just downloaded the app today, man this is an awesome app! i've tried a couple of the other free to do apps and nothing comes close! this feel like a $9.99 app! i'm glad that the developer is out on this forum listening to ideas that users have to improve the app!

one little quirk i have is the startup page. anyway you can just have it start straight into the program rather than showing a "loading" screen?? it's no big deal, but just a thought.

Email Issue

Hi All/Craig:

I've been stalking this thread, but hadn't seen this particular issue mentioned yet. One of the great features of this app is the ability to "export" the task list to an email address. When I attempt this, the "send email with tasks" button just turns blue but fails to launch the mail application.

I've tried reinstalling the app once, and it fixed it for a few days, but its back now. Any ideas/similar experiences?

I just got one of the new 2G iPod touches and a homework/to do manager is something I definitely need. I really really like iProcrastinate and I want to use it but it seems to crash a lot for me (by crash I mean it stops running and goes back to the home screen). Does anyone else have this problem? It's happened a couple times in other apps but mostly in iProcrastinate and usually while I'm adding a new task.

Craig, what's up with 1.2 and syncing?

Hey guys,
I spoke to Craig a few days back. College has him under a pile of work and he's working on the app as much as he can. He'll post here when he has news for us I'm sure. Craig is a full time student and iProcrastinate is a hobby app, he's not a professional dev (yet!), so we must all be patient.

I'd like to suggest renaming the application "Integrity". It is a much more empowering name then "IProcrastinate". Thanks for your commitment to this amazing application, I look forward to the update!

Why 'Integrity'? It's empowering, but I can't see its relevance?
I think something clear like 'iTask' would be a better name, as it keeps the applications focus open.

I don't care what the app is called, I just want syncing!!!! Ha

Question to the developer: given all of the interest that has been generated by your app, are you ever annoyed you didn't charge anything for it? Even the lowest price of £0.59/$0.99?

I know that would certainly bug me, but then again I'm probably just a horrible money hungry pig. :)

The most important feature for someone like me is just what Zenbe has. An online version of their software that can be accessed via any web browser. I'm a student also, and it is nice to be able to check off my work done from the library computer just seconds after I finish it. Even with the proposed, syncing between iProcrastinate for Mac and iProcrastinate for iPhone, this feature won't be there because I will need my computer with iProcrastinate on to do anything. So, all this is just garbage talk without anything to back it up. Since I think your program is phenomenal, but still a little short-featured, I offer you this. Get online synchronization with a browser-based version of iProcrastinate, and I will pay you more than what Zenbe costs.

No, you can use the program on your iPhone without using it on your Mac. Online browsers access is pointless. Wifi syncing is much more convenient and keeps the users info private. If it's a trade off between privacy and simply having to pick up my phone to check off a task, I'll take the second option please.

Wi-Fi syncing is coming. But to make a name change on the home screen would be tiny (hell, it's already called 'Tasks').

Meeee to. :D

I've thought about it, and I've crunched the numbers (based on the fact that 4% of free downloaders would have purchased it), and had I sold it for $2.99 or whatever else, I wouldn't be in college anymore. That said, I'd like to thank the free-ness for furthering my education. ;)

Pile of work is an understatement! :D I'm working as fast as I can, but there are so many things to figure out, it might be a little bit. :)

I'm willing to wait. Take your time, do it right, and do yourself a favor and throw a dollar price tag on it. I know you want it to be free, but it's been free for this long. Anyone not willing to support you with a dollar just shouldn't upgrade to the version capable of syncing. Otherwise, I'll have to go through the tedious process of going over to paypal to donate because you've been too awesome thus far to not deserve some form of compensation for all your work.

I agree totally, and have a lot of respect for you as a fellow developer. Essentially having apps on the store with a decent amount of downloads is excellent CV material regardless of whether they're paid for or free!

I'm charging for my apps as I'm no longer a student and need some extra cash to pay for my rent and bills and stuff :( Maybe I'll release something free sometime. Maybe. ;)

You would be dumb to deliver a syncing upgrade for free.

Keep iProcrastinate Lite like it is, add Syncing for the full version, for $1.99 or $2.99 or whatever. I'd pay it.

I think dumb is a little harsh of a description. He has his reasons either way, but I think it would be beneficial or worthwhile to charge a small fee for the sync version, but I wouldn't presume to call the developer dumb for not wanting to charge his users.

ditto. But I'm wondering what happened to 1.2 which a couple of weeks ago you said was ready.
