Emailed video - multiples sent in error

A number of times now I have emailed a short video with my iPhone only to have the receiver get up to 26 copies of the video in their inbox. I only press send once. Any idea what is causing this?? And how to fix it.

Long song title truncation

This issue has probably been mentioned before. There is nowhere on the iPod touch or iPhone that long titles can be shown in their entirety, since they do not scroll around on the Now Playing screen as on other models.

I've created a petition about it - it's such a minor feature for Apple to implement, I think it stands a good chance of success:

Home screen suddenly zooms in

If your home screen suddenly zooms in, just do a 3-finger tap or 3-finger double-tap to the screen to zoom it back out. I tried re-booting the phone, as well as, resetting it via iTunes without success. I even called Apple Care, but the "genius" did not know how to fix the problem. I finally came to this forum and found the solution in previous posts from 11/09. Likewise, I saved myself a trip to the "Genius Bar."

i think this problem got mentionend before, but can't seem to find the thread:

When i activate 3G on my iphone 3G, my telephone connection disappears... :(

I think there wasn't a solution except for disabling 3G... So i'm most of the time on EDGE :(

Any solutions?

Cheers and thanks!

Look under accessibility in settings and disable the zoom option.

PLEASE HELP! i have know idea what im doing

I bought an iphone 3g today from a guy on craigslist, it was unlocked and jailbroken. i wanted to use it for t-mobile, i put my sim in and it worked. the guy then said he needed to clear it out so his contacts and everything wouldnt be in there so he took the phone for a minute and handed it back to me and said it would take a few minutes to load up.

It NEVER loaded back up just stayed stuck on the apple screen, when i got home i paniced and call apple. they walked me thru a restore problem is i had to update to restore. once the iphone restored it is now stuck in the restore mode. when it turna on it goes diectly to the screen with the usb plug and and the itunes logo, and says emergency calls only! all i know how to do is hold the power and home button to reboot but it doesnt work.

Is there anyway to fix this???

If so could somebody please walk me thru how to do it i really have know idea what im doing and im panicing because i just spent a pretty penny on this baby......please help
anything is appreciated...im lost

Besides my ringer, none of my sounds work. New text message, new voicemail, new mail, sent mail, calendar alerts, lock sounds and keyboard clicks... none of them work. There was another thread here about text message sounds specifically, but that did not help me. I don't really care that much about keyboard clicks and lock sounds, but I keep missing messages, which is definitely a problem. Any help?

I ran into some other questions when I had a problem with my sound effects
(ringer, ipod, audiobooks, email notifications.etc.) suddenly 'disappeared.' I tried settings, and nothing worked. Then I suddenly remembered that above the volume control there is a very small (and sneaky button). It cannot go up or down - it goes sideways. If you see a red dot, you can move it forward to cover it, which takes it off the 'silent' mode. I had to do this a few times. I tried it with my earphones in and then out. I also, turned my WifI into off mode - as someone else suggested. I don't know what combination fixed it, but you should try that button on the top right side of your Iphone, above the other button that controls the volume of your ringer. I am talking about physically moving it - it isn't a volume control in settings or on the screen. It's easy to miss. I never knew it was even there till I spoke to a rep last week about another problem and mentioned this button. At that time, my phone was not ringing, but everything else was fine. So, tonight, when I could not hear my YouTube videos and everything else, I remembered it.
Try it!

Can't be detected by computer

Hello all,
I have this old piece of iPod, the white long one. I don't know if it is a bug or it just reached its limit because of the age or the experience. The computer can't detect my iPod anymore, I only downloaded music to it thrice. :(

Glad I found this thread; lots of great tips here. I hope my iphone 4 doesn't have any issues like some of these.

Hi@all

One big problem is the network connecting. Many iPhone User has this bug.
I cant still believe, Apple will fix it with a software update. I mean, you still touch your iPhone when you take a call.

What do you think?

Anyway, i think i know why Apple sells his Bumper ;)

Default email account

You cant change which email account you are using to send a reply email (i.e. forwarded email received via .mac can not be replied to using the original email address the sender used.)

If you go into Mail settings, under Always BCC Myself and Signature, there is an option for Default Account for Sent emails.

On the iPhone 4 certain apps, i.e. Sci Fi Reader and CBS Radio don't load. They get to the open screen and the close on their own sending me back to the Home screen. Please help.

Ipod Controls Not Working

Has anyone else reported this? I go in to the iPod app and begin to play a song. Then when I double-click to bring up the multi-tasking and swipe left, the iPod controls are greyed out but the music continues playing. The only way I can use the controls is to open the iPod app again.

Actually, I just tried it with Pandora too and the music controls are greyed out there too.

Looks like the lock screen iPod controls are gone for me too when I double-tap.

A restart of the phone seems to have fixed this issue.

Problem with proximity sensor

I'm having problems with my proximity sensor...when I have the phone up to my ear occasionally my cheek or face presses the 'mute', 'speakerphone' or 'end call' buttons...the proximity sensor should prevent this from ever happening. Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I have had this very same issue happen a few times now.

OS 4 upgrade 3gs - Voice activation

A friend has upgraded 3gs to os 4 and finds his previously well used voice activation system does not work anymore

No passcode timer

I have an iPhone 4 and for some reason there is no changeable time intervals in the passcode settings. The only option I have is immediately. It's so lame. I like having a passcode but can't have it go off and make me type In the code every time I exit out of the phone. I liked having it set to 5 or 10 minutes. My friend has a iPhone 4 and his settings have the different times. I've restored twice with same result...*

I've upgraded my 3GS to iOS4 and now every time I try to add photos to a contact under edit it doesn't work. I choose edit, add photo, and then take photo. The camera comes up and I snap the picture, it asks me to move/scale and confirm, then it just doesn't add it. I CAN open up camera, take a picture, save it, then edit and CHOOSE EXISTING and it works, but...... that's kinda a pain:confused:

3 things for me

1) The other day when I was looking at pics it frozed on a pic but everything else worked normally.

2) Some songs that were louder on my 3gs are lower now.

3) 3gs was faster to start up

I have been having two main issues with my iPhone3GS since I updated to IOS4.

1. Random restarts: I'll be listening to music or on a phone call and suddenly I can't hear anything, When I look down I see the Apple logo and the phone goes into restart mode.

2. Battery drains dramatically faster. I would love to know why this is. I find myself constantly having to monitor what is open and closing everything every time I touch my phone to try and conserve battery but even that does not seem to help. I'm not sure if this is due to the new multitasking issue but I feel like it must be. Is there a way to turn multitasking off?

Is anyone else experiencing these issues?
