I wonder if the 10.1 beta 3 already had this? I would like to down grade to 10.0.3 but seems like a hassle (for me).

And it's official! Some will be hesitant to take this as the official fix, but I'm willing to take Apple's word considering they have made such a public announcement via a software update.

Congrats to all those who participated here, as this thread, as well as others on various sites, provided the kindle necessary to facilitate an official fix!

I'm using the latest developer beta, and it feels like a mixed bag. I seem to get fewer instances of "LTE->1x->3G->LTE" but I've dropped more calls and had worse call quality. *shrug*

With the 10.0.3 change the modem version seems to have changed to 1.00.05 (from 1.00.04 on 10.0.2).

For those running the beta's, what modem version do you have?

I wasn't having issue with drops, but the new FW has improved my LTE speeds. Prior, at my home I was consistently having speeds around 25 Mbps during the day. First test after the update, 60 Mbps.

I'm updating right now. There's a location at my work where I can replicate this problem without fail. I'll report back tonight if 10.0.3 fixes it!

Dang, so we beta users have to wait for the next update to receive these fixes? Kind of wish I was on the stable release now.

But bravo guys, we finally made it. Hopefully. It's been a long time coming...

I actually *just* got a new dev beta which I assume addresses the issue. Check for updates. :)

Just updated. I'm on the 31st floor of an office building, and my signal here is the same as before the update (bounces between one and two bars of LTE).

The real test will be taking the elevator down to the lobby. Until this point, I have been losing signal on the way down, and connecting to 3G (instead of LTE) each time I regain signal. Hopefully the phone picks up LTE instead.

Update: grabbed LTE immediately after leaving the elevators - seems successful

Hmm, just upgraded to the latest beta. I wanted to run a speed test to see if my reception/speeds improved with the new update, but what do you know... as soon as I turned off wifi I had 3G only. I waited a minute and then toggled airplane mode. Boom, LTE instantly restored.

Ugh.

Just installed 10.1 Beta 4.

As before, no notes specific to a cellular issue/fix in the release notes.

For Verizon phone:
Carrier = 26.0
Modem = 1.24.00

Will have to test tomorrow drive to work.

Drove home and no issues at all. Stayed on lte all the way and continues to be solid. Need a few more days to be sure but looks promising.

Keep in mind this update is only for Verizon phones so maybe the beta will not have this update implemented until it goes live

Was on beta 2 with no issues for over a week. Installed beta 4 and just had a drop...maybe a bad area? Hoping this isn't a step backward :-/
