Well, update: as of this morning, about an hour and a half ago, it was in Shanghai. Then I got the email about an hour ago that it may be delayed. Now the flag on the item has changed from a yellow "Exception" to a green "In Transit" and it's now in Incheon, South Korea. I expect that part of the information backlog has to do with getting out of the host country.

In other news, I'm deciding what to name the device (not that I refer to my devices by name, just that it has a name on the network, just like all devices). Traditionally, my devices are named for Lost characters. But I've gone through a lot of them now, and I'm running out of names. I was considering, "Not Penny's Phone".

EDIT: Oh! Since I'm putting a baseball case on it, I should do some kind of baseball reference. "Not Brad Penny's Phone"! Or "Not Piniella's Phone" lol.

Mine also showed the message about possible delay but it disappeared once it scanned into the US (Alaska). So maybe it’s just a system thing.

I now get an error when going to my apple order page

Just occurred to me that it sounds odd that on Package Progress, it shows "Origin Scan" on mine coming a day earlier than "Order Processed: Ready for UPS". Now I know some might say that it's just the nomenclature and nothing is amiss. But the way I see it, there are three likelier possibilities:

(1) Recent events have caused spontaneous creation of tachyon particles, causing fluctuations in the local timeline.
(2) Foxconn workers are actually four-dimensional beings.
(3) Tim Cook is a Time Lord.

Mine was in Louisville 9 hours ago, now it's back in Osaka. This tracking info is all screwy. Fun fact, UPS never sent me a "your package is on the way" email. Instead, they sent a "your package will be delayed" email as soon as Apple created the shipping label.

Yes, there is an intermittent issue with the Apple Store, both from the app and the website. Orders page unreachable.

Yea Apple Store was weird. My current phone is fully paid. The Apple Store let me pick installments, but then it changed to full retail. Then when I decided to just pay it in full, it errored out. Was anyone ordering through VZW not able to do installments either. There it didn't give me installments as a choice at all even though it shows paid off and upgrade eligible. But at least I could finish the order. I think it said next Thursday unless it was this. Can't get into the site now and can't get to personal email at work. When I log in it just spins forever. Is anyone else having issues getting to the VZW site?

Mine was also in Louisville [10 hours ago -- arrival]. Then 'departed' from Shanghai, 'arrived' and 'departed' yet again from Incheon.

I have yet to receive any 'shipping' email from either Apple, or UPS, just plugged in my phone number to track by reference. My card was charged yesterday, though.

Don't expect any movement until late tomorrow (Thursday). AT&T receives their new launch iPhones in bulk orders. They should arrive tomorrow and be broken down, sorted, and packaged for overnight delivery to you for Friday, April 24.

Emails from AT&T with shipping information should start going out about 4-6 PM tomorrow Central time.

Well I'm now waiting for two orders, both due Friday. Two SE's and an 11 as I have to compare them for myself to decide which one I want. Neither have shipped yet.
 
Aha! UPS has it with a departure scan from Incheon now, and lists it as in transit and on time. So far, the progression has seemed appropriate unlike the meanderings shared by some.

I am using the Apple Store App on my iPhone and status still shows Preparing for Shipment.
 
VZW Account Maintenance working again. Ordered 64GB Red around 3AM today, and ETA is Thu Apr 30.

I tried to order around 3AM Eastern, and was having all kinds of issues. It let me pick installments but then changed to full retail. Just decided to do that, and then the page errored out. VZW Site didn't even offer installments, but at least I was able to complete the order. And they are waiving upgrade fees, so didn't matter that I ordered there, except that I need to enroll in AC+ once it arrives.

Mine too, if you have UPS app, they now have a nice feature called Follow My Delivery, that shows you a map and where the UPS truck is on the map when your item is out for delivery. 😃
 
got the UPS mychoice notification super early this morning. Louisville is the current location (Live in Atlanta). That is always the location my iPhone preorders come from.

I do, I pay for Premium, but I only get “follow my delivery” for maybe 25% of my orders 🤔 I did get it for my last Apple order though so hopefully I will for this one. I will probably redeem my last 2 hour window choice on it too 😬

Well at least some of you have shipping notifications! Mine says Apr 24th delivery but still preparing to ship. Typically I wouldn't worry with Apple, but COVID has both delayed and beat estimates by a day or two. So we'll see.

E: oh track by reference shows mine in KY :)
