I don't feel that the watch is expensive so that really isn't my concern. I'm more interested in the usability issue. The scenario I outlined (job change where Apple products aren't "allowed") where this might be a plausible work around .

I've backed the project so we'll see how it ends up!

The aluminum sports watch isn't that expensive, I agree -- but mine is the stainless steel Space Black. Of course much of the cost of it is due to the Space Black link bracelet rather than just the watch itself, but still..... Currently, unfortunately one cannot buy the Stainless Steel Space Black watch on its own; must come with the bracelet, so damaging the watch itself could turn into an expensive situation, and chances are that AppleCare Plus wouldn't cover it.

It does sound as the usability scenario might work out for you, though, if you were able to wear a pretty "pendant" to work or slip the encased watch into a pocket......certainly worth thinking about !

I don't have a sports watch either. I have the SS Milanese loop (plus far too many accessories/bands to mention). I prefer platinum or silver jewelry so went with that choice. I was into yellow gold many years ago but knew if I ordered the edition, I wouldn't have "loved" it. If they'd had offered a white gold version, I'd have been in . Excited to see what the kickstarter project does. It's still early but I don't think they'll reach their 25k funding goal :/.

Since I wear gold jewelry most of the time, I would have loved to have been able to have afforded an Edition, but as a retiree on a fixed income that's more than a bit out of my price range! LOL! I have seen where some people have gone with the Stainless Steel and then had it gold-plated, but I would hate to take chances with that and void my Apple warranty, etc. Also I wonder just how well that gold plating will stand up to day-in-and-day-out wear-and-tear.....

I contacted my jeweler to ask him to put diamonds on mine but he's in Los Angeles so I don't want to be without my watch (I'd need to send it to him). I'll have to have him look at it the next time I'm in the US .

You did live out why I posted the message you quoted. 2 people were extremely rude and not just to me but the other ladies in this thread and something had to be said keeping it respectful of course. Otherwise the Admins would've seen to it to be removed and they didn't. The drama had been past for those 2 posts where whom generated it had been completely past and forgotten about; and and now you're bringing this up? WHY?
I saw the push by MacRumors onTwitter as well and I am deeply humbled by it.
It is sad that no one can be happy for us women in this thread who are actually helping each other, Battrstan, AllieFlowers, and 3under2 among the rest have done a lot as well for this thread so the credit isn't just mine, this is an informational thread for women whom have interest in this things.
We usually are looked down under as reviewers. Have I known that for 10+ years being in this environment reviewing out there. As to why it makes you upset, it actually baffles me.

Don't like it, don't read it, don't scroll and don't dish it. Simply ignore it if you must. If there's a reason why you personally don't feel benefited by it it's totally fine if you don't want to be here it's okay. And you don't have to for none is forcing you to.
MacRumors was generous to actually do this for us for all the effort us Ladies have put in here and it is sad that none can see it that way, but many of us women don't have an specific thread we can gather an dish about all the cool accessories out there for us women, so someone had to create one and I took it upon myself to do so, even men interested in cool accessories for their loved ones and even children. Are here also collaborating.

I am disappointed that my Bohemian leather loop still hasn't shipped. The seller promises it will be sent out by Thursday, reminding me of the first two times I tried ordering the red leather loop. <sigh>

I wonder if our friend Richard (Utica guy) can get some of the patterned loops.
