I've read a few problems with AT&T but with my experience with my AT&T test sim, nothing.
It could just be an IOS issue with Verizon Volte I guess. I returned my 7 over this and my 6s plus is doing the same thing. Verizon just works in my area of use better than any other carrier otherwise I'd dump them.

I'm still on 10.0.1 with carrier 25.1 and the last 3 days I haven't had a drop at all. It's the same commute and places as always and I've changed nothing else on phone. I really think this is an issue on VZ side which explains why people in specific areas have the issue but not others. If it was iOS or the phone then nobody would be fine.

I'm guessing Apple is trying to make some tweaks in software to help but it seems like VZ has to do the lifting here.

Also on 10.0.1 with carrier 25.1. No LTE issues. Iphone 7 Jet black.

I haven't had any problems at all with reception, etc.
This phone had 10.01 out of the box. I've updated to 10.02. Verizon, South Carolina.
I'm afraid to update from 10.0.1. Mine is perfect. No LTE issues.

My wife has the exact same phone as I do, got them launch day - she has no issues and I do. So, I don't think this is related to certain areas. It's also possible that people are having the issue and don't know it. Mine only happens when I'm driving so unless I'm using A GPS app, streaming music, or watching the signal I wouldn't notice it.
It also seems to happen to me when I put the phone in my pocket sometimes and I pull it out and it shows 3G and stays there awhile. I rarely had my 6 go to 3G from being in my pocket and if it did, it jumped to LTE very quickly afterwards

Haha. I can relate. My wife and I would be stopped at a red light, I would check my phone, and bam no signal. I ask my wife, what's your phone say, she has 4 bars. *sigh*. The worst part is, she laughs because I get so irritated.

I have a Qualcomm modem in my ATT iPhone 7 plus and have no issues.
I haven't seen this issue on sprint either, is that correct?

So is this confirmed as affecting husbands only? Because my wife's iPhone doesn't have this issue, and I keep reading others with the same experience.

Yes. iPhones don't like husbands.

I hear ya. I am going to see how Verizon and Apple fix this. I was going to go over to ATT last weekend but I am going to see how this will get fixed.

I'm in north jersey too and haven't had an issue in a week and a half. Hmmmmm thinks may getting better.

You're thinking with the combination of 10.1B3 and Verizon working on their network, things are improving?

Well. I thought this issue was resolved but apparently not. Just attempted to enable lte for both data and voice. Phone went into 1x then stayed on 3G. I had to disable my cellular connection and leave LTE enabled for only data.

Seriously WTF

Yes that's what I'm thinking.

Could be why Apple is delaying the fix. Roll it up under one patch, 10.1.

My phone still drops from LTE to 3G in the same spot pulling into my neighborhood. My 5s doesn't drop and neither does the wife's phone. Running 10.1B3.

My 7 has full service at my house while my 6 has 2-3 bars and my 7 never drops out at my house it only drops out when I go to my office it will have 4 bars of service and then randomly go 4,3,2,1 bar then no service I'll turn on/off airplane mode and it won't do it again for a week or so then it will randomly do it I think it's software iv watched it do it

Drove from Philly to Fl. The only issues I had were between Philly and DC! The rest of the trip was flawless! Could it be a regional thing? Literally was perfect the whole way except those areas...both going down and coming back.

It could be. Maybe a modem driver on the iphone isn't compatible with a firmware on the towers? Again, I'm not a cellular network engineer.

I think it might be. I live in a city of around 220,000, and none of my friends with the 7 or 7 Plus are having issues anywhere in town. We also have LTE Advanced.

For those of you that got charged the $20 upgrade fee -- I successfully got mine waived by referencing this issue. We went back and forth a few times and the rep was adamant that the fee could not be waived. Then he claimed the money "goes back into the network". I said that must be nonsense because of this issue...

I purchased (full retail) a Verizon 256GB 7 Plus on October 11 (five days ago.) Upgraded from a 6s Plus. Did the setup/restore, and activation in-store here in Alaska. This is a week 39 phone, and came with 10.0.1 out of the box.

It wasn’t until getting home, setting passwords for various apps, and final setup of the 7 Plus that there was an update. Didn’t think twice, and applied 10.0.2. I really hadn’t used the phone much prior to that and didn’t notice any signal drops or other issues.

I live about 850 feet from the tower. Signal strength is -60 to -65 dBm. I also have a new S7 edge on Verizon on a second line.

Sitting at my desk, with both phones in front of me, I started noticing, after a period, the iPhone dropped to “No Service”. The S7 suffered no loss of signal. I then started paying closer attention, and doing searches of the Internet when I discovered this thread (and, unfortunately, many like it.)

So, my experience is that sitting on a desk, no apps running or open in the background, and the 7 Plus drops the signal. At first it takes a while, but ultimately is every five or so minutes. A reboot does help, buy only temporarily.

I tried all the things mentioned here that seems to have worked for others, but all to no avail. The phone was running 10.0.2, Carrier 25.1, and Modem 1.00.04.

I decided to try the latest 10.1 Beta 3, as some reported success. Shortly after updating to 10.1 Beta 3, Carrier 26.0, and Modem 1.24.00, I suffered the same loss of signal.

I also notice that reception is not as good as the 6s Plus I replaced, which is disappointing. Not sure what I am going to do now, but thank goodness the S7 edge works fine.

I got mine reversed without citing any issues at all. I simply asked lol!

The newest beta seems to help, but not cure the issue. I'm sure a true fix is in the works and will come in due time.
