You're one-phone volume sales still doesn't mean anything. And again, its not just the Pro Max having problems.
Please list all the apparent problems each model iPhone is having. I’ve heard of some Pro models (blue) having finish defects, some Pro models having heating issues. Battery complaints aren’t a defect. What else is there?

Poor cellular reception. All colors having finish defects. Easily scratched.

Sorry, but a few ranters on forums doesn’t equal widespread production problems. Easily scratched isn’t a defect. It’s the finish Apple selected for the titanium. And it’s probably why they didn’t add black to the watch ultra 2 since it is more susceptible to being scratched given it’s a sport watch.

I have had some 2nd thoughts, upgraded from my current 6S Plus. But having to have bought a TON of new C cables, a C cable Y adapter to 3.5mm for headphone and to charge at the same time, a plethora of regular C to 3.5mm, and 3'/6' C cables and all new c 20w blocks and charging pads has made me think twice.

Plug in the USB C Y adapter to 3.5mm and C for the car, so I can charge and talk on the phone with my wired earbuds feels odd with so many adapter and cables. Yes I know all about the $200 or so blue tooth EarPods that you have to have BT on using up more batter and also charging them all the time and route I do NOT want to with. in 15 years I have never ever had any issues with apples wired earbuds

I returned the 15 Pro today because the phone was randomly crashing or freezing or self reboot a bunch of times in the last three days. It’s a lemon! It even came with a dead battery out of the box.

I do love the hand feel and aesthetics of the phone. Coming from 12 Pro it is a bit of an improvement for me. I particularly liked the improved speaker quality
Getting what now ?

You don't have to buy Apple's overpriced and underwhelming accessories. There are plenty of good quality cables that won't set you back a fortune and as for BT earphones, I just don't understand why anyone would shell out $150+ for Apple's mediocre offerings when any $15 set from Amazon/AliExpress are just as good.

I have a 6s and it doesn't cut it any more. Even the 8s I was given is on its last legs and the battery life is a disgrace. I switched to Android and speed/feature wise, it's a wash these days. The iPhone might have a more powerful processor but it's not going to make your phone calls faster or cheaper nor the internet faster when the nearest phone mast is your bottleneck. You were going to have get those USB-C cables sooner or later since Apple is about the last vendor to adopt it for its phones after having switched to it long ago for its computers.

Not "just a few" and enough for national news to be picking up on it. And yes, easily scratched is a defect, as previous iPhones were not as bad as what is being reported.

No wonders others think Apple is a cult. You know, you can like Apple stuff, but still criticize it once in a while.

I'm keeping it, due to the little stuff. Like live voicemail transcribing, which I just saw in action and its cool as bleep.

I think there is a good chance Apple can sort out the heat problem, or at least minimize it enough to not be a major factor. And the scratching issues (for me at least), a case takes care of.

Coming from 13pro - I've been debating returning the Pro Max.
I do like almost every aspect over my 13pro except maybe the largeness of the max, but honestly my 13pro was still working perfectly fine. Doesn't feel like I NEED it, but WANT it. So might just wait until the 16 when NEED/WANT combine.

Good God man, that pack is gigantic.
It is & when connected to the 13 PM, it’s fair to say that they pack a bit of weight but, you get used to it. It’s tight on entry & exit however, I can fit it and the phone in the pocket on my jeans.

I thought it was totally worth it and so does my husband. The displays on both of our phones look crisper and clearer than our 14PM displays. I thought the camera worked better in low light portraits and had better color in the few photos I was able to take so far. I love the lighter feel, too. Battery life was improved, as well,at least in the Pro Max.

Unfortunately I have to return mine because the display gives me eye fatigue and headaches. But I'm a rare case and this isn't an issue for most people. If it weren't for this, I'd happily keep it. I think it's fantastic and I envy everyone who is able to keep theirs.
if you get eye fatigue and headaches from ther display and you had a 14pro max before this would you not get them from that since its The exact same oled display? I’ve only ever seen that complaint from LCD users switching to OLED.

I'm hoping Apple addresses the back glass and heating issue in the following month or so, the latter presumably with iOS updates or changes to its material because I'm kind of planning to get one simply because I saved enough money for one, and it'll just feel like I got a fragile phone that feels like it's been left in the microwave for a second and suddenly more hot than a TV dinner meal

I'm curious. Is there anyone else who has a 15 who aren't reporting either of the issues or simply reporting the phone heating up, but not to where it feels like it's been left out in the sun

It’s actually trial and error and luck of the draw for me and some others. Like my first S22 Ultra—migraine. Second one worked great for me.

And there are subtle differences not just between different years but different models and even different phones of the same model. It’s more than the specs.

Even looking at my husband’s same exact model of 15 Pro Max vs mine there were aesthetic differences and they felt different to me in terms of eye fatigue. It’s possible I could just take my husband’s phone and be all right with it. But I am not going to do that. He loves his phone! And I’m not going to try another 15 Pro Max because i think it’s just too risky on different fronts.

What I’m relying on is a series of measurements a dude made of different flicker rates among the different models. I did try my daughter’s 15 and felt much better on it than I did my own 15 Pro Max. So I will try that or the 15 Plus. But I did cancel my order for a 15 and will go see some in person at the store.

There’s nothing wrong with the finish on my black titanium Series 5 Apple Watch Edition. Bought at Apple Garosugil, Seoul, in December 2019 & it’s still flawless.

I like my 15 pro in natural titanium minus one thing. I am concered about the battery life. It doesn't seem that impressive. I'm not doing anything different with my phone, screen time today for instance is 2h 6 minutes 54m of idle and the battery is at 62 percent atm. I am coming from an 11 with a degraded battery, but the pro seems to drain awfully quick. Hopefully there is a fix soon.

Probably going to be an iOS update to downclock the CPU, which would suck. For the weekend I tried out a iPhone 15PM, I did not experience any heat issues but I'm not a power user.

I'm largely fine with that if it means the 15 won't feel like a literal hot potato but then again, I'm coming from the XR after four or so years and switching over soon so anything would feel like an improvement. I hyped myself up for the 15 waiting one year after the 14 and it feels like these issues are making me reconsider getting a downgrade to the 15 or 15 plus or waiting until Apple announces something

If you’ve been on the forum long enough, you’ve surely seen me criticize Apple. But the onslaught of “iPhone 15 this and that” with the threads about disappointment get tiring. Don’t like it, return it. We don’t need to know about it, and you (not you in particular) don’t need validation about your disappointment. I think the 15 Pro Max is a wonderful upgrade depending on what you want. For many people complaining here, they don’t think the new iPhone is worth it, and they have a 14 Pro or Pro Max. Well duh, of course it’s not a big change. And for the vast majority of us, our phones aren’t defective, aren’t overheating, aren’t slow with connection, and are enjoyable to use.

Would really stink if in the process of software fixing the heat issue that it would make it less powerful than the chip in the non pro.
