I've dealt with executive response teams before, too. But I don't say I'm corresponding with the president when I'm talking to their STAFF. Big, big difference.

You got me. I typed that fast and left out a key detail. Satisfied? The three words back and forth i should have clarified to be with the exec team.

Don't you hate forums where you have to be extremely careful of the words you use in your sentences because people are going to pick them apart to try and make a liar out of you?

My favorite is saying something that should quite clearly be interpreted as a personal stance on a subject but then being demanded links as proof of what you're saying. In surprised nobody asked you for your emails...

Through no fault of your own, this thread has become a cesspool because people can't respect the opinions and experiences of another person (unless that jives with their own opinions and experiences). Every. Damn. Time.

Yeah man i chalk it up to a flawed human response where people dont want to think critically or admit what they have may be wrong. They set up a strawman and then knock it down and use it as an excuse to not think critically. "He said this small thing so I dont have to consider anything else he says". Sad really.

For starters I've noticed the battery is better. Plus low-light pictures will be better.
In our random tests we can't really tell which phone takes what photos. We will obviously try and just use the 7 in all situations and compare later, but the keynote led me to believe there'd be an enormous difference in low light picture quality. The only phone I've noticed a clear and definable difference (that I've used) was a Lumia 920. That absolutely surprised me. In surprised by the 7 camera as well, but for the wrong reasons; it hasn't lived up to the hype. Battery has been fine. And the speakers are actually a big improvement too.

Bless your hearts. I don't currently have a 7, so I don't really care either way. But details? Are important. And you clearly left them out intentionally.

Have fun with your 6s and try not to lose your mind because people don't agree with you. It isn't healthy. Byeeeeee.

The only time I sent an email to a CEO of a company and got a response from that person was John Legere from T-Mobile.

Out of curiosity, are you using HDR?

That's very cool. I used to work with an executive at a massive company, and people were always amazed when he called them personally. He really did care.

He gets trashed here plenty too lol. The reality is he probably wasn't the one who responded to that email. Or maybe he was.

Years ago I wrote a letter to Ronald Reagan because I did a report in school on him. I got a letter back with an autographed photo. Doubt he wrote the letter. Not even sure he autographed it.

The point is that high profile individuals often have teams working for them answering their emails, letters, social media, etc. not always but often. I always assumed that was understood and basically just a given.

I've gone back and forth on it. Tried changing flash settings to on off and auto.

St the end of the day I just said screw it. I figure it's not worse and wife wanted thenohone so that's good enough. I personally was in the fence and the camera was what might push me over. So far it hasn't. But it might as we just organically take photos and see how they look.

We take a bunch of photos but I have no formal or otherwise training. I poijtnand shoot and hope for the best.

As far as the button requiring skin, as the previous poster mentioned if I'm using my phone I'm either going to have my gloves off to begin with or I'll be using touchscreen gloves so not really an issue.

....

Except that those special touchscreen gloves also don't work on the iPhone 7 home button. Stop holding the phone with gloves on, you're holding it wrong.

When attempting to use it with gloves, is there way to unlock it with a 4 or 6-digit key instead of a fingerprint?

Lol people are crazy. Feels cheap? It's the same phone minus the antenna bands. I get that it's not a huge upgrade but to say it's a downgrade or feels cheaper is nuts.

My guess is that it has to do with the removal of the physical home button and the new taptic feedback in its place.

I talked to a gal working the returns counter at Costco one time. She said people bring back all kinds of stuff, worn out socks, spoiled produce they've had for weeks. The worst? A guy who brought back 4 bags of ice. In January. In Anchorage, Alaska.

Just compared my iPhone 6 to my wife's new 7. The 7 is definitely more yellow. However I found that my eyes adjusted within seconds. If I look at the 6 for a few seconds then go to the 7, the 6 seems more natural and the 7 seems yellow. If I then focus on the 7 for a few seconds it starts to look natural white and then I look at the 6 and the whites look completely grey.

I'm now out walking with my 6 and it looks yellow. Ultimately I'm not sure it matters. What I will say is that playing with the brightness also changed the look.

I didn't max out the brightness on either, I usually settle for a level somewhere around 50%.

Still excited to get my plus.
[doublepost=1474272595][/doublepost]I can see the gloves with home button will be a real issue. The fix in software will likely be to power on with the power button and a swipe feature will return bringing back the pin code keys.

After a bit more time with my IP7 i'm beginning to like it a lot more.....however a few things still may lead me to return it....

The Matte Black....It's actually grown on me to a point I think i prefer it over the Space Grey 6s
The Home Button......again....it's grown on me to a point I prefer it.....BUT......(see below)
The yellow-ish screen......doesn't bother me that much

So far so good.....

BUT.......I now have to carry an extra "thing" around with me when I travel with work......before I could use my 3.5mm Apple Headphones with my iPhone 6s, my Work Windows Phone, my iPad and my laptop.....now I have to carry either an additional adapter and use the 3.5mm phones or an extra set of phones to use with the IP7 along with the 3.5mm phones for the other two......wireless is not an option due to cost and teh need to be able to switch between all 4 devces multiple times

And the Home Button......I like the new design but why oh why have Apple decided that the ONLY way to access the pin unlock screen is by pressing the home button......even pressing teh power button there's no way to access it???

I take my iPhone running with me and it is in a Armband case that will not operate the home button so that's ANOTHER case i've got to rebuy because of this simple oversight

The way I see it, the headphone adapter adds about 2" to the already lengthy cord on my T51p Beyer Dynamics. It's a non issue for me. Heck I used to carry a USB DAC and Camera Connection Kit for a while. The 3.5mm adapter is barely a thing.

Rene Ritchie at iMore posted some comparison shots that show quite a contrast with the 6s. I'd check out that site as they are more likely to post some brief stories on how to use the camera. In most cases it for an ordinary pointer and shooter I'm guessing it is most effective at the fringes.

Yeah pros and cons are fine...but the 6s is faster? This isn't a review it's the diatribe of a mad man.

I think some people feel the 6s feels faster since the hypothesis goes as such: the 7 normally used the two lower powered cores for daily tasks whereas the 6s is always using the A9 chip; the A10 is more powerful yes but some people question whether or not the low powered cores are weaker than the A9 and that is a fair thing to bring up I think

For the record, both phones are identical in speed from my use.

Can you point to any of my concerns that arent legitimate?

Even if you can argue away that these are small things, they are still worse than the 6S. Why would I trade in my sapphire covered clickable home button, perfect screen, and headphone jack for whatever it is that the 7 offers? Just food for thought...I think Apple is in trouble on this one...the sapphire removal is a typical corporate cost cutting move..and Apple is supposed to be different.

Okay we get it. You don't like the iPhone 7. I love mine and so do millions of other people. Saying that we are "kidding ourselves" to think the iPhone 7 is better is just stupid. We are all entitled to an opinion and personally I love my i7 screen. There's no mystical "yellow tint" and my pictures come out fantastic.

So keep your 6s and let everyone who actually wants to upgrade, do so.

I think people need to keep in mind the 2 year cycle. For me, it was obvious from the start that the iPhone 7 is NOT for 6S owners. If you have a 6S, you will most likely not be very impressed with the 7 (as we see with the OP).

On the other hand, if your coming from a 6 (or 5S in the case of the cute girl standing in front of me at the Apple store line), then the iPhone 7 is definitely a proper upgrade.
Not really

I went to the Apple Store and played with the new iPhones . They're not any faster than the 7s. That's jumping around menus etc.

The screen isn't that much different and nor is the camera that much different

The home button feels weird . Definitely avoid the jet black.
