Verizon doesn't care. We had an issue last summer in our area where the service just sucked. No data connection, calls dropping, it was horrible and it was just out of the blue. Verizon's excuse; "well there's leaves on trees now". I said that's ridiculous, after eight years living here now there's leaves on trees giving me an issue. Their reply was that I can go elsewhere if I want.

I guess if they don't care and they are at fault, this issue will never be resolved. And if that is the case you will suffer from bad network performance with this so called bug. And since you have had bad experiences with them before, why do you stay with them? I just switched to them so I am new to these kinds of issues. And I am curious to see how they resolve this/these problems. If they continue to suck I will take my five lines to my previous carrier.

In my area they really are the best service. Sprint has gotten a lot better but still not as good as Verizon, that's the only reason I'm still with them. It's not just me, a friend had the issue too last year. He was told the same thing, he could go to another provider if he wanted. But again here Verizon is the best coverage. Sadly.

I was with AT&T and only switched because my corporate discount is getting better with Verizon. I let my wallet decide where I was going. Unfortunately this issue has had me rethink my decision and might force me to return to AT&T. I never had an issue AT&T nor did I have an issue with Verizon prior of the 7. That is why I am hoping there is some resolution to this issue. I was going to switch back to AT&T over the weekend but the wife deflected that decision. Of course she isn't having any issues with her IP7.

Sorry for the boring filler thread. :)

I have a discount with Verizon as well, sorry forgot to mention that earlier. Other than some quirkiness they've always been very solid. Last summer all of a sudden the service was awful for about a month. They gave me every excuse from leaves on trees to kids are out of school now and they could be overloading the network. After that everything was fine again. Has been since. I had heard they lost their lease on some of our local towers and that was the reason for their issues. I just didn't like their answer of well you can go elsewhere if you're not happy with our service.
My friend Tim was in the same boat. His service was awful at the same time as ours and he got the same response of "you can always go to another provider" which seems pretty ridiculous after several years of being a customer. He's got five lines with them, I have two if that matters. I don't know just my two cents. I'm sure though get this issue ironed out, technically it's only been a few phone has been out. Guess we're all just along for the ride

What'd you say to them to make 'em budge on giving you a credit? It seems like they're tough cookies to crack.

First time was asking to refund my upgrade fee of $20. Second time the other day I just explained how frustrated I was with the constant service drops and the phone wasn't as usable as it should be. The guy said he could go up to $20 in credit so I accepted.

I must say, the other day my wifes 6S was showing the same exact LTE strength as my iPhone 7 on the highway and today at work I had zero dropouts or episodes of 3G. also, my ride home had proper signal strength in all locations on my route. looking promising.

Is this with beta or 10.0.2?

Do we actually think a signed petition will do something? I think at this point Apple and Verizon will move at their own speed to resolve this issue. That's if the issue can truly be resolved.

So I'm back with the 7+, after returning my Note 7 before it explodes. This is my 2nd one and I've only had it since yesterday. My first one had the no service issue, several times per day lasting for several minutes. I had high hopes this new one would be working, but sure enough on the way to work I got the "no service" issue right on the Garden State Parkway, where normally I'd have full signal. A flick of the airplane mode on then off fixed it, but still a poor solution.

Has Apple or Verizon officially noted this exists yet? Or are we just floating around in limbo?

VZ blames Apple and Apple says they re not aware of the issue, at times. They are ignoring this issue totally.

Limbo. But most of us have word from them that they are both actively working on it and are aware. Over the past week, my use in north NJ has improved greatly along Route 78 and the Parkway. Haven't had the issue in days.

Good to know. Although it's mostly sporadic, there are 2 spots I've so far noted are fairly consistent. One where I am getting onto Rt 23 in Wayne NJ, and the other is the GSP going South right after the Bloomfield tolls.

Do other phones drop in those same areas?

I've spent five days traveling through Canada, didn't not have this issue once while roaming (Bell & Rogers).
But it came right back after phone switched to VZW.

So, to me, it looks like an issue with VZW network/settings.

Hopefully, 10.1 will come out soon with a fix.

No, my Note 7 was rock solid and normally I expect 3-5 bars in those areas. Never had any issues with previous Note 5 either. Funny thing is I ask my wife, who is on a regular iPhone 7, and she says she is having no issues.

Well I have a 7 and I had issues.

Mine drops about a couple miles South of the Woodbridge tolls. What is different is that when my iPhone 7 is indoors, it goes from LTE, to 3G, then to 1X and then no data, but when I am on the GSP, and I have Waze open, first the GPS goes out, then I get No Service for a little bit.
