Anyone heard any talks about a UV-compatible app for the new ATV?
Fingers crossed that Vudu does. It's one of the main reasons I got the new ATV......once a UV compatible player comes, that opens up for me to buy UV titles if I want to.

Is there any way to import the UV movies into iTunes?
Or should I just keep on the look-out for iTunes codes?
I knoooow that somewhere in this section someone started a thread last night where they and others had the same problem with some of their iTunes content. I'm sorry I don't recall where that thread is, but you aren't the only one.So I got the new ATV, and now The Sopranos wont work from one of the codes I redeemed a couple days ago. The artwork shows up blank and then says there was an error, when trying to play it. It is fine on all of my other apple devices, so idk why it is only doing this on the new ATVAnyone else having issues with this, or any other complete TV series' they've bought or had?

Are they movies with iTunes Extras?Anyone else download movies into iTunes that you have purchased or redeemed? Since I've been purchasing and redeeming codes, I usually download the movies locally on my Mac Pro. I've been noticing where sometimes when I go back to my movie list in iTunes, I'm seeing the movie listed twice. Once for the download and again with the iCloud icon.
Any ideas why?
I can sign out and sign back in and things look correct....but it always comes back.
NOTE: It doesn't seem to do it for every movie either. If I go to the menu option to Hide iCloud Purchases, the iCloud ones go away and come back if I select it again. But this isn't for every movie. Some only have the one that I downloaded.

Are they movies with iTunes Extras?
That's odd.Yes. But I have many others that also have Extras and don't get duplicated. Most of the dups are Marvel/Disney movies.

That's odd.
I haven't experienced this because I don't download unless I'm about to watch it. But maybe going to the top menu bar and into View -- Hide iCloud Movie Purchases, and maybe turning back on Show iCloud Movie Purchases could sort it all out? Or if that doesn't fix it, maybe in leaving that view turned off, you might only see the copies you've downloaded and that could be preferable?Yeah....it's driving me NUTS!
Pretty sure it has something to do having a local copy. Apple probably doesn't want us to have local copies.....but I'm not about to sit here and rely on iCloud to be able to watch a movie

99.9% sure the answer is no, there is no directly through iTunes code. You have to redeem through Disney, then connect your iTunes account. It's really not that big of a deal, just an extra step I guess.Just to confirm, is there no straight up Disney iTunes code? Or is the DMA/DMR the actual iTunes code?
I am aware that once you set up DMA, you can take a DC+ or UV code and get the iTunes version. But I'm just wondering if there is a bona fide iTunes code for Disney movies?
Does a HO request involve a one to one video/webcam chat or is it text chatting?

Last question on Disney movies since I am about to purchase a few. I originally thought you can buy a DC+ code and redeem it on DMA but it doesn't seem like this is the case. If you want an iTunes copy, do you HAVE to buy a DMA code and not a DC+?
And a DMR is the same as DMA but it also includes Disney reward points? If someone has a DMA/DMR code, I need to ONLY redeem the DMA and not redeem the DMR portion? Do sellers clearly label if you should redeem both or not?
Thanks this was really helpful. So if I just care about iTunes, I purchase a DC+ code, redeem it for iTunes, connect it to my DMA account, and then I have an iTunes and DMA copy?Like @akuma13 said.......just text chatting. Typically if you find a person you want to buy/trade with you send a HO and then also add a comment to the post saying HO sent. That way if they don't see the HO request, they'll know to look for it.
When doing it this way be ready. Have your PP account open in another tab, so you can send the money right away. They will send the code once you tell them money has been sent. While still in the HO, most people will wait for you to redeem the code just in case there are issues.
I've purchased from 4-5 different people and so the experience has been great. I've completed my Marvel collection, Home Alone's, and Toy Story's.
So far I have $250 worth of movies (iTunes pricing) for just $101.
A DC+ movie has to be redeemed at http://www.digitalcopyplus.com/
Once entered there, it will ask you to select where you want to redeem it. If buying a DC+ code, you can't select DMA on the next screen. You have to select iTunes or Vudu for example. It will then redeem the movie in whatever you select.
DMA codes are the ones that include the movie and rewards, and those can the redeemed on the DMA site.
Remember, have an account for iTunes and Vudu and make sure they are linked to your DMA account. That way no matter where you buy it, the Disney movie will be everywhere.
EDIT: DMR is usually just the points - no movie. When you buy a Disney movie you can redeem for the movie and points. Some people sell just the points. These are usually MUCH cheaper (because they don't have a movie).
When buying Disney, you are looking for DMA, DC+, Full Code or XML. Note with XML you need the DMG workaround to redeem it. And only Disney movies in XML are HD.

If you link your Amazon and iTunes to DMA, you can redeem DC+ with Amazon and you will also get the DMA & DMR points, with it automatically showing up in iTunes. This is because Amazon applies a promotional credit that you use to "buy" the movie with. This shows up as an eligible purchase for the points. I've done it a couple of times now.
