Just got a tracking number for my wife's 128GB Rose Gold 7. They didn't email me. I had to check the status from the order confirmation email.

We are in Memphis so I'm curious if everyone's are held here or just certain areas. We have Fedex's HQ and central hub so it's probably everyone's.

If you use Verizon's payment plan, you'll need to go through the Verizon site.

You can go through for Verizon on IN STORE at Apple on launch day.

i just got off the phone with a rep and she just straight up said "no there is no chance that your phone will be delivered on the 16th if your expected delivery date is the 23rd because a lot of people were ordering phones at 3am"

Last year a lot of dates, including mine, were shipped launch even though it said October. So this rep is deff wrong. Someone earlier said they spoke to 3 reps and they all said it's pretty likely it'll come launch day.

Being this is my first iPhone launch day experience, this is great to hear. And mine actually only says a week after launch day and nobody else with the one I ordered has an earlier date that we know of, so I think I'm good!

I live in Memphis (Germantown) too, ordered around 2:14 CST, and mine still says processing. I chatted with Verizon and they said it will still be shipped on the 16th.

Very Likely. I'd like a few folks to call or hit the online chat and ask the same question and post their responses.

I called because mine when I ordered it said delivery by the 16th and later that night I checked the status of it and it said ship by 28th. The rep told me that their systems were having a hard time keeping up with all the orders so the "deliver by" times weren't current. She said she doubts the phone will be here by the 16th. I ordered a 7+ 128gb rose gold.

I know of quite a few people who have had their phone originate in Memphis (even not from this area). Verizon (or some company related to the iPhones) has some kind of distribution center off of Pleasant Hill that they come from.

So as I mentioned before I have a Jet Black 7 Plus on order and because of errors on the apple site and app I have a date of 10/26. I had received an email from  that day about my iPhone reservation and to click on a link to finish my order, except it couldn't find a reservation at all. So for 2 days I had been in touch with Apple and they have finally got an answer. I just hope its true. If it is true I guess I can cancel my VZW order? This is the email I got back from the Apple rep.

Irrespective of the company or field, CSR's rarely know more than you do about the status of an order.

Misinformation abound.

Give it time and be patient.

VZW and Apple have every incentive to get you your order in a timely fashion.

Apple's style, in my experience, is under promise, over deliver.

The "My Orders" section doesn't show a ship date. However, The confirmation email that shows the price of the phone and the order status section of the website shows 10/05

No charge yet and I placed the order early Friday around 5 AM PST and the email confirmation arrived around 6:10 AM same day.

I ordered a 256GB iPhone 7 black on 9/9 about 11am. I am showing a 9/16 ship date and my credit card was charged today. Theres no shipping information on the website though. Still just says they received the order and its processing.

What sucks about this is someone has to be home to accept the package, but I don't know what day to plan to be home. The estimated 23rd, or the (hopefully) 16th? Somewhere in between?

Right now mine says processing. I placed my order around 3:15 am and I ordered the jet black 128 gb iphone. My delivery date is 10/5 also. When I click on their website it says the same thing.

They don't know - calling them is just speculation at this point- so why even bother? While I want my phone on 9/16/16 - lets give these employees a break.

I ordered much later than everyone else but for some reason my expected delivery seems earlier than everyone else. I wonder if this is an error on the system and if i'll get mine later.

I ordered at 2:15pm inside the verizon store on sept 9 for a 256gb 7+ in Black. My emailed receipt says expected delivery 9/23 and online it says expected to ship by 9/23 and still processing. My two other 32gb 7+ black orders got changed from 9/28 to 10/5 however the 256gb 7+ black is still showing 9/23 so I'm hoping to get it on or close to launch day.
