Well then we are all screwed
Look at the proportions of posts in "Bend-Gate" & "Yellow-Gate" there was a lot more acknowledgement and coverage of it.

We can't even make front page from a 16 page thread. Even Macrumors isn't acknowledging that it is a large enough issue.

I'm at the Apple Store but they don't have any new devices to exchange and my phone is just No Service at all. So they'll replace it with a refurbished one they use for Genius Bar replacements. Waiting for it now.

Let us know how that works out

I haven't had a straight up "No Service" yet but I've been bouncing to 3G/1x wayyy too often. If there isn't a solution or at least an acknowledgement of the issue by Friday I will likely just return my 7 (as thats the last day I have to return it)

The returns will depend on new stock. If they don't have any, depending on store, they'll try to exchange it with their Genius Bar replacements which are refurbished.

I would suggest to schedule a Genius Bar appt on the day and time you want to go to the store, specially if your phone model's stock is still scarce.

EDIT: By the way, I'm still waiting. This store is just packed!

Just went on an errand and got the dreaded "No Service." I am of the belief it's also a problem with moving between cell towers. After a minute or so it came back at a full 5 bars.

I wasn't using data on this trip to work but my signal did momentarily drop to 1x then 3G for a few minutes then back to LTE. I was using band 4 at home and still using band 4 now on the tower at work. Just did a speed test at full LTE on the tower outside work, got 56 Mbps. Once inside work, that drops to 5-8 Mbps. Maybe it's just an antenna penetration issue then.

I'm in my parking deck, same tower, with two dots of LTE and speed tests are 16-20 Mbps. I'm surrounded by concrete at work so that doesn't help penetration and speed tests. However that doesn't explain signal drops on the highway.

I have a feeling a lot of people will be upset with the replacement devices not helping
I have a very large Apple enterprise account under my management... we have dozens of the 7 and 7 Plus phones, and I've switched between a bunch of them already. I can say with good confidence it's not the SIM, and it's not the phone hardware.

But, I am actually starting to think maybe that's the only way it gets fixed... costing Apple money with the returns, and emptying out the devices they have allocated for Genius Bar swaps.

The unit should still be new, even though they are saying it's refurbished. No way they are already working with refurb stock.

Is this only a problem for Verizon iPhone 7 on Verizon, or does this same problem happen when using these (unlocked) Qualcomm phones with Sprint, AT&T or TMobile?

O they told you they are out of stock of replacement phones. What they did for me is that they ordered a Genius Bar replacement phone but it showed no date for when it would come.

Same, but they ordered a new one for me. Whatever shipment they have starting tomorrow that matches my device, will be reserved for me.

So if a dozen units come in, and only 2 matches my device, 1st is mine, then 1 on my model will only be available for reservations and whoever falls in line at the store.

I've been using 6S after I returned 7 since yesterday afternoon. No issues to report! Night and day difference. Although I'm bummed out I had to settle for a year old iPhone at least the service issues are gone. Added bonus is I get headphone jack back :)

Hopefully your iPhone 7 issues get resolved soon.

A guy earlier in the thread said he's using a Verizon iPhone 7 on T-Mobile and he's affected. Sooo that throws a curveball into the equation.

That may take the issue off Verizon's plate and make it an iOS 10/Qualcomm issue that apple needs to fix.
