot of people. LOL!

It's all speculation, seems to be a waste of time asking the reps as there is no consistency. Only way to know for sure is to try every method at launch time.

Bingo.

I have thoroughly enjoyed TMobile after coming from ATT as the JoD program caught my eye but at this point if I only use iPhone which I plan to do going forward, TMobile doesn't seem like the best option for ordering an S and the new one each year at this point.

Seems silly to switch carriers for this reason only though.

I would bet the Tmobile blog is correct. Preorder by calling or in store. Regardless of what random reps are saying.

Yup I also came from ATT and although pre-ordering and receiving on launch day for ATT had always been a breeze for me it's not enough to keep me there.

I'm waiting for a call back due to high call volume but I am inquiring about upgrading my 6S to a 7 matte black 128 (or 32gb doesn't really matter but the more the merrier). I will set an alarm to wake up and order at 3

last years pre-order was quite smooth, pre-ordered RG6s 2 days after pre orders opened and got my phone on Launch day
[doublepost=1473372142][/doublepost]only gripe I had last year (which i really hope they fix) was Tmobile sending the phone in literally only a plastic bag, box was crazy beat up.

Hopefully traveling!
Some of these T-Mobile reps are so clueless it's insane... The link posted above shows that for anyone with a Jump On-Demand plan should be able to upgrade to a base model 7 or 7+ with $0 down. It blows my mind the amount of mis information these people put out there tbh!!
