Do I dare ask if anyone has tried the 10.2 beta? I have it downloaded but haven't installed it yet.

So far so good with 10.2 Beta 1. As I mentioned, my signal issues were gone with the exchange of the Week 39 phone for a Week 41 model. Been absolutely rock solid, for a week now.

However, for those still suffering issues, the Carrier has been updated to 26.5.2 and the Modem is now at 1.31.00. Maybe that will fix issues for those still dealing with the frustrations.

I am curious as to why AT&T's Carrier file is still on 26.0 on 10.1.1. Anyone running 10.2 beta on AT&T and have a newer carrier file?

On a side note, it seems my AT&T signal issues have gone away. If anyone remembers, from 10.0.3 on, mine and my wife's phones went from full bars at home down to 1 bar. Now for some reason, they stabilized at 4 bars, sometimes going back to full. I'm not sure what happened with that.

Each carrier has their own updates.

Still showing 26.1 for VZW here.

This thread sure has lost a lot of steam lately. I assume that's because most people are no longer having issues?

I haven't noticed any signal dropouts for a couple of weeks (since 10.1 B4 or B5 was released). That said, I work from home and don't leave the house terribly often!

I just deal with it honestly, haha.

It's gotten better, but the dreaded 1x occasionally rears its ugly head. You know what has made this whole thing even more annoying for me?

I've embraced wireless headphones now with the iPhone 7. Everytime I need to toggle airplane mode, I lose connection to my headphones. Aggrevating!

Well, I spoke too soon.

Just left the house today for an appointment and while using Waze for navigation, I saw the signal dropout and then go to 1x followed by 3G. It stayed on 3G for several minutes before reverting back to LTE. This was in an area right by my house with known good LTE coverage.

So I guess the issue is sadly still not fixed after all. :(

Basically just living with it and it's Pathetic to be honest with you. I have to keep the volte off when I'm in and out of areas with not the greatest LTE coverage. It should be able to do that by itself.
I'm honestly thinking of buying the google phone and trying it out to see if it has the same issues.

I am still having connection issues and now following this thread. My wife's phone is doing the same thing.

I have updated all settings and a new SIM card.

iOS 10.1.1 and 26.1 carrier setting.

iPhone 7 128GB

Is anyone noticing that their LTE signal settles or drifts lower over time? My 7+ seems to hate sitting on a strong (4-5 dot) LTE signal and usually drifts down to 2 dots. I've played around with the airplane setting and it immediately goes back to a strong signal and then drifts back to a lower signal.

This morning I noticed my signal dropped to 1 dot so I toggled airplane mode on and off. The signal went straight to 4 dots then dropped back to 1-2 dots over then next minute or so.

I have been using Pandora while driving as a monitor of my signal because when it drops off, my car requires me to select Pandora again before it will start playing. In certain areas where it shows at least 2 dots of LTE, Pandora may drop every 15 seconds or more.

Something is still not right with the phone, but I am starting to give up on finding a fix.

I experienced this at work and we have Verizon repeaters everywhere in the buildings. Just the other day I went from full signal to two dots and the repeater was 40 ft away. I asked my friend what signal he had and he had full.

Update: Just happened again. Went from one building to another. I'm thinking the phone still has issues going from one tower (repeater) to another.

So I've been reluctant to post and update. I still get an error every so often when starting an app and it complains about not having internet. However, regarding the no service/3G issue, i haven't observed the issue since upgrading to 10.1. This goes for both of our iPhone 7's.

Could it possibly be my phone since I am still having issues? Its the 7+ from launch.

Every app or just one? Connected to Wi-Fi or no internet? Strong service where you are?

Try settings - general - reset - reset network settings — may help.

I'd say no, I went through 3 different iPhone 7's and they all had the issue, and my iPhone 7+ had the issue too. Installing the GM version of 10.1 did the trick for both... at least for no service/3G. I still think it's not perfect as many apps still report no internet on initial fire open.

Fwiw, I tried beta 10.1 and it had the issue, downgraded to 10.0.3 and it had the issue. Only GM 10.1 changed it for me.

Only apps that require an internet connection on initial start of the app, and Only when I'm using LTE. Yes, tried reset network settings.

there has to be a pattern with which apps do it, right? wi-fi or LTE? strong service? try settings - general - reset - reset network settings?

sounds like the phone isn't maintaining a connection to verizon the way it should. if you go to settings - privacy - diagnostics - diagnostic and usage data do you see a lot of the same thing crashing? like commcenter?

i bet a service is crashing in the background — this is a single problem that happens to be manifesting itself when you open apps because that's when you're able to see an error message — then the service restarts itself and everything works, until it crashes again.

i wonder if it's happening when your phone goes to sleep or cycles down into a low power mode...

I'm starting to think it's a phone issue. Seems like the 7 Plus has the most issues. I have had my 7 for 3 weeks now, and not one drop from LTE to 3G.
