Well at least some of you have shipping notifications! Mine says Apr 24th delivery but still preparing to ship. Typically I wouldn't worry with Apple, but COVID has both delayed and beat estimates by a day or two. So we'll see.

It says the same thing for me on the Apple website, but if you check on UPS via Track by Reference (your phone number), you’ll be able to see the current shipment.

Suuper wonky tracking for me too (as well as still showing Preparing to Ship on Apple's site) but I'm pretty confident (and excited) it'll be arriving Friday :)

I preordered through Sprint.. I got a shipment email but the tracking has said "shipment ready for UPS" for two days. Label created in United States. No movement.

I ordered my iPhone SE the very second pre-ordering began. It has always said it will arrive Friday April 24. I still have not received any shipping notification. I'm not at all hopeful I will get it on Friday. I ordered a new Mac mini 2 days before I ordered the iPhone. The Mac mini shipped on the 17th, and was stuck in Alaska for 2 days due to a clearance delay (likely COVID-19 reasons). It has been at our local FedEx facility since early Tuesday and they won't deliver it for another 2 days. They won't even let me pick it up.

I ordered from Apple. The status has been "Preparing for shipment" since Saturday the 18th.

bheathain is correct. The timestamps in China are local time. They are accurate, and the packages are not flying back and forth. They're just crossing the international dateline.

My biggest delay will be the #@9()*@# float driver, if our regular UPS driver is off Friday. He apparently cannot figure out how to deliver to the correct part of the building.

This means that Sprint has not actually received their bulk order from Apple. All the major carriers will receive their initial shipments of iPhone SE units tomorrow (Thursday), each carrier will package for individual shipment to customers and ship overnight for Friday delivery for the initial orders.

I had no luck using the reference number trick. However, I do have UPS My Choice. If you go to Tracking and then Manage Home Deliveries it takes you to a calendar showing upcoming deliveries. It was there and with the link I could see all the details, including tracking number. Apple still shows "preparing to ship".

Well thinking of avoid unnecessary contact... I wonder if it's common to pre-authorize the shipment release on UPS MyChoice?

I wouldn’t do that. You would be giving up your rights doing that. Wear a covering over your face at delivery and you should be fine. Make sure to look over the outside of the box for damage, before accepting.
