I was just saying the same thing to someone here at work. We need to make this issue more visible. I'm guessing AT&T isn't having this issue.

I have a 7+ AT&T and I have the exact same issue, the people at AT&T tried to replace the sim card several times and finally told me to contact apple for a replacement.

Same issue here. When I had my 6s, I always get LTE in the same places & now on my 7+, I get 3G and 1x, have to turn airplane mode on & off to get back LTE. Maybe Verizon needs to push a carrier update.

Edit: Updated to iOS 10.1 beta 1, still the same issue.

Was considering getting this on Verizon, may wait for this to resolve first, but was wondering what your call settings are. Not Global or auto, but CDMA right? Also, wondering if wifi calling being enabled is causing some havoc. Anyone try it being off? These are some issues Android users have had on phones before. Helped those devices out. Interested in this phone but getting scared away.

LOL VZW taking a shot at T-Mobile about "caring about outages" so I took a shot back. I tweeted back....

"Funny you mention this considering how T-Mobile fixed their iPhone 7 network dropping issue on day 2, while us VZW users are still waiting……"

[doublepost=1474570468][/doublepost]So for those of you that are experiencing this problem, would you recommend that I delay upgrading? If you had it to do all over again would you have waited until these issues were fixed?

It doesn't affect me enough to say I shouldn't have upgraded. A fix will come soon enough like it did for T-Mobile. Up to you though.

What was T-Mobile's fix? I must have missed that. Kudos for the tweet. They need to come down a peg.

Sadly I don't think Verizon is doing anything to correct the issue. VZW twitter support asked me to call in since they can't help me anymore and I have a business account. We need Macrumors and other major sites to assist with exposing this issue, maybe then Verizon will do something.

I emailed macrumors tips email our threads explaining we need exposure 3 days ago. Never heard anything back so screw it.

Verizon's not going to care until their bottom line is affected. I almost ordered a 7 last night then saw this thread and googled the issue as it apparently is widespread beyond macrumors. No way would I want to get a 7 with this problem. Lose signal, drop calls, pretty significant IMO.

EDIT: Not to mention but Apple is touting better cell reception as one of the improvements in the 7's. LOl!

I just did a side by side speed test over LTE with an iPhone 6S vs my iPhone 7. The 7 is on 10.1, 25.5 and the 6S is on 10.0.1, 25.1

Then again, subsequent tests kind of flip flopped and the 7 was faster. Plus, I never really had an issue in this area with the phone. Only when I'm at work.

While on wifi, both phones download and upload speeds are identical. So wifi works fine and is consistent. It's the LTE side of the radio that's messing up.

Has anybody actually swapped out the phone at Verizon or Apple for this issue and seen improvement?

I swapped my iPhone at Verizon and still have the issue so it's either antenna gate all over again or something to do with the carrier settings or baseband

My wife is on Sprint and she has no issues with IPhone 7. We even had the phone side by side and hers never dropped while mine went to no service.

Seems Sprint (ironically) is the only one that hasn't had carrier issues with the 7.

Just got done chatting with Verizon. Told them the issue and referenced this case number, 102095-091716. Also linked him to this thread to reference for more details. Said they are aware and are working on a fix. Hopefully it comes sooner than later.

When I linked to the ticket number the guy said that isn't one of their numbers at Verizon ( he sounded about as sharp as a bowling ball)

Verizon 7 plus here. No issues whatsoever. If anything it is better. Used to have call break up a little bit on one spot coming from work and it didn't yesterday I noticed. Sorry others are having issues..
