iPhone Bugs

I'm seeing this recurring bug when I go into network settings and turn off/on 3G, then quickly press the home button, my setting won't stick. Instead I have to go up a level in the settings before pressing the home button.

I've also been having many of the standard apps (SMS, email, calendar,...) crash and quit as soon as I open them since upgrading to 4.1, but I suspect it's due to another app not playing nice with multitasking.
 
I've been waiting and waiting for that to be fixed but for the past 2 years apple seem to be unaware of the following bug. When you turn off bluetooth, it won't send the proper information to the paired bluetooth device that it's being disconnected. The result is that your device won't realise that it's been disconnected! I've been getting this on my car's bluetooth functions that I use also other phones paired to it (I can pair up to 3 different phones). All other phones when they disconnect they send a signal to the handsfree and it turns into search mode and pairs with the next available device. When the iphone disconnects I need to turn off and on my car for the searching to begin. Seems that only iphone works like that cause nokia and other brands work fine.

hi, ive recently replaced the back cover on my iphone 3GS. once i finally finished replacing it the software update came out, so i upgraded to the 4.1 OS. once this was done i found that my iphone turns itself off every now and then. Now i dont know whether its a hardware issue - battery or whether its the software that didnt work propperly. any comments will be greatly appreciated.

In my contacts two different numbers were put under one person so I ended up texting my school friend when trying to text my mum
 
image rotation problem

i have a problem with the image rotation in iphone4..it happens when i delete all photos in "camera roll" folder..after that, all images in photo library can't be rotated..i've restarted and restored my iphone,it does solve the problem..but when i do the same thing again with delete all photos in "camera roll" folder the same problem happens again..

does anybody encounter the same problem as me??any solution??

Curiously, the Daylight savings alarm bug vanished for me this morning, so my repeating 8.15 alarm went off at the correct time and not 7.15 as I'd expected. November 7, just as Apple stated. I'm in Melbourne, Australia.

Has anybody else experienced this?

I got an iPhone on Monday and had to exchange it yesterday cause of the camera issue..... (big blue/green blob in the centre, the picture is totally discoloured).

Got it exchanged yesterday to end up with another phone with the EXACT same problem!!

So unfortunate, frustrating and irritating.

Going to have to way for another 32GB to show up at the store I got it from and exchange it. Hopefully the 3rd one is a charm!
 
Authorizing Problems?

I am having my iPhone for the first time (iPhone) and it is really frustrating to have problems with authority because I want to transfer everything to iTunes so updating won't affect my Jailbreak (that is what my friend told me). anyway, I've tried EVERYTHING to do it.

it seems like this guy found a way to solve it after he had same problems:

so I've tried all over again and again his methods and every method I've heard and read and nothing works !!

Did you try this?

Login to your iTunes account on the other computer and then click Store >> Authorize computer from the top drop down menus. This will get the computer authorized.
 
Just got a Iphone 4, had it for about 3 days.

the Back arrow button while listening to music is unresponsive (the button on the top left, looks like an arrow) have to restart phone. has happend twice

the Home button doesn't work and I have to restart the phone to get it working. has happend 3 times

or while starting Safari, none of the buttons at the bottom work. has happend once, had to restart again.

...is this normal? its my first iphone
 
Battery life

Sometimes at random my battery life will go from being nearly fully charged green to red and than shuts down. Is there a software update to fix this problem?
 
bluetooth low voice

helloin my 3G 3.1.3 i listen the other person via bluetooth headset very well but all other people listen me very hardly and low voice...

can i fix it ?

Problem with Text Messages in 4.2

Not sure if anyone else is having the same problem yet, but I'm having issues when I'm in my Messages screen. On several occasions, the keyboard does not autohide when I'm looking at my list of messages, and occasionally the type bar stays in the middle of the screen while looking at messages. Can anyone share any light on this? It's kind of annoying :)
 
One way to test if you have text message problem

This is one way that it does come up. Open a message, then tap on the type bar so the keyboard comes up, then tap on 'Messages' up the top to go back to list of messages and see if your keyboard hides or not. Mine doesn't, and sometimes it does but the type bar stays in the middle.
 
An iPhone bug already seen when Australia switched between Daylight Savings Time and Standard Time a few weeks ago has now hit Europe. Twitter just lit up with reports of recurring iPhone alarms going off an hour later than usual. So even though the iOS clock changed correctly over the weekend, the alarm did not. Thing is, according to a ZDNet Australia report from more than three weeks ago, Apple acknowledged the bug with a promise to fix it with a software update. So why wasn't it rolled out in time to avoid this mess in Europe? Let's see if Apple fixes it before North America makes the switch on November 7th, otherwise, you've been warned.
 
Iphone 4 Compass + Gyroscope not working!

Hi ppl, does anyone have any issues with their compass or gyroscope on their iphone 4?
When I was on 4.1 my compass worked normally but my gyroscope wasn't. When I installed gyroscope apps they don't work :S
When I upgraded to 4.2.1 instead of solving the gyro problems it made the compass app get stuck on 0 degrees :S:S

I tried resetting and restoring to factory settings but still no good. Can anyone offer any help or advice?

favorites in call issue

the iphone 4 (4.2.1) of my wife has a problem with the favorites list.

She add few contact as favorites but when she want to call them, it's not working as expected.

when she's trying to call the 1st contact in the list, the iphone screen turn black and it's the same with the second contact.
when she's trying to call the 3rd contact, instead of calling the right contact, it's the number of the 1st of the list that's dialed.
When she choose 4th contact, it's the second one in the list that is dialed...
and then it keeps doing the same schema.

we tried to reboot iphone, clean favorites list completely and recreate it, it's always the same result.

Anyone see that before?

Calls problem (phone) .. iPhone 4

I have had an issue during calls that when I am in a call, there is an annoying sound that annoys me and receiver. After less than a minute, receiver cannot hear me at all. Even if I am using headphone, it's the same thing happen

I thought it is from microphone, but I have tried recording my voice, Skype calling, Whistle calling, and listening to music.
it's working so well.

What do I have to do?
 
cannot use th WiFi

hi... I can't connect to WiFi and when i checked the Search Domain it said: domain_not_set_invalid, and also DNS is showing two different IP Addresses. :confused:

I tried to transfer to other WiFi network but it doesn't show the values for the respective parameters like: IP Address, Subnet Mask, etc. :confused:

iPhone 4 camera won't open

Seriously annoying now because my camera is really erratic it will sometimes open and sometimes just not. Its only the main back camera that I have a problem with, as it just gets stuck on the loading screen, and normally will just stay like that but somethings after a couple of minutes on the loading screen will come on.

Anyone offer any advice? I've updated to 4.2.1 and everything :(

iPhone 4 voice calling

Hi,

I have had my iPhone a could of days now and most of the time when calling I have found that there is just a crackling sound when the other person speaks although they can here me. The only way I have been able to get around this is by using speaker phone. Is this an iPhone issue or my specific phone?

It's my understanding that every iPhone 4 has this issue. It has something to do with the lens of the camera and (usually) florescent lighting, such as the kind you would see in an office setting or when you use a energy efficient CFL bulb at home. As far as I've heard, there's no real way to get around this, but I won't argue with the fact that's it's very annoying and unfortunate for an otherwise excellent cellphone camera.
