Well I took the phone swap option, lets see what happens.

Please let us know. I canceled my Genius appointment to have my phone swapped. I don't like taking a chance to get a phone that has a dead pixel or whatever else could be wrong with it. Worst case is, if this doesn't get resolved by the 14 day mark, I can see what options I have with Apple. Not sure how the IUP will affect me.

I will.

I signed up for IUP this year. I'm curious to see what happens/if it messes up my program.

I actually don't think it should right? Personally, I signed up with Apple Care+, which means I could get a replacement if I accidentally damage mine (minus deductibles). This would be a replacement under the warranty.

It all depends if they have the white box replacements. The last thing you want to do is have to turn in your old phone and get a new one. That means it ends the current loan and starts a new one. I went through this with the 6s when I had a bad home button.

I made an appointment for next Thursday with Apple. Will probably swap my phone out if nothing has changed.

Not a bad idea to do that far in advanced. I will take you up on that idea. Thanks!

Its one day before the 14 day mark, that way if I am not completely happy I have several options for replacement.

Yep, makes sense. Question is, how do they treat IUP users? Only swap with a different 7? I guess I can ask over the weekend. Prepare for the battle.

Ugh, I'll give it a shot and make an appointment at Apple sometime next week in case this issue isn't resolved.

Supposedly 10.0.2 fixes it but fix is not in 10.1 (yet)

Did people in a different thread mention this? I'm on 10.1 to play with Portrait mode, but I'll try to downgrade for better reception

Verizon is currently looking at my field test mode numbers. Neighboring cells are blank, which is weird.

So I found out why Sprint isn't having issues. They don't have voice over LTE. Just checked my wife's phone and confirmed there's no option. Perhaps this is related to voice over LTE all along.

Also experienced this issue driving home today from a lunch gathering. Used Waze to direct me there and it lost signal about three quarters of the way there. Luckily I kind of knew where to go but still, it could've been a large waste of time and gas otherwise.

I was in 10.0.1, but I just updated to 10.0.2 so I'll see if there's a difference now. Never received any signal issues with Verizon in my 6S+ on 10.0.0 so this is pretty frustrating. I'm so used to having Verizon service everywhere I go it was a little strange seeing the signal drop happen!

My 7 plus is doing the same as many are reporting, it drops to 3G and 1-2 bars. I recall having this issue with my 6 I think. I just got my 7 yesterday so I'll give it a few days, if no improvement then I'm just going to return it and go back to the 6s plus I had.

I'm also having this issue when I need to use my VZ iphone 7+ from idle to search the internet or make calls or use Waze, from LTE to No Service to 1x to 3G to LTE with 2 dots.. never had this issue with my iphone 6 prior to upgrading to 7+. I find this really strange since it's Verizon and I normally get good signal here in Northern NJ. I'm contacting VZW right now and will give them the issue tracking number. So annoying!
[doublepost=1474661104][/doublepost]at the moment, the VZW rep I am chatting with told me this is the only time she encountered a call with this issue - I think we should all do our part and call them so they will be forced to fix! ugh

I have been dropping calls. I logged a ticket. they know the problem has something to do with the software connecting to the network and are troubleshooting it. this one may take a little time, but Im sure they will sort it out soon enough.

No Verizon QA I am guessing. :(

Well I also made a appointment with apple today I am going in & I talked to another Verizon tech support person. I am just going to take the replacement route and see how that goes. Will update once I get some info on when my replacement is coming.

I swapped my iPhone at Verizon and still have the issue so it's either antenna gate all over again or something to do with the carrier settings or baseband

When I powered on my 7 today to setup I noticed there was a carrier upgrade available. Did you update yours?
