IT is prettig naive to think there won' t be aan iPhone pro.
My guess is March/April 2017 with oled and an all glass design, launched with the 2 new iPad pro' s. But I could be wrong of course.
The point is: there will be an iPhone pro in the next 2 years. Plus will be just an iPhone with a bigger display and higher res.
Pro will be with a bigger display, more ram, upgraded soc, better camera(?), and other features and tech specs that are just not ready for the mass production in big numbers and have high manufacturing costs at that time.
A year later features of the pro will be released in the regular iPhone an iPhone + models.

The pro will be about $100 more expensive than a plus model, so we basically have to pay for the low yields and R&D costs, while Apple will maintain their margins.

So you think there will be a iPhone Plus & a iPhone pro? So then there would be 4 iPhones, iPhone SE, regular 4.7" iPhone, iPhone Plus & iPhone Pro. I have my doubts about them having a iPhone Plus & a iPhone Pro, but they could. Guess we will have to wait to see what they have in store. I don't care about the Plus & Pro but I wish the SE would have the same features and everything as the regular 4.7" iPhone, which is totally doable. They could of given the SE an updated display and other features as the 4.7". I would of gladly paid the same price as the regular phone. I know a few people that were going to get the SE but walked away because of the display and other missing features. Apple could of had both phones the exact same and the same price and their profit margin would of been the same no matter which phone people bought. Not really sure why they wouldn't of went down that route instead.

According to GSM Arena the iPhone 7 has allegedly been tested and found to be waterproof and dustproof.

Link: http://www.gsmarena.com/iphone_7_to...aims_touch_home_button_also_in-news-17943.php

Not the most reliable but we will see when parts start leaking as soon as the iPhone 7 starts going into production. I think it's possible tho after all if Apple are aiming to make it thinner removing the home button for a touch sensitive one may help OR it could all be lies.

waterproof and wireless charging? yes please

hope wireless charging is included.

It very well may do, or it could all just be rumour. I'm wondering if some of these leaked features are destined for the 7 rather than the 7S, could it be possible that Apple have leaked some of this information in order to confuse the situation, and then in September reveal the iPhone 7 with a redesign and other features.

How times have changed.. looks like apple is doing some following here.

who knows maybe it will actually be usable under water while most if not all waterproofed phones thus far act outta control when u touch the screen with wet let alone fingers under water

This is a good point, usually Apple don't put a feature in it's devices unless they can make it better, other companies then jump on board, for example Touch ID.

wireless charging and waterproof is at least step in the right direction. They need some upgrades otherwise sales will take another hit

If that is the iPhone 7 pro, it would be kind of disappointing in design.

It could be, however, that Apple will release a iPhone 7 and a 7 plus, with another , new design, similar, but different, thinner, no protruding lens, etc. and an iPhone 7 pro that looks the same as an iPhone 6splus, but with the dual lens, without antenna lines, etc.
The dual camera is enough to let it stand out from the 6s plus.
The 7 and 7 plus could be quite different to design as the iPhone 6/s and the 7 pro.
With this strategy, they can give the iPhone 7 pro more internal room for a more powerful soc and higher res/true tone display and double camera for the pro. The 7 pro would look different for the 6s plus by having a different camera.

So iPhone 7 and 7 plus, new and thinner design, some design changes(flush camera??), higher res display, less antenna lines, updated soc, updated single camera.(smart connector?)
iPhone 7 pro:same design and dimensions as the iPhone 6s plus, updated dual camera, that still, sticks out, even faster soc , more internal memory, higher res true tone display, smart connector, less antenna lines.

I think if a phone has the "Pro" name attached to it, it would not be essentially the same design as a phone from two years ago, while having the 7/7+ (which would not be "Pro") to somehow be the ones with a new design.

If any of those potential 3 phones would have the new design, it would be the "Pro."

I think the reality is becoming clear: The iPhones being released fall 2016 are virtually identical (design wise) to the iPhones released in 2014.

This report and leak says that the iPhone 7 will have a headphone jack. This year we have and are still hearing conflicting reports about the iPhone 7, some are saying no headphone jack, some are saying there will be one, some are saying the 7 will be waterproof, some are saying it wont. I'm wondering if Apple have created 2 or 3 iPhones such as the following:

iPhone 7 - normal iPhone with a headphone jack
iPhone 7 Plus - with a headphone jack
iPhone 7 Pro - without a headphone jack, waterproof, dual camera, 256GB option

OR

iPhone 7 - normal with headphone jack
iPhone 7 Pro ( replacing iPhone 7 Plus) without headphone jack, waterproof, dual camera, 256GB option.

Who says that it can't be waterproof if it has a headphone jack?

I didn't say it couldn't, I'm just not sure if Apple will implement it in the other versions. My post was only a guess, it's probably more realistic that the so called "leak" of the headphone jack, is either a fake or that it's a copy phone (whic are popular in China).

SE Penna.
So many think they should wait to upgrade since there's not much improvement in design. I want the plus/pro size from my IP6 and the trade-in value will be greater than waiting till next year.

If the rumors are true, maybe a price cut is in the works the the top of the line being the price of the 6s/6s+ today.

It's possible, altho the iPhone Pro could just end up being something like $100 more expensive than the iPhone 7 Plus.

I'm the same, I want the Plus/Pro as an upgrade from my iPhone 6 Plus, I think the 7 will still have some great features.

Judging by the looks of it, I would probably just pick up a Google Nexus 6 when it comes out.
