Wondering why some units have then and some don’t. Yesterday when i returned my pro at apple they said it’s mostly the regular pro and there was quiet a line. Picked up a plus for now -
oh no MacBook Air all over again :)

"We don't need to know about it?"

Isn't that why we are here? To talk about Apple stuff?

Yeah, until Apple posts a fix to address heat problems that don't exist.

As for the "vast majority"...until Apple posts a fix to address the heat issues that don't exist.
They will schedule that fix announcement October 9th most likely.

I have a 15 and it gets hot also with simple stuff. I’m just using Tapatalk now and it gets really hot. This is not normal. Didn’t happen with my 12.

I've played with all the phones now for some time. I think the best value is the 14 Plus. Of the large screen phones, it feels the best and works great. The 15 Plus feels fatter and no faster.

Yet people still rave about Apple build quality. I've never had a Samsung phone or tablet have any flaw whatsoever. No dust behind the screen or camera. No blue or yellow displays. No dead pixels. No loose buttons. Just perfect build and QC every time.

Lucky you. I’ve had a couple over the years and still have nightmares about dealing with their ‘service’.

Nope. I absolutely hated the weight, form factor, and smudginess of my graphite 13 Pro. Also wasn’t impressed with the camera system at all, and the battery was terrible.

Loving my 15 Pro in comparison. The slight reduction in width and increase in thickness is more noticeable than I thought, but in the best way possible, and the weight is perfect to me. Best feeling naked phone since 8 IMO. I don’t think fingerprints are that bad on the black titanium either. Getting great shots on the main camera, still not overly impressed with the telephoto. Runs way cooler than the 13 Pro too.

I hoped on here to see if anyone was saying the same. I might return my 15 Pro and go back to the 14 Pro. I think Natural titanium is beautiful but I use a case... My battery life is virtually the same as it was on the 14 Pro. Camera is pretty much the same. The action button feels satisfying to press/have but, really, how much do you use it? The black finish on my 14 Pro keeps speaking to me.I think I might just return it and maybe get the 15 again if they release a new color mid cycle. Always been jealous of that. Either way, it will probably feel like a treat if I upgrade with next years.

I’m on day 4 of having my iPhone 15 Pro and I love this thing. I upgraded from a 12 Pro. I love the screen and form factor. I’m at 54% battery after using it all day. No heat problems. It works well.

I returned my 15 Pro with AT&T , saw that Verizon had a 15 Pro Max , went ahead and got that. They have way better service in these parts.

In the end I have returned my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The build quality was not up to scratch: the back glass was not sitting flush with the titanium rails leading to a sharp feel in hand. I decided just to carry on with my current iPhone 14 Pro vs an exchange as I couldn’t see any noticeable improvements in speed, camera quality or the like.

The 5x zoom pictures were disappointing also.

I am having second thoughts and was curious if anyone else is having remorse for upgrading. The phone is beautiful and the updates are nice I am just not sure if it is worth it coming from an 14PM after using it for the last 4 days.
personally, I'd never want to go back to that 14PM brick ... that's me.

In short, only you can decide if it's worth it to you. I would ask myself the following: Does it make sense 1. financially and 2. functionally (is your life better as a result)?

In my opinion, it isn't too much of an upgrade over the 14P/PM but it's a no-brainer over the 11P/PM or older. I can't comment on 12 and 13 gens.

MKBHD, I think, did a great job reviewing and comparing it to the 14P/PM:

If you don't want to watch the whole review, he gives his final verdict at the 23:50 mark. Spoiler: He thinks USB-C is the biggest upgrade.

Geekerwan's review was also great, though more technical in case you're interested in the SoC performance:

His gives his final verdict at the 21:07 mark. Spoiler: He's disappointed with 3nm given all the hype.

And here's Max Tech doing a full head to head with the 14P/PM:

I am sad to say, but I am close to hitting the return button. I came from a 12 Pro to a 15 Pro. Yes, the battery is better than my 3 year old 12, but that's obvious. And the camera is better, but I really do not feel much of a change using this compared to my 12. Still on the fence and within the return window, but I am thinking I might splurge on a new battery for my 12 and sit it out like many are until the 16 :-/
Returned. I just kept looking at the 12 Pro and the 15 Pro I had just spent $1.700 side by side and decided to wait it out until the 16 Pro/Ultra, whatever they will call it. Plus I am returning all those stupid cases I tried out. And the USB to USB-C cables I bought.

Also, even though it did overheat, I am sure that it's just a software glitch that will be resolved. It's not the reason I'm returning it...

I decided to return mine, not because I didn’t like it but because I realized I don’t need it, my 14 Pro Max is awesome and I let myself get drawn in by marketing. I felt relieved when I returned it and went back to using my 14 Pro Max. I don’t need to get a new phone that quick lol.

I returned the 15 Pro Max. I really love the phone but had serious problems with iOS 17 which I tried for a week to fix but couldn’t.

I’ll repurchase the phone in a few months when the software has had enough time to get in better shape.

It’s a worthy upgrade for me, just don’t have the time to spend troubleshooting an expensive new product (2 young kids to look after, busy lifestyle).

Looking forward to getting it again and having a great experience as opposed to the terrible one I just had.

You can read about my experience here: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...so-many-issues-its-like-a-beta-phone.2405446/
