i had the X for a full 14days from launch...took it back on the 14th day....
i could not get used to the size of the actual phone...so i got the plus again...but now after a few months im kinda tired of lugging this thing around...its a PITA sometimes.

A quarter of an inch and half an ounce makes it "lugging"? haha

Love my 8 Plus too, but yeah sometimes it’s a tad too big. I don’t know what I’ll ever do if it doesn’t fit in one of my pockets.

After using the X for a few weeks now I don't think I could ever go back to a home button having iPhone. The X is great and after a few days (if even that long) you get use to the gestures and faceID.

The form factor is fantastic as well. A 5.8" screen in whats almost the same physical size of an iPhone 6, 7, 8 = Win!

Agree completely, I just couldnt keep with the plus anymore. I do want a bigger screen though but the X is a winner for me.

Walk around in only sweatpants or running pants / shorts. May not be the most fashion savy approach but, it should give you constant peace of mind.
During these winter/cold months, I always wear jeans and the 8 Plus still fits in those pockets alright. It’s the summer and wearing running shorts I’m worried about haha...

My 8 plus was so heavy it would make my running shorts almost fall down!
This is what I’m concerned about in the summer. I usually don’t run with my phone in my pocket anyway. When I go out and about, I’ll just have to be sure to wear khaki shorts!

Yeah me either. But when I run to the store or something I was very careful about either not putting my phone in my pocket or holding my pants up. lol

Not a good idea to put the phone in running shorts. Being a ultra-marathoner, I use a hydration pack on the back, that has storage pockets. I put my phone in one of the pockets inside a sandwich baggie.

You could get a small running belt to store your phone and keys etc, use a Apple Watch, or use an arm band.

I never really had an issue with the plus in any pant pocket. The only difference with the X is I dont take the X out when sitting down as often as i did with the Plus. The little difference in size is more comfortable and I am not worried about my pants "bending" the X as i did with the 6 Plus (which is bending prone which leads to touch disease)

True but I heard with the new glass back, bending the 8 Plus is a non-issue.

I had the 8 Plus, but I took it back for an X, and I love it.

The X IMO feels like what Steve Jobs wanted the 4 to evolve to.

It’s a non issue because glass will shatter and break, where as aluminum can bend. However, the only iPhone that was reported to be bending in the media was the iPhone 6, which used the 6000 series aluminum and Apple change that with the iPhone 6s using the 7000 series aluminum, which is the same aluminum used on the Apple Watch.

since some of you have dumb responses to mine ill just take it that you have never seen the inside of a gym or ride a motorcycle....

the 8+ can be a PITA considering i do this 5 times a week and ride on the weekends.

for running you should buy the Apple watch 3 with LTE

It is a nice advantage with the LTE when you’re running if you didn’t want to miss a phone call or message. But also it’s nice to have your music streaming directly from your Apple Watch to your AirPods. I think that’s one benefit with LTE that eliminates from carrying an iPhone.

I’m not a fan of running outside and listening to music...maybe I’m paranoid that I’ll be oblivious to a drunk driver behind me about to hit me haha!

X because you get the same size screen as the Plus (99%) but you get the smaller footprint of the non-Plus.

I’d go iPhone X. The premium for the X you would make up in resale to Square Trade or similar, yet you would get the better screen.

X, perfect size, best iPhone since original. Otherwise you might as well save some money and go with the 6s Plus or the 7 Plus.

The X definitely is comfortable to hold one handed. The Narrow design just works really well for one handed use.

Face ID is at least 20 times more secure.

The odds of some random person being able to unlock your iPhone X with Face ID is 1 in 1,000,000.
The odds of some random person being able to unlock your iPhone 8 with Touch ID is 1 in 50,000.

Is there an echo in here?

That's exactly what dude said in the keynote so it must be true! At least it was easy enough not to require a calculator!

I gotta tell you man... I'm seriously looking forward to an XI+ this fall... I'm sold on OLED. Just bought an LG 65" and OMG WOW ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The best picture quality I've ever seen on a TV. Period. End of discussion. (For $2600 it should be LOL) The reviews say it's pretty much the best TV money can buy (Sorry Samsung but your QLED still has a backlight) and they weren't kidding.

OLED will be on my next iPhone... as long as it's a Plus size screen.

:)

I’ve considered one of those but I can’t justify the cost just yet. I’ll wait till they come down a bit. They do look amazing though. I’ll take a hard look at the X plus but I’m not sure I want a bigger phone. I’m sure Apple will add some features I want and push me that way though.
