So Verizon WAS right!
Well, it seems like they were likely right about them not being able to make the fix on their own, but hard to say if the issue/fix didn't involve them in some way and was just something purely on Apple's side.

A friend of mine who drives around for his job said this update, 10.0.3, resolved the connectivity problems with his Verizon iPhone 7.

With my 6s plus doing the same crap the 7 is doing, the update is not for the 6s so I'm stuck.

It almost seemed like the radio was crashing for some reason hence the no service and then didn't recover properly. I noticed the baseband was updated and the update process was different from most updates where it looks like it flashed the radio and then updated the system. I really think this was some sort of low level issue in radio. I'm still on same carrier file and haven't had issues yet. I'll make sure I post here if I have any issues going forward.

What's strange is now iPhone 7s are on a different version than other phones right?

Been rock solid, so far, with Beta 4. Am sitting still, 850 feet from a cell. Loads of signal, and really seems this "fixed" the issue. Good news that 10.0.3 appears to have fixed the issue, too.

Mine dropped out again but I didn't have to turn on airplane mode it found its way back to 3 bars Lte about 10 seconds later first time it's done it seems way more solid than before though!

I've had that happen in beta 3. Drop out was quick to recover. But it still shouldn't happen at all so it's still not fixed.

It was doing it quite a bit before I did the update but it's only done it once so far and my signal is a lot stronger than it was before

Quick question

When 10.1 is officially released, can we install it ota right over the beta or do we need to do a restore.

Thx

You can install the official release right on top of the beta. Then you can unenroll from the beta program if desired by deleting the profile from your phone.

10.0.3 does not seem to have fixed the issue for me. I am still getting drops to no service or 1x and I have to toggle airplane to get LTE back. Frustrating.

I was confident the fix would remedy the issue for me, however just had a drop in an area that I am positive has decent LTE coverage. Right outside my office building. Dropped to No Service for 10 seconds, then fluctuations between 1x, 3G, and none of the above. Toggling airplane mode restored LTE almost instantly. Wondering what Apple did fix

I'm on 10.0.3, iPhone 7 Plus on VZW, Carrier 25.1

A little OT but I downgraded from 10.1 beta 3 to 10.0.3 (seems good so far). Did the restore & everything.

But now my phone is telling me Beta 4 is available for download. Is this normal? If I'm back on the regular OS, I assume it shouldn't be telling me the update is available. Any way to disable?

Beta 4 is working for me. Went twice through the place I always lost connection before and it is working just fine. Also tried with Waze on (although previously I lost it both with Waze and without but some folks seemed to think Waze was a problem). I've not driven on an extended drive through all the places where I previously had problems but at least for the last day, the latest update seems to have fixed the problem.

You have to delete the beta profile (settings > general > profile) or it will always prompt you to download the next available beta.
