Yep. So if I open up the Videos app on iOS, I have The Wire with the number 63 on the top right. I go into that folder and I have all 63 episodes in a row. As mentioned, it probably considers the Complete Series as one giant mega season.

If I go into the iTunes Store and look up the Complete Series, each episode has an iCloud download link. But if I search Season 1 in the iTunes Store, it gives me a $2.99 price tag. So iTunes considers an episode from a season as a different purchase from an episode of a complete series, even if it is technically the same show.

Lastly, if you search for a GoT season that you own, does the entire season give you a price tag? For example, each episode gives me an iCloud download link, but the main page gives me a price instead of a download link.

Right - got you now.

For me, in iTunes, it shows as one folder with each season split up.

It then appears as one long list in the Videos app.

There is a price tag for the whole season, but each individual episode (for my seasons 1-3) says Download.

Yes, the Sopranos Vol. 1 and 2 sets that I have are the same way. If you download the show to iTunes you can of course edit the metadata (such as season numbers), and it will show up like that in your homesharing library on Apple TV.

Same here (my seasons are redeemed digital copies from Blu-ray).

This is how it looks for me and the shows that I purchased. I have noticed some shows are displayed differently when expanded.

interesting. that all makes sense with thee TV series.

I have purchased/redeemed each season for Aerial America and GoT and they are showing as a folder with seasons
I have redeemed Boardwalk Empire as a complete series and it shows one folder and a whole slew of episodes.

I understand the concept of full series and season breakouts but wish they had the whole series as breakouts. it would make it easier than a long scroll through episodes.

You should be able to get a second redemption out of it. the second redemption would be either DC+ or XML-based.

If that's true then I may be sitting on a few vaulted disney titles. I've redeemed them through DMA. Is there any way to check DC+ redeems without actually redeeming them?

Just open a Private browser session at digitalcopyplus.com and enter the code.

I think it will ask you to log in or something, at which point you'd close the window

That is really nice to have some of those titles

DC+ just log in and you'll see a screen where you get to choose how to redeem the DC such as iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Agreed but I'd gladly scroll through 60 to 80 episodes if it means I can get it cheap in one shot. Buying all seasons of the Wire separately is $149 and The Complete Series is $75. The Sopranos Complete Series doesn't even exist on the US iTunes Store anymore. They make you buy each season separately for a total of $175! Still can't believe I got both for under $30.

oh yes. understood. i just wish Apple understood.

I also hate how the Fast & Furious movies are scattered, as are Jurassic Park and Nolan Batman trilogies to name a few.
I know that is because of the naming and like how Divergent and HungerGames are all together and in order.

Dude, is it a big deal to switch to a US account? I notice on the apple site is states you need US payment method and address....is that not the case? Is it as easy as switching the account in the settings?

Want to jump on the code train asap!

Oh don't get me started on Harry Potter. A few years ago the entire 8 film set was on sale on iTunes for just $10 so I snatched them up. About a month ago, they altered the digital covers to include 'Year 1, Year 2, etc.' on the bottom right corner. Since iOS sorts them alphabetically, my Harry Potter movies are now sorted as 2, 7, 4, 6, 5, 3, 1.

So you can sort of fix this for home sharing - in iTunes you can edit each movie, click on the Sorting tab, and change the Sort as to something like:

Harry Potter 1
Harry Potter 2
etc

If you leave the movies tab and go back in, they will be sorted correctly. This will carry over to iOS and ATV with home sharing only. Sadly, it doesn't carry over for iCloud listings.

that stinks about Harry Potter...though at $10 that was a "steal" of a deal

I guess I wish they had "smart" bundling for movies of the same series with odd titles.
and I kinda wish they had a "continue watching" on the AppleTV from something you were watching on another device. I get the "Recently Purchased" and "Popular Store" titles

I still have the lightest form of PTSD over that Harry Potter deal that accidentally happened a few years ago. I was in the habit at that time of checking the iTunes movie store late Monday nights to see what was new, and I consciously chose to not check the store on that particular late Monday. And then I found out about the "deal" the next morning very shortly after they had fixed it.
I try to tell myself that even if I had seen the deal that late Monday night, there's a decent chance I still might have postponed buying it, not fully realizing it was a mistake and it wouldn't last.

But who knows, man… who knows…

Managed to snag The Incredible Hulk for $1.50 last night so just IM and IM2 to go and the MCU is sorted.
Nice score! Didn't even think they had an Incredible Hulk iTunes code. For me, I can live without this one lol.

Yeah me neither - he said I could test the code beforehand so that was cool. HD version as well.

I'm looking for that movie and can't find it anywhere. Was it a iTunes code only or was it just the Full code for either UV or iTunes?

iTunes only.

I haven't seen it about that often either (if ever) so when I saw it for as cheap as that, I had to snap it up.

Thanks. I put it out there in the Google group that I was looking for it, and he gave it to me for free! Awesome.
