Is the 6s running iOS 10? If it is, that tells us nothing. iOS will damper reception on both devices.

Compare it to a 6s running 9.3.5 and then report back as I did.

Both devices running 10. This tells me I don't have a hardware issue with my 7+. I don't think Apple is signing 9.3.5.

My replacement Week 42 device has a stuck pixel and the home button is a little bit recessed/not flush; you can feel the ridge between the capacitive ring and glass, so I will be getting yet another overnight replacement. Let's hope this one doesn't have any problems.

My current phone that has the stuck pixel had no signal problems whatsoever. I hate playing this phone lottery game. Happens every year in some way or another.

[doublepost=1479180327][/doublepost]New beta 3
Carrier setting is now verizon 27.0
Modem firmware 1.33.0

I rarely notice the issue anymore after 10.1 was released. It doesn't seem to be 100% fixed, but it seems like it has improved. That's why this thread has slowed down I imagine. Most people aren't seeing the problem very often anymore from the sounds of it.

Pretty much the same experience, it's better since 10.1, but not 100%.

This morning I left my house and my phone said I had LTE, but data didn't work for 5 minutes until I cycled airplane mode.

No, 10.1.1 second release. I see your implication. Seems odd that a carrier update would require a beta version of the OS.
It's not so much that it's that beta versions usually have newer carrier versions with them as well which would then be released when the final version is released.

My 2nd replacement came today. No problems yet at all. Week 39 and Factory C39. So this device was made 3 weeks prior to my 1st replacement and in the same factory.

It's all a crap shoot guys.

Exactly which is really that bad part about this situation.

Edited to Add:

So how is everyone's call clarity with the iphone 7? Thank you

and also has anyone seen this post on the Verizon's Forum?

When will iPhone 7 /7 plus call issues be fixed and why aren't customers being notified of the problem before being sold the phone?

LOL. In that thread, a Verizon support person asked the original poster if they had removed all the "packing material" from their phone (whatever that means) and then later asked if their battery was low when they experienced the problems.

If that's where Verizon is at on this issue, God help us! Ridiculous.

Yes,you're right. This is really Ridiculous. this is just terrible you pay also $1,000 dollars for a new iPhone and you end up to all kinds of trouble just trying to do same things on that phone. SMH.

I am in Irvine California and three of the guys that I work with have the iPhone 7+ and are not experiencing any problems. I am on the Apple Upgrade Program but am in no hurry to upgrade to an iPhone 7 because with my luck, I would wind up with one of the bad ones that experiences the reception problem. I'm going to monitor this thread and wait for everyone to say that all is good before I upgrade. Hopefully that will happen before Christmas.

I received a brand new replacement phone (not a refurb, actual retail packaging) and I don't want to jinx it but this is a big improvement. It was shipped straight from china so I assume its fairly new.

This is the first time I have ever seen full signal strength on my iPhone in a month. Sitting in the same spot my old device got 2 bars and the new one gets full 5 bars.

That's great news. I'm happy that your new phone is working out for you. I got my fingers crossed for you! Good Luck!!

Oh, I see your point of the view as to why you are not in any hurry to upgrade to the iPhone 7.

Thanks for the insight that not everyone with the iPhone 7/7+ is having these kinds of problems, that's encouraging to hear.

Had a chance to compare a 6, 6S and my 7 last night in a few different locations. All running 10.1.1 so the comparison doesn't address possible differences in performance between iOS 9 and iOS 10. The 6S actually ran behind the 6 and 7, typically by about 6dB, which is a big difference. File that under "FWIW."

My brand new replacement has been functioning great. Showing stronger signal in all areas. Able to acquire signal faster after no service (i.e. Walking out of subway) and also none of the annoying data stall outs while the phone shows good service.

I see 5 bars regularly outside around NYC which I never had with the previous devices.

It's only been a couple of days but I didn't even set up as new, just restored from the previous phone. I believe there is a hardware issue, I can't chalk up this experience to software at this point.

That's great news! This sounds very promising.
