Yeah, on that count I definitely prefer it to the Note. Absolutely. The shape is perfect. But again...SUPER light. Maybe part of that is due to my handling a Note and iPhone 8 Plus for the last two weeks. I think they're the heaviest phones on the market.

Hmm, that actually makes me feel a little more interested in it. My 7 Plus is so damn heavy. It's exhausting holding it.

Just stopped by a T-Mobile store in downtown Chicago, nice young lady said she'd let me open their first display unit and turn it on to play with :)

- Super compact sleek design, really beautiful phone, I say best looking Android of 2017.

- Screen to body ratio is great, it's all screen.

- Like the way the glass meets up with the rounded corners of the phone, all seamless.

- Phone is very feather lightweight, looking at it seems like it should weigh more.

- The UI OS is smooth, but very plain and generic design. It needs icon pack and theming to look better. Out of the box very boring UI, looks dated design wise. LG themes suck compared to Samsung.

- Vibration motor is like the iPhone, meaning very good.

- Screen looked great

- Feel in hand very comfortable rounded corners feel smooth, easy to hold

So that's it after few minutes.

If they made a GPE ( Google Play Edition ) of this phone, it'd be the best Android phone in years.

I played with one this afternoon. Really weird. It's so light it doesn't feel premium or sturdy. I know that can't be the case, the materials used are supposed to be quality.

I didn't really see anything better than what my Note 8 offers other than the wide angle camera. I'm not an audiophile so the dac doesn't intrigue me.

Interesting observations. I have yet to play with on in person, I may pop into Verizon this weekend and check one out. My main reason for this being in my list is because it doesn't have the curved edges, versus the Note 8 which I owned and returned in large part due to that. I know what you mean about the heft, I'm not sure I would like a light phone either.

Its so light you'd swear it was a dummy model at first.

I like that. I need to play with a demo once they get it in my local store(s).

If it's that light, it won't be absurdly heavy with a case. Which is good. My 7 Plus with a Tech21 case is like a brick. Heavy.

TBH, the Note8 is heftier than most phones, almost any phone I touch after my Note8 feels light and cheap, lol.

But I do get what you mean. :)

I wonder why there aren't any reviews from the usual suspects yet. Everyone and their brother did some form of early impressions video about a month ago.

Good thing about LG phones, they drop in price significantly months after release.

Look at the LG G6 here, it was released in April, and it's now $499 brand new from Best buy, and this is the officially unlocked version, that can be rooted and ROM'd, where the carrier version are locked down tight.

$479 here;

The V30 will hit this price point early next year by Feb / March, probably sooner. But even the G6 at $479, that's still a very nice phone, and at that price I would highly recommend it if your not cool with the insanely high flagship prices now reaching $900+

I'm seriously debating holding out to see a price drop. I'm just not as spend happy with phones as I once was.

I seem to no longer get that "Wow!" factor anymore. It's kind of sad.

Because annual upgrades are pointless today. A flagship from 2016 compared to one today is barely any different in day to day use.

iPhone 7 Plus Vs. 8 Plus, no point to blow $800 if you already have the 7 Plus. And Android too, a phone from last year compared to a new $900 phone won't let you text faster, won't get home your e-mails much faster, won't browse the web better. Phone calls will still be the same.

Xerxes!

Edit to add...when Xerxes steals the cables, that’s what happens to me with my cat and the headphone dongles if I don’t keep it plugged into the headphones. Somehow they know not to mess with my earbuds or headphones but the dongle is apparently considered fair game.

While I'm excited for my Pixel 2 XL pre-order, I keep looking at the V30 and thinking, "Wowww." That phone is a work of art. And it has a 3.5mm jack with a quad-DAC for the audio-philes like me. AND wireless charging! It really does have everything you could want in a flagship smartphone. LG knocked it out of the park.

That little voice in the back of my head keeps saying, "It's not too late to cancel that pre-order!" :p

My Wife has the LG G6, and she's satisfied with it no complaints. I play with her phone often, and it's smooth, and nice enough. It's just a plain vanilla UI kind of boring, but with Nova and a icon pack + Pixel theme, it freshens it up.

So if the V30 is a better version of the GAME, it should be a very nice phone.

Well I ordered the V30 on JoD with TMO. It should be here on Friday. I will turn in my Note 8 for the V30

Not a fan of having it on the top though.
