I bet Apple engineering knows exactly what is causing the cellular connectivity problems with some devices and customers. It’s probably a bigger issue for them than a software update is able to fix. So rather than admit and open a can of worms, they will stay quiet and wait until the complainers quiet down. Most consumers of the phones probably have no issues as many have posted on here.

Even if it's fixable, they wont address it until they release an update. The iPhone 7 originally had connectivity problems on Verizon, and Apple silently rolled out an update to fix it weeks later.

Past history shows if Apple has a solution, they will come out and acknowledge the issue.. then be the champion.

If Apple does not have a solution, they will say nothing publicly and even tell people that bring them the issue they “haven’t heard of this issue from anyone else..”

I had this happen yesterday. I was outside in a strong signal area. Called Verizon. They said they had no equipment issues in the area and my phone was operating properly. I preordered the XR. A year of this will make me crazy.

BTW, just FYI, my Verizon software is on 34.0.1. As noted in pages ago, my signal in my house is slightly better than my wife’s iPhone 7. I am on 12.1 beta 4.

Really love the speed of my Max. It’s twice as fast as the X.

Once again this thread is nothing about speeds. It's about connectivity ! You can't talk or use data with fake bars

People complains a lot about slow LTE here in this thread. Also pointed out previously that the reception of the Max is better than 6S+.

One annoying this is when you loose reception it takes a while to get it back. Toggle flight mode solves this.

Well, I started having choppy phone calls and lost connections. I live in OC, CA. Not a “fringe” area in the least. On Verizon.

Never had the WiFi issue. But now having cell issues. Had Max since release.

And from most of what I’ve been hearing, none of the 12.1 betas have addressed the issue.

This sucks
It's cause it likely can't fix crappy hardware . Guess I will just wait till next year and try all over again

Sometimes cell service fluctuates on the providers' side. Suddenly having junky cell service doesn't mean much unless you have another phone nearby to test at the same time. Otherwise there are too many variables to suddenly blame it on the phone.

do not bother, friend. There are people who do not want to see reality, or it hurts to think that they have spent a lot of money on a defective phone.

Oh, so now you have changed your viewpoint...again...so, now, all iPhone Xs are defective. Got it. LOL

For you and the others insisting it's not an issue I took the screenshot below minutes ago. LTE is there.

This does happen...to any phone...to any carrier. The problem comes in if you cannot get service for prolonged periods.

My wife’s iPhone 7 also has occ intermittent no internet...that is why Airplane mode on/off is important.

Well when you have owned every Iphone and never seen searching for signal like my XS did 20 times in 3 days there is no doubt a major problem. The 7 on the same provider never dropped signal at all .

Return it. Exchange it. Do you still have it?
