iPhone Bugs

No volume controls in silent mode after launching Fring or Skype

I'm not sure if this is a bug or what. I've search the forums and only found this. http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=659433

When launching Fring or Skype while in silent mode the volume controls stop working completely, even after setting the app to the background. The volume controls start working till I completely kill the app from the task. Had a friend download Fring to his Iphone 4 and same issue.

Hi guys i've been trying to update my iphone to the new software ( iOS4 ) ( sorry i cant remember the name off by heart ) and it got to the end of the update and an error occured , and my iphone 3G froze up on the " attach to itunes " screen ... so i unplugged it thinking it would unfreeze it but it didn't , now my iphone has frozen on that same screen , it wont reboot manually ( hold down snooze and home button ) and itunes won't recognize it when i plug it in and to add to it all , it turn itself off after about 45 seconds ... i honestly dont know what to do ... any pointers would be much appreciated

My biggest bug and it drives me nuts daily, is whenever I have multiple app's running and go to close them all out my phone always freezes when I start deleting them. I go and start clicking the X to delete them and it freezes everyday so usually I end up having to do a hard reset to get it back, very annoying. Also when I am talking on the phone I am constantly pressing buttons so it is beeping never had either of these issues with my 3GS
 
Replying an email shuts down the email app.

Iphone 3gs running ios4.0.1

Whenever i try to reply an email, the email app just shutdown as soon as i touch the reply icon.
 
iPhone 3G (OS4) randomly deleting emails from server

Randomly my iphone 3G (OS4) will delete a days worth of emails from the server, when it has been instructed to leave emails on the server.

So it means that when I log online on my laptop to pulldown my emails, they no longer exist for the particular day the iPhone removed them on.

But the weird thing is - the emails from the day in question will stay on my iPhone, until I log into my laptop access my mail. And then the emails suddenly no longer appear on the iPhone either, and cannot be found in the trash.

Has anybody else experienced this? I am losing some important work emails.
 
Bluetooth

Don't know if this is a real bug but my BT sometimes has difficulty connecting with my car, and have had dropped connex as well. Cannot confirm but I also suspect that, when coming out of Airplane Mode, the BT module and/or stack locks up causing the phone to heat up and power dissipation to go thru the roof. Normal battery life crashes; have to force off the phone and restart to reset.

Hope this gets addressed

I also hate this glitch. When will it get fixed??!!!!
 
iphone4 bluetooth connection problems

My 3G had no problems connecting to my car speakerphone via bluetooth.

Bought iphone4, connects then disconnects after 5 seconds.
Exchanged it for another iphone4 - same problem.
Also with iMac, pairs, connects then disconnects.
Any ideas?
 
Cannot sync iPhone and iPhoto

Once I downloaded 4.1, I could no longer get any photos from i Photo to export to my iPhone 4. I keep getting an error message that the file does not exist.

Any ideas?
 
Memory issues

Hi All,

I have created one iPad application. I have tested the application in simulator. I did not get any error message and it didn't crash.
But when i try to test with iPad device, I am getting below message;

iTV app is bugged

This issue happened to my friend and her boyfriend a week ago. When it happened to me today, we realized what caused it. iTV! :mad::mad::mad:


The second you open it, there is some issue/script/whatever that won't stop processing. It causes the battery to last for only like 2 hours, and the phone gets hot like it's constantly streaming something over 3G. My friend updated her phone to the new iOS 4 updates and it carried the problem over with the new update.

The only way to fix it is to restore :( I deleted the app from the phone but I think it did something to iOS because it still is processing the bugged script over and over and over, killing the battery. Thanks iTV! You are such a PINA and were never really that great to begin with!! :mad:

EDIT: I must add that I did not restart my phone after uninstalling iTV. After uninstalling it and rebooting the phone, the problem is gone! I've been at 100% since 10:00 today :)
 
Bugs Bugs And More Bugs

I am starting to be very annoyed and disappointed from my iphone 4

first few bugs were just apps crashing all the time i got that resolved after apple replaced my device
than the battery was only keeping the charge for 2-3 hours on stand by and than the device will just become a block !

this morning i woke up to find out my device is completely dead would not response to any operation - touch power button home key just nothing !!!!
i called apple and there first respond was before i even let them know what the issue is that my support for this device is expired ! i only had the device for 49 days !!!!

after that i got to a supervisor name Cory who was very nice BUT he explained me that in order to keep the device working properly and prevent this from happening again he suggested ** 1): NOT to charge the phone before it reaches 5-10% since the phone 4 has a known BUG with the charging procedure !!!!!
**2): the phone need a breather and im quoting APPLE ! the device need to be shut off for minimum 2 hours a week and left off !!!!!!!
**3): multitasking does not work correctly yet and i will need everyday to close all apps and restart when have a chance !!!!

after getting all this new information i decided that i do not have the time to babysit this device and there are to many BUGS !!!!

I GUESS THAT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A COMPANY DECIDE THAT SELLING QUANTITY IS MORE IMPOTENT THAN QUALITY !!!

not to mention that yesterday i bought a brand new ipod touch for my wife and after spending 3 hours over the phone with apple care they told me that i have a BAD unit in my hand !!! ( the device would not recognize any itunes on 3 different machines one is a mac )

sms issue

I have an iPhone 4. On a regular basis mine as well as others i4's have an issue with the sms app. When I have gone into reply, the address bar is blank, and theres no way to see who it's from or back up to your message list. I have to exit out completely, go into my contacts, select one and opt to text. then the app resets and works fine. Anyone else have this problem? I've informed Apple store reps repeatedly to no avail. Please help!
 
Problems with Iphone 4 closing Itunes and SMS set up

Don't get me wrong, I am enamoured of my I4 but it has started to annoy me mildly. I have two issues:

1) I recently updated my puter and phone with the latest Apple ITunes release and very recently (couple of days ago) when I attached my phone to the m/c to back up and synch I got the message 'ITunes has quit unexpectedly' and was asked if I wished to ignore, report or restart - I chose to report and hoped I would get some kind of response - zilch! So, has anyone else experienced this problem and if so how did you fix it?

2) Whenever I get an SMS I am asked to set up the Voicemail function, submit a password, confirm it and then what kind of welcome message I wish to use. Is this an ongoing bug? If not how do I get round it.

Try 'Cosmopod' too, I've used it for about 18 months and it really is good. As yet I've not forund anything to work with IPlayer (BBC) or the equivalents on ITV, Channel 4 and 5.
 
Existing application will missing???

Hi all,

will the exisiting application or games missing after jailbreak???please advice....
 
Think I've figured this out

Used the iphone as an ipod for the first time yesterday, and noticed all the sounds dissapeared when I was in the office. Did a reset and it was ok.

Happened again this morning.

I can repeat and resolve the problem. If you remove the headphones whilst the iphone is sleeping (ipod in background) then the phone doesn't recognise that you've taken the headphones out and remains in that mode.

Take the phone out of sleep mode and insert and remove the headphones and the phone reverts back to normal.
 
Iphone 3g Messages (-1)

Hi I have a iphone 3g unlocked to 4.0.1 software. My messages show up as Messages (-1) and I can not send messages and if I do it just shut messages down. I have re jailbroke and unlocked my iphone with no sucess of fixing this problem. Any one have any ideas
 
Every time my signal drops to nothing, I get a red disc with no number in it next to Voicemail, and it asks me to set up VV again. Most times there is not even a message there, but why won't the phone remember my damned password? :mad:
